Sudden Ban After Few Rounds of Bot Mode

I am so frustrated. I play this game since first week of the release. A total of more than 3500 hours for all my accoutns combine. This season the bot mode was evoluted and can make gun mastering progression so my main account, which has 6 heirlooms, 1 prestige skin, numerous discontinued and never came back skins, 6000 AC unspent, 150 heirloom shards unspent, 60 green coins unspent, more than 1500 dollars charged, had been playing bot mode for this season all the time. The season stats are all 0 0 0.

Yesterday after played 4 rounds of bot mode for gun master progession, I got banned. Not during the game, but 20 minutes after I closed the game (I checked EA data). If I used third party cheating tools, charged money using other's credit card, used DMA and some other hardware, I had nothing to complain. There is zero reason and logic to use any "Gameplay Enhencement" to risk my main account if I betrayed myself in the end and become a goddamn hacker.

The funnies thing is, because of the Gundam event, I really love Char Aznable skin for sparrow, so I decided every single one of my other accounts must have it. So for the first time, all my other accounts had all been played for at least one day (many of them were played 3 - 4 days) in the last 10 days, and none of them was also banned for using "Gameplay Enhencement", and guess how many are my other accounts? ELEVEN. The only difference by the style of playing is that my main account only plays Bot mode, and others play wildcard and rank. All were played on the same PC, same devices, same person, same skill level, same span of time.

I appealed within minutes of finding my account was banned and no reply from the ToS team so far and I am feeling constant anxiety for the past 2 days. If my main account was banned for Gameplay Enhencement, how come all other 11 are safe and sound, there is no chance my PC ever installed any malicious apps to make EAC flags it, otherwise all my accounts would all be banned. The only reason I could possibly think of is I farmed too many bots. Those bots can seckill you and that day was the only day for the past 30 days that each round of the game I won and killed around 20 bots per game without getting killed by bots and exit the game the second I got downed. Is farming too many bots considered cheating nowadays?

Any thoughts? I am so desperate and helpless

  • You’re not alone. Something very similar just happened to me and I’m honestly really stressed about it.

I have around 2294 hours in Apex Legends, and it’s my main game. I’ve also spent a fair amount of money on it — in fact, just before going into bot mode, I put 10 euros into the game. I have 2 heirlooms, and I literally got one of them just last week. That’s exactly why this makes zero sense to me... why would I risk an account like that by using anything that could be considered “gameplay enhancement”?

Just like you, I was playing several matches in the bot mode (Bot Royale or whatever it’s called), and after finishing and closing the game, I suddenly got the message that my account was banned.

    Same situation as you:

    • No cheats, no unfair tools
    • Same PC, same setup
    • Only my main account banned, while my other accounts are completely fine

If this was really about software or cheating, it just doesn’t make sense that only one account gets banned. And adding money to the game right before getting banned makes it even more absurd. why would I spend money if I was supposedly cheating?

I’m honestly feeling very anxious right now because this is my main game, and I don’t invest time and money into something just to get banned for no reason.

What you described matches my situation almost exactly. So yeah… you’re definitely not alone in this.

Hi, happy but sorry to see i am not alone. what is your appealing result, i just got refused. And yes, they replied like AI without telling the exact real reason. Trying to find a more realistic way to work this around with a real person

I encountered the same issue. My account has nearly 4,000 hours of playtime and owns 31 Mythic items. This is also the game I've played the longest and invested the most in. I was banned on March 16th at 18:29:46, which was exactly when my last match ended. I had been in the game since 13:37:03 that day (all this information comes from the DSAR ). I played all afternoon until I was banned. I had already played several consecutive matches of Bot Royale before the ban, and my last match was also Bot Royale. In that match, I got 20 kills—it was my best game ever, with the highest kills and accuracy. Then they banned my account. I was banned the moment the "Champion" screen appeared, and I didn't even get to see the animation afterward. This clearly shows that I was banned because of my performance in that match.

I also have another account, and on March 14th I used that account to play with friends on the same device. As of today, that account is still normal. I can say with certainty that I did not use any cheating software, nor did I use any form of hardware cheating. I have no reason to risk my high-value account by cheating, especially in Bot Royale mode. Yet they still banned my account, also citing "gameplay enhancements." I kept the instant replay from the five minutes before the ban, and even though I prepared very thorough evidence to appeal, I only received a template rejection email.

I strongly suspect that EA's anti-cheat system cannot distinguish between real players and AI players, and that they do not adjust the anti-cheat thresholds for different modes. We all know EA's track record—my suspicion is most likely the truth. You are not alone. Behind you, there are many players who were banned for the same reason. Stay strong.

  • Also glad to see I'm not alone, I've got the same issue.
False ban for "Gameplay Enhancement", I was not cheating and the appeals system is like talking to a brick wall.
Hoping EA sorts out this issue soon, I've had my account for a while and I did enjoy playing this game with friends

  • Just got the same issue here, after week of playing another games before the season's split 2.
After the update, I've played severals game with the bot Bot Royale mode to improve my skill.
Boom got banned with "Gameplay Enhancement" too. What do I do now? 😭

  • Same here, although it wasn't instant, I literally played hundreds of matches before I got banned for "gameplay enhancement" I mean if they didn't want us to play that mode consistently then they should have set limits, and if they wanted new player to learn the game it should be locked out after lvl 20.  In the same boat as for the appeal process, auto denied.

    Same here ! 😭
14 278 hours on the game from 2019.
    Only play Bots Royale Evolved : Top 1, Top 1, Top 1 / 20 bombs, 20 bombs, 20 bombs...

And then => PERMANENT BAN for "Gameplay Enhencement" ! 🤬

EA PLZ ! Stop this QUICKLY ! Your IA ban LEGIT players who only play with BOTS !!!
