They're looking for artefacts; a Jedi Holocron or Lightsaber can make you a lot of credits on the black market
In ROTE, Jabba went to Hoth to secure a Wampa for his menagerie
because it's the only way they feel they can make $$$. The krakens are so addicted to getting max rewards that they'd buy a steaming pile of Chewbacca's s--t if it was required for the next raid.
