A week on The Sims Forums
Sul Sul my lovelies!
Welcome back to another Friday! It’s been a very rainy week here in Texas, and I am loving a break from the summer heat. What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Mine is a movie marathon and baking, and I think this weekend I’ll make an apple pie ☺️
So what all happened this week?
- On Tuesday, the latest Laundry List dropped, be sure to check it out for a preview of the upcoming fixes here!
- Tuesday also brought us another exciting Discord Dev Drop-in as we discussed the upcoming Autosave feature, Memory Boost, and the newly beloved Save Reminder Gnomes. If you didn’t get a chance to join, you can catch up here!
- And yesterday we had yet another round of free Maker Kits hit the Marketplace- be sure to grab Giant Eraser Lamp & Lily Dress before they’re gone!
- Yesterday brought another surprise as well- get ready to pump up the volume with the newest kit, Music Den, available on July 23rd!

Time to get cozy with this week’s highlights!
- It’s time for another giveaway! This week, simgirl1010 is hosting a brand new Pick a Pack giveaway to win your very own copy of City Living, Strangerville, Vampires or Werewolves. If you’d like to enter, all you need to do is comment with which pack you’re interested in. This giveaway closes on Saturday, with 4 different winners being announced Sunday, so get those entries in while you still can! 🌇🪴🧛♀️🐺
- And for those of you keeping up with the current Petite Alsace world building collaboration (and if you’re not… you really should), this week Sandraelle has shared a stunning Alsatian style farmhouse, Ferme de Ribeauvillé. This classically styled countryside estate includes 5 large bedrooms, a private office & library, an upstairs playroom for the kids, and even an artist studio. Outside on the estate’s grounds, you’ll find a large garden and orchard wrapped around a relaxing koi pond, a chicken coop, and even a waterfall pool. This estate is the perfect place for a large family looking to enjoy the quiet countryside life, so be sure to check it out! 🥚🐣🐓
- Up next, kukkahilla wants to know what kind of museums you have in your game. My favorite place to visit is the Museum of the Weird (if you haven’t been, you need to go!) so I love building weird quirky roadside attractions for my Sims full of oddities and curiosities. But what do you like to create? Do you use museums to display your Sim’s collectables and artifacts, or do you prefer creating upscale modern art galleries? Are your museums curated with a particular theme in mind, or do you like to display a random selection of stuff? Let us know, and be sure to share your screenshots! 🖼️🦴🏺
- One of my favorite weekend activities is taking my daughter to the park, and this Appaloosa Family Park created by DaniRose2143 is the exact type of place we’d love to visit. With a sand pit, playscape, swingset, and even a puppet show stage, we could easily spend the entire afternoon here. So if you’re looking to take the kids out to burn off some energy, host a small picnic, or even just enjoy a book outside, this little family park is just for you! 🛝🧺🌳
- And finally, Plumbob Pines, the hottest retirement community in town is now accepting new residents! In this new CAS challenge, Shelly’s Elder Challenge by ShellyE1, your goal is to create an elder Sim and craft a unique backstory on their history, memories, and life achievements. So whether your elder is a retired A lister, a southern Memaw, or the village hermit be sure to share them with us and celebrate their golden years! 👴🏾👵🏼
And that’s a wrap for this week! As always- stay safe, have a great weekend, and happy Simming! 💚
Till next time!
