Search What You See with SimSearch
Big Red House? There's a Search for That.
Sul Sul, Simmers!
Have you tried SimSearch in The Gallery yet?
Since last week’s launch, we've noticed many players are still searching using single words and keywords. While that still works, SimSearch can do much more.
SimSearch was designed to help you find creations in new ways through both Cross-Language Search and Text-to-Image Search. So instead of thinking about the exact title, hashtag, or creator name, you can describe what you're looking for and let SimSearch do the work.
Search Across Languages
One of the biggest benefits of SimSearch is that it can surface creations from Simmers around the world, even if they uploaded them in a different language. Cross-Language Search looks beyond titles and hashtags, helping connect you with content you may never have found before.
Try searches like:
- Big red house
- La maison verte
- Femme rouge
- Petite maison bleue
You might discover amazing creations from creators who don't speak your language, but whose builds are exactly what you're looking for!
Describe What You Want
With Text-to-Image Search, you don't have to guess the perfect keyword. Instead, think about the visual elements you're searching for.
Want a red farmhouse to match your new red horse barn? Try looking up “big red house”
Need a new cemetery to store all your urns and tombstones? You can search “ghosts”
Looking for something more on the industrial architecture side? Try typing in “metal fence”
SimSearch goes beyond traditional text matching and helps connect your search terms to what appears in Gallery images.
Experiment and Explore
The best way to use SimSearch is to get creative.
Think about:
- Colors
- Styles
- Objects
- Themes
- Architectural features
- Mood and atmosphere
The more you experiment, the more hidden gems you'll uncover from the incredible Sims community.
SimSearch is currently in Beta, and we're continuing to improve it based on your feedback. So jump into The Gallery, try some unexpected searches, and let us know what you find.
Happy searching!
