The latest version of EA anticheat is required to play
I was playing Battlefield (BF2042) 2042 just fine the other night when I got this error. Security Breach (Upper left corner of pop up window). The body read: The latest version of EA anticheat is required to play. Please see: https://help.ea.com/help/pc/ea-anticheat/ on how to update to latest version. (136) I tried the above link and that did not work in any way shape or form. I did this several times without luck. I did the whole empty cache and app recovery. No luck. I uninstalled the EA app and battlefield 2042. One would think a fresh installation would install the required updated version of EA's anticheat. That was a HARD NO. Windows updates: everything is and was up to date and drivers are up to date. I can play any other game from any other platform with no issues whatsoever. Question: Why the hell am I the one having to manually do an update for ES's anticheat software? This seems to be something that is your job. I paid for a service and have to manually fix your garbage. Nah, makes absolutely zero cents. I know I'm coming across as abrasive but this isn't just about not being able to play a game. Just like EA, it's about money. The most important thing on this planet. This is a waste of money.Sims 4 get away unplayable
When I am on a get away my sims AND npc sims start to do nothing after a short while. They just stand still, do nothing. Reset them dont help. Then it's over for a few seconds and then they again start to freeze/do nothing. No time left for the activities. I can also see the sims time clock being glitchy. It makes jumps from seconds, jumps back, and stand still
Save files corrupt and could not be read by the game error BF2042
I started this new thread as maybe the new title is more to the point. I just started getting this error even though the day before I played the game with no issues. I tried all the usual tips and tricks to no avail. Then I tried playing the game on my other PC that I used to play on before building this new one and had the same exact error. So it's coming from EA having my game files in a corrupt state. How to successfully contact support as recently I tried about other issues and they never even acknowledge I have created a new case even after 3 attempts. Or if you know any other way to fix this error let me know. Thanks
Wheeled warrior not popping
Hello! I would love to be able to get the platinum of this game and wheeled warrior is my last trophy missing and even although I have completed the requirements and obtained T1 with LATV4 and Pondhawk didn’t get no trophy yet. I will keep playing this amazing get and eventually get more vehicles to T1 but is there anything that can be done about it? I have tried several ways to try to unlock it like launching random games, getting them to level 41 or waiting some days and nothing seems to work. Any advice or fixed on this matter would help a lot. I know other people have the same issue.Connection issues
Hello all, Everytime I log into to play battlefield it takes ages to connect online I know its not my Internet as every game works fine juat battlefield for some reason it just won't connect then when it does it never shows my social friends online almost like im in a bad lobby for example I log into fc26 just fine straight away but battlefield nope just won't let me in ive also deleted it and re downloaded it and same thing i wonder if EA can look into this for me please as its frustrating and I want to buy the new one but if the same issues persist then won't be worth it for me
Hazard Zone is unplayable for the last two days.
For the last two days Hazard Zone has been completely unplayable, every time I find a match on a Discarded map, the game is stuck on loading screen and it loads endlessly and I have to restart the game to get back to the menu. Also cannot find any other map than Discarded. Please restart the servers or something.Emergency Compatibility Break: Discord Game Overlay may silently conflict.
While it is very close to the end of 2042's Free Pass for BF6, and to the launch of BF6 itself, it has been discovered that the Discord Game Overlay, the way it interacts with at least AMD drivers but possibly also others, and how it interacts with Battlefield 2042 may cause a severe breakdown within Battlefield 2042. What this breakdown appears to manifest as within Battlefield 2042 is the following symptoms: 1. Textures and shaders taking too long to load (A few to Tens of minutes/most of the match, as opposed to just 1 to a few minutes at most. SSDs mask this problem with their Asynchronous I/O support and higher I/O activity potential, but do not outright stop it.). 2. Shaders not loading correctly or with full detail, even after tens of minutes of gameplay. 3. Specular effects on player outfit materials not appearing consistently or at all when actually in a map. 4. Soldier outfits/uniforms and bodies sometimes only having the Mud material applied to all of it, as a consequence of shader material layering breaking down. If you wish to avoid this problem for now, going into Discord's Game Overlay settings and turning off the Messages and Go Live notification setting may help for now, or even turning it off outright for Battlefield 2042 may also help. This is not a complete solution, however, as few players will ever want to set those manually in practice. A real compatibility fix may require one of the following: 1. Adding explicit exceptions for the Discord Game overlay and its DLL injection mechanism within EA Anticheat. One of the first places the Discord Overlay will like to display and render is in anti-cheat windows, as seen with Easy Anti-Cheat. This may have to be accounted for here also. 2. Adding explicit exceptions for the Steam Overlay and its injection mechanism if not already accounted for. It likes to hang the game a little whenever it is invoked and rendered for the first time compared to the EA App Overlay, and I wonder why that is. 3. Releasing a hotfix for Battlefield 2042 to better account for this source of interference. This is also mentioned because it has likely been an issue for at least 1 year, and since it may or may not also affect BF6 a little to a lesser extent. I will have to retest BF6 when it launches, but for now, see if this nets anything worthwhile.BF2042 new issues today
Yesterday I played for 4 hours with a few minor crashes as usual but today, I download the BF6 pre-download as I had an email saying I could. That all seemed to download just fine. I also uninstalled the files from the BF6 beta while I was at it. So today I was just going to play 1 or 2 maps after I got my work done and it's a major nightmare yet again. First I got a green screen error about a page fault and it mentioned the Microsoft Insiders Version which I do not even use andafter a reboot the game would not load with some error about trying again later as the issue was on EA's side. Then I tried again later and now I am getting error messages about my game files being corrupt so I look up how to fix it and delete the Battlefield folder after trying to delete the 2 profile files that didn't work. I have to CTRL/ALT/DEL to get past the corrupt file errors and shut it down. All I keep getting is errors about my game files being corrupt. I even uninstalled BF2042 and the EA AntiCheat and still get the same errors. WTF?? So I tried to load BF4 and it works fine...Go figure. Arrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!Banned account
I've also posted this in the general discussion but thought I would share it here also to potentially have some sort of response: My account was randomly banned on Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 2042. I wanted to go back to these games after having fun playing the BF6 beta. Last time I played Battlefield 1 was towards the end of 2023, but after trying to sign to play in August of this year I was notified that my account has been banned from playing on July 1st. I honestly didn't think this was a massive issue as I had 2042 I could still play. I was able to play 2042 for maybe 2-3 days before I got another message saying that I was banned from 2042 as well. I appealed both bans through EA help only to have my Battlefield 1 appeal closed, their reasoning was "this is a duplicate of an existing appeal" and I can't resubmit. My appeal for 2042 was also denied. I asked for reasoning as to why the account was banned, the best they came up with was "Violating User Agreement" or using "Gameplay Enhancements". I've asked that if they have the means, please review my gameplay for the proof that I have not used any exploits or cheats of any kind. I never use in game chat and exclusively talk with my friends through discord. The appeal was denied again. "We have received your most recent correspondence expressing concerns about the action that was taken on your account. After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures. Due to this violation, we will not remove the sanction that was applied to your account." I refuse to buy Battlefield 6 because of this. Absolutely no specific reason was given to what I have done to violate their terms. If anyone else has had a similar experience and had it rectified please let me know
Can't Connect to BF2042 – Ban Removed (Error EC:10901 / EC:10608)
Hi EA team and community, I’m hoping someone can help or clarify what’s going on. I was previously banned from Battlefield 2042, but that penalty has since been removed and the case is now marked as closed. However, when I try to launch the game, I still can’t connect — I consistently get error codes EC:10901 and EC:10608, and sometimes a message that says “your account is banned.” This has been happening for over a week now. I’ve tried: Restarting my PC and router Clearing cache Reinstalling the game Logging in from different devices Nothing has worked. The ban is lifted, so I don’t understand why I still can't access the game. On top of that, I’ve spent hours trying to find a way to contact EA Support or the Terms of Service team again, but there’s no way to open a new case. Every time I submit through the webform, I just get a message saying “Thanks for submitting your issue. Choose an option for more help,” with no confirmation email, no case ID, and no actual contact or resolution options — just self-help articles. I’m completely stuck here. I just want to get back into the game and earn those precious Battlefield 6 skins before it's too late. Can anyone point me in the right direction or escalate this to someone who can actually look into it? Thanks, BowWasTaken
Battlefield 2042 PC freeze on startup
Hello, i have the same thing for over 2 months now. BF games (2042 and for 1 day bf6 beta did the same) At first i thought it was the anticheat. Uninstalled it and played bf6 beta for days. After it ended i couldnt get on 2042. Both games freeze the whole pc on startup and all i can do is force shutdown by pressing the power button. Troubleshooting sometimes it is fixed but most of the time it happens. I have tried EVERYTHING. I even got a new motherboard, got my 5090 RMAed. Still bf2042 cannot start and freezes the PC. I cannot understand what the problem is or how to solve it. bf6 is 2 weeks away and i don't think i will be able to play since they share a lot of common things with 2042. I've spend decades of hours to get the last achievemnt in my steam version game. And after hourds of suffering playing with LATV4 this achievement didn't pop up. Nor in EA account neither in STEAM. I got banned from bf 2042 but i dont know the reason. Before a BF6 i play a bit just as regular. Today at 10.02 i try play agia before bf6 realise and got the screen i got ban. has been happening weirdly every day since i redownloaded the game a few days ago. I just dont know what the issue is, im well over capable of getting 200 FPS constantly so its not a hardware issue at all and my LAT ms and TN ms doesnt go higher than 25 each so im looking for a possible solution if there is any
