BF2042 Crash No error
Hi all, Not played this game in years, upon returning in prep for BF6 i've found I can no longer play. If i start the game in full screen mode the game loads fine, get's to main menu then after a few seconds just freezers and CPU usage spikes to 100%. If I load in windowed mode I can search for a game but as soon as the game begins to load in, the game freezes again with no error. I've tried the User.cfg trick, deleted and reinstalled both the game and all my drivers, done a clean boot but cpu and verified gamefiles usuage still spikes to 100% and causes issues. Tried every single forum and reddit suggestion and still nothing works. Does anyone have an ideas before I just give up on it? linking EA to Steam
EA is not linked to Steam. My EA account is not linked to any Steam account. But when I try to link EA to Steam, he tells me the opposite. They say It is impossible to connect accounts because the account is already connected to the Steam account. I need this in order to play BF2042, and the game is on Steam. Please help me, I don't know what to do anymore!EA AntiCheat detected corrupted game files
First i tried to verify the integrity of the files, 66 files were corrupted. Weird but that's not all. Steam cant repair the game files. Now the really frustrating part. i did exactly this. Program Files (86x) , steam , Steamapps , common , Battlefield 2042. I fully deleted the BF 2042 files. I had then re downloaded the whole game just for it to say it had corrupted game files. i am so lost, i tried making sure all my drivers were up to date and that no other game had corrupted files. Its just BF 2042 that i cannot play at all, i have tried fully deleting the game files and i still cant get the game to run. $60 down the drain.
BF 2042 cross play does not work
Xbox series x user with verified series x version of 2042 and a pc player cant play with cross play at all. Both users have cross play enabled. We cant find each other in the BF 2042 social tab, we can see similarly named players and from other platforms but not each other with out exact names. EA app does not show each other as well. I had my son invite me to a game from his xbox and when I try to launch it via notification from the xbox companion on my PC i get the below image... On PC I cant sent him "invite to game" only he can send them... The invite would be great except I own BF 2042 on steam and the MS store just shows the game greyed out... not allowing me to continue into the game. This is a pretty big deal breaker for BF6 if the current rev of the game doesn't support cross play. We downloaded this together thinking we could play together in hype for the new iteration... Appreciate any insight or suggestions, Thanks.
Game wont launch anymore (years later)
I just bought BF 2042 standard edition. I played years ago on ea subscription, i have 64h. Now the game wont launch, to be more specific on focus it crashes. I added the crash report. I tried: run as admin, clear cache, update driver, clean install driver, new account etc I need help!
Javelin anti cheat question
Hello! I havent launched 2042 in a long time and wanted to jump in after seeing bf6 footage. I just discovered that theres a new anti cheat and there seem to be lots of ppl having issues. I use cheat engine to run Spartan Mod for Ghost Recon Breakpoint along with mods and nexus's mod manager for many single player games. Will the new anti cheat do anything to my system if these apps are not running or when I run them while not in BF? Im just concerned having them may lead to issues, which my friend says it will, so I would like to be sure before reinstalling. Any help would be appreciated. PC (Steam), Ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060, 16gb ram, windows 11. Game crashes consistently on match start/loading screen with high cpu usage and freeze. I have already: Verfied files, updated/rolled back drivers (I have 200 hrs on the game so), reinstalled the game, tried clean boot + safe mode, disabled overlays, and used Windbg -> isGlimpseEnabled crash with INVALID_POINTER_WRITE error.

Please help, i try to log in change passwords and try to link, but i say I’m already linked but can not log in it to the game, please help i have so much progress on EA games, and the servers are running good i try to reset internet change internet clear cache’s reboot the game and nothing, afther the update on Battlefield 2042 on 31-07-2025 can not log in, please help…
Input bug?
So I went to go play after seeing the reveals of Battlefield 6 and I normally play KBAM in gunfights and Controller when piloting but for some reason my game thinks my controller is plugged in(Its not) and wont let me move my mouse to aim around. It just continuously drifts like a controller with stick drift is plugged in. ALSO, when i plug the controller in it doesn't even register and wont move anything. The ONLY fix is to go into settings and unbind every controller movement for On Foot and pilot settings. Ive tried to uninstall the game and reinstall(Did not work) and Deleted the BF2042 folder in documents(Did not work).

Has been banned for more than 3 years now
I've been through the same thing many players have experienced. I was playing BF2042 and I loves this game and suddenly the game crashed. It's not a problem because I just have to restart the game, but it's rare. I got to the splash screen and got a message that I couldn't connect to the servers. I'll wait until the next day because it must be a bug. I read about my situation and I can't even log in with my account because it's permanently banned! What have I done to make this happen, I simply still do not know. I only play on console and I have never experienced this anywhere else or in other games. The problem that I have had to live with for 3-4 years now. My Xbox account is linked to the banned account. So no matter how many new accounts I create, my Xbox is linked to the banned account. This means that I can never, ever play EA games. Okay, I can create a brand new Xbox account, but then I have to say goodbye to 23 years of gaming history. No, that's not going to happen. I've tried to send in my case a few times, but my cases are not being processed or I'm told how to connect an account. Now it's 3-4 years later can anyone help me? I consistently receive the following error code about five minutes into gameplay: 1:4688822970: -4685921B. I'm running a dual-boot system with Windows 10 (22H2) and Ubuntu. I've already tried switching DNS servers, reinstalling the anticheat software, reinstalling the game, enabled secure boot, and disabling background applications, but the issue persists. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
