RTG Screen lag/frame skipping/etc
Long story short, the game seems to run in slow motion on road to glory. It skips frames, lags, whatever you want to call it, but it only happens in game. I’ve tried all sorts of fixes, but it doesn’t go away, I’ve seen other people say it has something to do with what season you’re in, I’m in my third season and it’s painfully bad and makes the game very unenjoyable, I don’t need to see it in slow motion I want to play the game how it was the last two years. I’m on wired connection on exceptional network speed, it’s all the game. No other game seems to have this problem. Would love to know of any fixes or if anyone else has this problem. I love RTG it’s my favorite mode by far but it’s impossible to play with the screen constantly freezing and skipping frames, then going 2 frames per second.Constant Stuttering/Frame Skipping During Gameplay (PS5)
I’m having a frustrating frame-skipping/stuttering issue in College Football 27 on PS5. The issue only happens during actual gameplay. The menus are completely smooth, but during games I consistently get noticeable frame skipping/stuttering. I’ve already tried several troubleshooting steps, including rebuilding the PS5 database, disabling VRR, restoring licenses, and other standard troubleshooting. EA Support also had me delete my College Football 27 profile/settings data in case it was corrupted. The game automatically created a new profile afterward, but unfortunately the issue is still happening. I don’t believe this is a connection issue. My internet connection is around 800 Mbps, and I have no connection or performance issues with any other games. This issue is specific to College Football 27. The game is a digital copy, and this happens consistently during gameplay. I’ve also included a video showing the issue as an example. Has anyone else experienced this specific issue on PS5, where the menus are smooth but actual games have frame skipping? College Football 28 should prioritize making Road to Glory easier to see, control, understand, and shape as a player. Your highest-priority recommendations are: Cameras and controls: Position-specific camera options, adjustable views, full controller remapping, and fewer conflicting right-stick functions. Progression and customization: Clear explanations of player development, independent RTG sliders, and separate systems for football ability, reputation, and Coach Trust. Coaching and playing time: Understandable depth-chart decisions, meaningful position battles, and greater football responsibility as trust increases. Health and injuries: Distinguish temporary fatigue from injuries and lasting medical history, with clear recovery information. Career decisions: Explain draft evaluations and give meaningful information about playing time, scheme fit, and competition when transferring. Career memory: Preserve and reference awards, records, championships, transfers, and rivalry performances throughout the career.RTG needs auto-subs or sub request.
I like the idea of wear and tear. It makes the game realistic. Though it needs a bit of a rework. Season and career health bars are a bit broken. But if you're going to have this wear and tear system in the game you need a realistic threshold for your RTG player and the first string players to get subbed out of the game within a reasonable window. Why is my Heisman finalist QB still in the game against FCS Northwest up by 40 in the fourth quarter? And what's worse is that there's zero way to pull him from this game now. And now I have the choice of handing the ball off to my All-Conference running back and completely screwing up his wear and tear or pad stats with my QB which completely destroys the immersion. Allow us to set the threshold for when our starters get subbed out or give us the option to request to be subbed off like in EAFC career mode. Let us do this at any time in the game. Why do we have to wait in between quarters to hopefully be subbed out? Allow us to play one more series in the second half against teams in a blow out or not. Once we go up 42-0 midway through the second quarter on a lower conference opponent let us take ourselves out. This can't be that difficult, EA.RTG CRASH BUG
I am playing on ps5 and I have been playing as a cornerback and in my junior season the game keeps crashing. Everytime I load into the file for my cb build it crashes and says error ce-108255-1. I have even restarted twice before this and had the same problem but only on cornerback builds.Still No Hair out the Helmet in RTG!!!
EA, I don't understand this, man. We had hair out of the helmet for RTG years ago on NCAA 14 and before that. But now we still don't, with all these updates and stuff. Why is it so hard to add it to the game? My players had dreads, but what's the point if they don't stick out of the helmet like in real life?? I hope y'all add it in the next update or something. It just doesn't make sense for licensed players to have it but not for your RTG player.Draft Projection is Atrocious - needs to be fixed immediately
I have won 4 heismans and 4 national championships with a 94lvl player with a 99 cap broke ever record there is passing and rushing and still only projected top 10 . This is unacceptable and unrealistic I threw for over 127 touchdowns still not number 1 . Please fix this asap ea or I won't buy it next year.CFB28 RTG
Add Jewelry Accessories to Road to Glory 🔥💎 EA, the equipment customization in College Football 27 keeps getting better, but I think one major thing is missing: jewelry accessories. It would be 🔥 to customize our RTG players with things like: Chains/pendants ⛓️ Diamond necklaces 💎 Earrings Watches Bracelets Rings Grills Let us choose whether the jewelry is visible during games, pregame, celebrations, and cutscenes. Especially for RTG, being able to create your own player’s style is a huge part of the experience. Jewelry would make our players feel much more personalized and bring even more personality to the game. Please consider adding jewelry customization in a future update or CFB 28. 🏈🔥Are the Developers aware/care
EA_David EA_Kent I am genuinely curious if the developers are aware of the issues W&T has caused to the RTG community specifically the Career and Season components of it. If you look at forums from last year I don't think you will find a single post praising that feature yet instead of listening to the community it seems they punished us and made it a ridiculous XP penalty to not have it. I enjoyed it in cfb25, but was forced to turn it off in 26 and now in 27 I have no choice but to accept that I will only be able to play RTG for 2 seasons (unless ofc I want to play as a walking corpse or stay level 80 forever since they removed the XP sliders aswell). Would love just one response from the EA admin community to address this and let us know if it is being listened to at all or if we should just accept it will never be worked on.135901 error
Hello, I had an amazing season with high accomplishments but once I bet the number team I received an error message 135901. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps. However when I went to check if an old file would load it did. But when I went to check on the file that had all of my achievements the file was gone. From my understanding if you click on an old save file only that files is updated unless you manually select a different file to be overwritten. Is there a way to get my file back?Road to glory DB’s get stuck in the middle of plays
I play on Xbox series x I don’t know if other platforms are having the same issue but when playing road to glory as a DB especially safety my player constantly just gets stuck and won’t move at the snap of the ball some time it starts off letting me run and move den in the middle of the plate my player constantly just stops and won’t move anymore taking me out of the play some times it won’t let me move the player but he will back pedal or run out of bounds hisself it’s very annoying makes the game mode unplayable a game mode that already doesn’t have much to it no story or anything so the fact that it still has all these problems like this is extra frustrating it also does it in practices which is the most infuriating thing ever because you can be the highest rated 5star player coming out of high school and still be projected as a 3rd to 6th string player coming into college which means you going to spend your whole first year doing practices and simming games your not going to get any play time in and also half your 2nd year too and the only way to earn coach trust is to do well in practice because your not going to play so for the player getting stuck and not moving in practice is ridiculous you do bad in practice makes your journey to become a starter even longer please fix all these things expeditiously Otherwise the game is unplayableAuto subs are broken
I’m playing a realistic qb RTG. My starting rb will almost never finish a game or even play in the 2nd half because he gets all the carries until he gets subbed out for good for my backups. I’ve adjusted every auto sub setting I can to try to get a rotation of rbs but it won’t work. Should be a simple feature to get to work but it will not work and really ruins my game.RTG FS YEAR 2 BUG
Road to Glory Year 2 Free Safety crashes during Academic cutscene / RTG Hub — Xbox Series S Platform: Xbox Series S Game Mode: Road to Glory Position: Free Safety Year: Year 2 Issue: My Year 2 Free Safety Road to Glory save has become completely unplayable. When I load into my RTG save, the game takes me into an academic-related cutscene. After the cutscene, the game will eventually crash while sitting in the RTG Hub. The crash is completely repeatable. I cannot progress past this point. I have tested multiple actions after loading into the Hub, including: Waiting in the RTG Hub Advancing the week Entering Practice Using the Weekly Agenda Attempting to progress normally The game crashes regardless of which action I attempt. I have also experienced the game asking for a Live Content Update and requiring a restart. Troubleshooting already attempted: Fully quit College Football 27 Restarted the Xbox Series S Power-cycled the Xbox Cleared the game’s Reserved Space Relaunched the game Tried loading the RTG again None of these fixed the issue. The problem appears to be tied specifically to this Year 2 Free Safety RTG save and/or the academic event that loads immediately after entering the RTG Hub. Expected behavior: The academic event should complete and allow me to continue using the RTG Hub, practice, weekly agenda, and advance the week. Actual behavior: The game crashes repeatedly, making the Year 2 RTG save effectively unplayable. Please investigate whether this academic RTG event is causing a progression/save-state crash, and whether the affected RTG save can be repaired or advanced past the event without deleting the player.RTG Hair out of helmet .
Why is so hard to put current hairstyles in the game on RTG. We all want the opportunity to have players with long hair , that you can see coming out the back of helmet. I know it may not seem like a big deal to you, but as someone who enjoys RTG, I want players likeness to be as close as possible to what I see in the mirror. You have several players with hair coming out the back of helmets, along with many styles of hair, but as a RTG player, I’m not allowed those opinions 😩. Makes me not want to play RTG , and that’s my favorite part of the game. I know there are more players that feel like I do 🤬
RTG After Patch Issues
In my Junior season of RTG with my created team. The created Team Builder logo loads, but nothing else. All created color schemes, helmets, and jerseys are gone and do not load. When I could play games, it would load the stock EA jerseys and helmets in black and white, while the crowd still had my logos and signs with my created color scheme. School and team logos on the grass are gone. Logged in today and can no longer load games. The team matchup screen is now missing the character models. When I try to play, it soft-locks at the RTG logo flag loading screen. This all happened after I patched the game a few days ago. How exactly do I continue playing the game?
