New Uniforms Added in Road to the CFP as well
Every update usually brings new uniform combinations, and I really like having different uniform options in Road to the CFP. As a Georgia fan, though, I’d love to be able to use the all-white uniforms in the mode. I’m sure other users can relate too. It would be great if, whenever new uniform combinations are added to the game, they were also made available in Road to the CFP.TayBell14 hours agoNew Rookie5Views0likes0CommentsQuit glitch cheaters!
When I'm getting the best of players, suddenly the game disconnects and I get the loss. This always happens when I'm leading, or after a big play in my favor. And it's always Playstation players I'm playing against when this takes place. Anybody been dealing with this issue? This happens far too often and I'm getting losses that no way I would receive otherwise. These quit glitch cheaters have ruined my seasons and I get losses when I was winning and dominating. For context, I just lost my Heisman season because multiple people quit glitch cheated and I lost two games I was easily winning. I was beating a guy 31-6 and he threw his third pick, when the game suddenly disconnected and I get the loss. It's too obvious because I'm always leading when this happens and they know they have no chance. Please find a way to fix this, EA, as people get walloped, yet they get a win by quit glitch cheating. So unfair. Take a loss like a man.ubiquitousnobody16 hours agoRising Traveler4Views0likes0CommentsScreen Passes and Jumping WRs
Please two fixes are needed for college football. First, the receivers are jumping for no reason and then losing the ball. Second, onscreen passes. The tackle blocks the guy right into the screen pass. That’s not how it is run real football. The tackle goes out on the screen and let this guy through.Gradyxboss2 days agoNew Rookie5Views0likes0CommentsUnlocked Playbooks Keep Reverting to Default in Road to CFP
There is a serious playbook bug in Road to the College Football Playoff. I completed the objectives to unlock additional playbooks, and the game allows me to select the unlocked playbook in Advanced Settings before the game. However, once the actual online game starts, it automatically switches me back to my team’s default playbook. This defeats the entire purpose of unlocking playbooks. If I earn and unlock a playbook and select it before the game, that should be the playbook that loads when the game starts. I also don’t understand why Road to CFP restricts playbooks this heavily in the first place. Madden allows players to choose different playbooks, so why is College Football handled differently? Play calling and scheme are a major part of football strategy. I should be able to use the team I want while running the offensive or defensive system that fits my style. Please fix the bug where unlocked playbooks revert back to the default playbook, and please consider allowing players more freedom to choose their offensive and defensive playbooks in Road to CFP. Expected result: The unlocked playbook I select in Advanced Settings remains active when the game starts. Actual result: The game accepts my selection before the game but switches back to the team’s default playbook once the game begins. This is extremely frustrating, especially because you don’t find out it changed until you are already in a ranked online game.Tyvont32 days agoSeasoned Newcomer53Views1like3Comments4-2-5 Man Pressure Defensive Playbook Error
I wanted to use the 4-2-5 Man Pressure defense which is under both Oklahoma and Ohio St. I unlocked both of their playbooks and I still do not have the option for the 4-2-5 Man Pressure playbook on Road to the College Football Playoff. Is this being fixed or looked into?12Views0likes1CommentAdd Tennessee's Dark Mode & Smokey Gray uniforms to Road to the CFP 9/3
Tennessee needs the Dark Mode uniforms and upcoming Smokey Grays added to Road to the CFP. Other powerhouse programs like Oregon feature multiple uniform combinations available in competitive online modes. Tennessee deserves that same standard of authenticity and uniform variety in Road to the CFP. Suggested Fix: If uniform slot limits are an issue, the solution is simple: Replace the obsolete Orange Helmet option: Tennessee hasn't worn the orange helmet look with current jerseys since 2022. Swap in the Alternates: Use that slot to bring the Dark Mode threads into Road to the CFP, and integrate the Smokey Grays through standard updates. Fixing this gives fans the modern rotation actually worn on game days for online play. As of 9/3 these are still not usable in Road To The CFP.KnocksvilleTN4 days agoNew Veteran55Views0likes3CommentsOregon Gameplay Feels Artificially Boosted and Scripted
I primarily play Road to the College Football Playoff with Oklahoma, and there is a very noticeable problem every single time I play Oregon. This is not based on one bad game. It consistently happens specifically against Oregon, and the gameplay feels dramatically different from what I experience against other teams. The biggest issue is defensive back behavior. Oregon defenders routinely make plays that do not look physically or logically realistic. A defensive back can have his back completely turned to the quarterback, and the instant I press the button to throw, he somehow plants, spins around, accelerates toward the route, and makes a perfect play on the football. It feels like the defender is reacting to my controller input rather than seeing the quarterback or the football. Their closing speed is also ridiculous. A receiver can have legitimate separation, I make what should be the correct read, and suddenly a defender covers several yards almost instantly and jumps underneath the route. Players are spinning around, changing direction, and attacking passes with reaction times that simply do not resemble actual football. I understand interceptions when I make a bad read. If I throw directly into coverage, that’s on me. But there is a major difference between getting punished for a bad decision and having a defender who isn’t even looking at the quarterback instantly know when and where the ball was thrown. I have now thrown five interceptions in this game, and several of them have come from exactly this kind of behavior. There also seems to be a larger ratings/talent-balancing issue with Oregon. Their roster strengths feel exaggerated to the point that ratings appear to override positioning, leverage, separation, and actual football decisions. I’m not saying Oklahoma should automatically beat Oregon. I’m not asking for Oklahoma to be artificially boosted either. I want ratings to matter while still producing believable football. Oregon is obviously supposed to be a talented team, but talented players should still obey the same basic rules of movement, vision, momentum, reaction time, and positioning as everyone else. Right now, playing Oregon in Road to CFP often feels less like playing against a highly rated football team and more like playing against an AI that has been given artificial reaction speed and awareness. Please specifically review Oregon in Road to CFP for: Defensive back reaction time and awareness Defenders reacting to passes without seeing the quarterback or ball Unrealistic closing speed Instant direction changes and route undercuts Interception frequency How player ratings affect physical movement and reactions Whether Oregon receives any unusually aggressive CPU/AI tuning in this mode Difficulty should come from playing against better football players and making better decisions and not from defenders appearing to know what button the user pressed before the football is even released.Tdome19d6 days agoSeasoned Newcomer19Views2likes0CommentsI just get very annoyed playing against Oregon and Ohio State
In Road the CFP, it would be so awesome to have a feature where you can pick a couple teams you DON’T want to play against. I think a max of two teams you don't want to play would be perfect. I main Oklahoma, so yes, it's not abnormal for me to only play tier ones, and I don't mind that; I just get very annoyed with literally only playing against Oregon and Ohio State. Post your highlights here
I hope that we can post more than just gripes about the game in these threads. I think the EA forum is the most professional of all the forums out there and it would be great if we could have more discussions and sharing. I'll start by posting three highlights from the last weekend. First one. This run was amazing. No one touched my HB. Even though he was in a pile, and he kept going. Awesome run for TD (18 sec.) I lost this game, but I thought I had it. Unfortunately, I just got a bad animation. Maybe I needed to pass lead better? Still working on that. Tough loss on last play of the game (8 sec.) This one. I admit I should have lost and I did. But wow, I thought I had it. Unbelievable ending, almost won, but lost on last play (29 sec.)UNK_User_9918 days agoSeasoned Adventurer55Views0likes4CommentsMatch making is terrible

I am 0-4 because i cant complete a single game because either it starts off lagging or coming in the second quarter i start the lagging. at first i thought it was my wifi but i play any other games and have no problem at all. and its only on road to college to college football. it starts by not letting me pick a play, i get delay of games because i cant do anything. i tried deleting it and re downloading it but it still happens. i even deleted every game on my ps5 thinking it was a space or storage issue. but nothing.10Views0likes0CommentsRoad to CFP is truly a grind lacking fun
Whelp... You would think that playing your first Road to CFP National Championship Game EA would at least make that matchup fair.....🤣 Who am I kidding....they don't want people winning and having fun in this game. Its about the grind. Played my first Natty game here's how it went. Played a Texas user that already had won a Natty Down 28-7 in the 2nd quarter. Dude was clearly way better then me. With 2 pick 6's. One was a tip rebound pick 6. I had a receiver open for a touchdown on a in route...I tap throw it and instead of RAC catching the animation did this dive catch(the play after was the second pick 6) Matchmaking took almost 2 mins to "match" me with someone. What does this tell me.... Road to CFP matchmaking seem to be fix. EA continues to stack the CFP with the top Tier 1 teams and no one else. The 2 mins waiting for matchmaking clearly shows me (just like in 26) available matches are being filtered out so that the CFP feels hard and stacked with the top teams in the game. I am clearly not good enough to compete for Nattys (even on Freshman). The joy of 25 is long gone, 26 was meh and 27 is hard as hell to win a Natty. Well done EA! EA_Shepard This is just an honest opinion of the state of this mode so far....its hard, brutally hard.xMase412x21 days agoRising Hotshot102Views0likes10CommentsFix this
I am playing online. Winning 35-34. With one second left, my opponent paused the game, told me “you won’t get this win” then did something to trigger a “network connection loss” for me. It returned me to the main menu immediately and it gave me the loss. On the matchup history it still shows the score 35-34, but gave me the loss.45Views1like2CommentsRoad to CFP Needs a Skill-Based Ranking System — Not a Volume-Based Leaderboard
I enjoy Road to the CFP, but the ranking and team-tier systems need a major rethink if this is supposed to be a competitive online mode. Right now, the leaderboard rewards volume far more than actual performance. Many of the players near the top have played hundreds of games, while players with much better winning percentages and championship results can be ranked thousands of spots below them simply because they haven't played nearly as much. Team tiers also need to matter much more There is currently very little incentive to use lower-tier programs. If I beat someone using a powerhouse with a significantly weaker school, the difference in season-ranking points may only be one or two points compared with winning with an elite team. That doesn't come close to reflecting the difference in difficulty. Why should I take West Virginia into a game against Oregon, Alabama, Ohio State, etc. if an upset is barely worth more than winning the same game with another powerhouse? A proper competitive system should weight every result based on several factors: Opponent skill/rating Your team tier Opponent's team tier Home vs. away Win/loss Championship and playoff performance Beating an elite player with a weaker team on the road should be worth substantially more than beating an average player with one of the best teams in the game. Likewise, losing a close game with a Tier 5 school to an elite player using a Tier 1 team should not hurt your rating the same way as losing an evenly matched game. Separate skill rating from progression If EA wants to reward people for playing a lot, that's completely fine — but make that a separate season/progression score. The actual competitive leaderboard should use something closer to an Elo/MMR system where rating changes primarily reflect: Who did you play? What teams were being used? Where was the game played? And did you win? Volume should help establish confidence in someone's rating, not become the primary route to climbing the leaderboard. We also need more transparency While I disagree, I understand the thought to not display an opponent's rank before kickoff if the concern is people quitting or dodging highly ranked players...but it takes some steam out of the game and if match making is good, this shouldn't be an issue, and quitting should be negatively enforced anyway. But there is absolutely no reason not to show someone's rank after the game. After a game, we should be able to see: Opponent's overall rank Record Championships Team most commonly used Recent results How many ranking points we gained/lost and why We should also be able to view recent opponents and look at their profiles. Right now you can play an incredible game against someone, finish it, and have virtually no way to know how good that opponent actually was unless they're Top 100 or already on your friends list. Road to CFP should distinguish between: Skill: How difficult are you to beat? and Activity: How much have you played? Right now those two things seem far too intertwined. Give us a ranking system that rewards performance, difficulty, and accomplishment — not primarily games played.BenFoldsLaundry21 days agoSeasoned Traveler54Views3likes5CommentsUnlocking PB requirements
Some of the requirements needed to unlock teams play books is almost impossible. You need 35 wins to unlock Michigan State’s playbook which is the same amount of wins you need to unlock Texas playbook then Ohio State you need 50 wins these win totals need to be updated.Bearded_Whun21 days agoRising Newcomer14Views0likes0CommentsMy NCAA 27 Road TO CFP Rankings Not Updating
