[The Sims 4] Crinrict and EA Forums need more help (suggestions)
Original Post, copy/pasted here based on Crinrict's suggestion. I would like to suggest adding The Sims 4 DLC/Event tag buttons to the bottom of all reports & forms. There are already existing tag buttons for PC/Xbox/PS, UI, Gameplay, Error Code, etc... so adding a separate section for The Sims 4 DLC/Event tags would remove a lot of the daily hassle for everyone. Saves fans from having to learn the new pack tags, saves Crinrict's fingers/brain from turning to mush 💚 Also, maybe consider developing a Python program to help with the workload on the Sims 4 Bug and Feedback Forums. There's an astronomical amount of work here for Crinrict to have to manually do voluntarily (without pay). Plus, "...statuses here aren't always up-to-date...", so they don't provide an accurate representation of the team's efforts to The Sims 4 community and fans. This is not good optics 💔 Forums need to be up-to-date and must be an accurate representation of the team's efforts. Maybe a Python program (or AI) could help the forums function more efficiently; help the team get caught up on bugs sooner, waste fewer resources, and volunteers/employees could focus on more important matters. Small Forum Feedback
1. Date Display Style does not make different when you go to My Setting-->Preferences then you will see Date Display Style. I have try them both Relative and Absolute and did not see the different on my Profile. Can you look into it? 2. like the EA Forum Website but like to see more improvement. like EA forum Profile background change to black or cool BF4 background. Right now it just White background. So maybe add option to change it to different background? 3. Avatar on choose From Gallery🖼️ can you please look into add Star Wars again to the Gallery? Addition of World Tag for The Sims 4 Bug Reports
Hello! I think a World tag is missing from the available tags. For example I was just making a bug report about a world VFX which doesn't really fit any of the categories. I also know of a friend who made a report about sims going through the terrain in Innisgreen, which is also world related. It would of course be a somewhat more obscure tag, but worlds are their own thing both in game and file wise. Maybe it goes under something else internally I don't know about, but I think the addition of a World is needed.

So I'm in a Sims forum that has many, many repeat posters and sharers of their builds and designs however my latest one says I've reached the maximum number of posts??? There's people who post on every single thread, they've certainly posted more than me so I doubt there's and actual limit to this? Any help?

I would like to express my complete ignorance side for a hot min.... WHY CANT I REPLY TO POSTS WITH IMAGES? when replying asking for a image to help show what i was experiencing in a game, IT TOOK 4 HOURS for me to successfully respond, i used a imgur link and that wouldnt reply, i tried to shorten the URL that wouldnt allow it to reply... i ended up saying "will this reply work" when it sent i was able to edit and update with what i was originally trying to send, the old forums was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better with image handling it should not of taken 4 hours to allow me to send a reply with a imgur link my suggestion to improve this, whitelist imgur links? or dont auto convert links to images?
Heat based filtering.
Hi. I'm missing the threaded hierarchy of answers HQ, filtering by "newest" feels floaty and I don't care for it. It also makes finding threads more difficult as the technical posting is now mixed with the social posting. Will it be possible to view threads in the old way in future? Or is this the permanent default?

Your EA Forums Team My account profile says I joined 3 hours ago at the time of this post. I haven't created this account myself because my name cmkrc3vtvm86 is so random. I play swogh and have created one ea forums acoount before using the same email this account uses but It cannot be this because I created that multiple years ago. I have also used the swogh online shop which requires email to log in. Any idea how did this happen?
I like the page view for boards!
I’ve been quite negative about various aspects of the forum design so far, but I just wanted to provide some positive feedback and say that I really like the page view for boards, where you click on the bolded number of posts at the top of the board! It’s so much less cluttered, and you can see many more discussions at once by scrolling down the page. And then more discussions by clicking on the next page. I think it would be a great improvement if this page view could be set to be the default for each board. And also if each thread could be displayed in the same way. Might that be possible one day (soon)?
Sorting by newest doesn't work in some discussions
Trying to sort Favorite Screenshot (2.0) discussion to newest causes the page to reload and show most liked. Even picking sort by oldest, causes it to show most liked. For me, it's one of the few discussions where that happens. Other discussion work fine and even checking it on mobile it has the same issue.
Progress?
I feel at this point that we've made out views pretty clear. The new forums have a number of serious issues - no avatars, no page numbers, no subforums, bad sorting, unstable logins, getting rerouted, long load times, etc. At this point, new feedback is just repeating the old. What I think we all want now is to hear from folks running this show. So, I'll ask the impertinent question... because it's what I do. What progress is being made to address the issues?
RSS Feed and Consistent Order
It would be nice if an RSS feed were available for the new SWGOH Game Info Hub. In the old forum I used this to send new posts to a Discord webhook. In the new forum, however, this is currently not available and a consistent parsing of the page is not really practicable, since the order of the "all-posts" view is completely confused by the migration. Posts from 15 hours ago that were originally posted in March are displayed there. So please give us back the RSS feed.
Not a Fan Infinite Scrolling for These Threads
I'm not a fan of infinite scroll on this forum. I would love to see pagination instead. Example... I am looking at the Build 'n Share thread. It has 10,955 replies atm. If I go to the first page (which is updated monthly with the current challenge), I have 'bit at a time load more' when I get to the bottom of the page: Build-n-Share Challenge #182 **Jack Frost Comes Knocking** Due February 29, 2024 | EA Forums - 1866721 Even if I sort by 'Newest', it goes to an infinite scroll of semi-recent replies and I nearly go into a coma by the time I get to the newest... if I had taken time to arrive there, actually. It's very, very overwhelming. Very. On the old forum this is not a big deal... I can go the latest post via clicking on the right end of the pagination at the bottom of any page. By the way... The new forum looks nice and I love many aspects of it 🤗!
