Forum paging is painfully antiquated
Howdy Folks, one of the things anyone who uses the forums is well aware of is the pain point that topics with a large number of pages brings. The "Show More" works if you only have a handful of pages to go through. but on topics with a larger number of posts it is completely inadequate and at a certain point many peoples posts might as well not even exists as most people will probably give up clicking on the "Show More" ad nauseam such as when I get a notification of a new post in the following topic Orange Dot Notifications Will Not Clear | EA Forums - 13196010 last night I gave up after click "Show More" 48 times and I was still in posts 3 months old. The paging this forums uses just does not scale well at all and could use a serious upgrade such as in the following image
Bug: New Report Doesn’t Always Clear Old Report
It seems that when making a new bug report it doesn’t always clear the old bug report. I have to manually scroll down to the place where it has Cancel (Publish is right below it) and click there. Only noticed in the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes Bug Reports Forum, but that’s the only one I use. There may be a connection to a new tab? I had it occur when I was using a new tab and had been logged out (which BTW, it would be REALLY nice to not be logged out so frequently) iPhone 16 Safari running iOS 26.5Filter/Sort is Lacking
The filter and sort functions are really lacking. In the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes Bug Reports I can’t seem to filter by post time on iOS. And, the scroll doesn’t seem to work (it’s a horizontal scroll within the filter and sort) if you need proofs I can provide. iPhone 16 Safari running iOS 26.5
Forums "The Appropriate Channels" Error Loop
I'd like to start by I have tried "the appropriate channels" advised by forum moderators. I have found out they do not exist, you link us to a non-start ticket/live chat. It is basically an error loop. If I contact live chat, they tell me they do not do anything to with the forums, when it was "escalated" then case was just auto "closed". I'd tell you the situation but literally the post will be deleted. So if a moderator could PM me that be great.
Please review legitimate Sims 4 bug report incorrectly marked as spam
Hello, I submitted a legitimate The Sims 4 bug report, but it was immediately marked as spam by the automated filter. The post documents a severe FPS regression after update 1.125.59.1030 and includes clean-folder testing, reproduction steps, DxDiag, Config.log, and screenshots. Could a Community Manager please review and restore the post? Like really people of EA you have implemented so many automated systems here that deal with: spamming removing links where people nicks are present in the game footage censoring certain posters of the forums banning people for discussing moderation etc. Yet time and time again I open the forums to see 5-10 posts about someone crying about being falsely banned and in many cases not in English which is official / only language of the forums. Can you please auto-remove / mark as spam such posts to actually not move posts that matter down the line in "most recent" filter? Please do enforce rules you already made yourself including language and discussing bans here instead of official appeal. Thanks!
New Forum Format?
Is it just me or does this particular subforum have a new format? all posts are scrollable in a line on the left side, with Users listed on the right? I hope it's a glitch because the new format is terrible! I can't easily browse through headlines of posts to read what I want, now I have to scroll and scroll ala Facebook or Discord. I really hate it - that's my feedback!
Will the link from a notification to the thread ever be fixed?
Hello EA and hello folks. I wonder why it still is a thing, that we cannot be linked to the exact last entry, be it a comment or a like that shows up in our notification. I mean i get a notification that someone has commented in a thread that I follow. When I click on that notification, I will not be redirected to the specific comment or the corresponding like, no. I will be redirected to the top of the thread or anywhere in between. This may not be a big deal if the thread has only two or three posts. But in a thread with a few dozen posts, that is annoying. You also cannot simply expand the whole thread, you have to expand it portion for portion. I already gave up following larger threads, which is pretty bad, because they are interesting. But I just don't want to play hide and seek with the comments. So my question to the EA team is, if this will ever be fixed. There are other threads in the forum regarding this. It would greatly enhance the user experience in this forum, which by the way has great content.Suspecting People Creating Accounts to Be Rude or Praise Their Own Posts
I swear, only because, I have seen multiple instances where new accounts where there is like 1-3 posts like within the same 1-3 hours (then seemingly no more) seem to be made to be rude to other posters or praise their own posts/ideas (made within that same 1-3 hours). Is this consider rule breaking? Can posts with what seems like a create to be rude post then activity stops, could have the rude posts deleted (if if not complete hate rude)? I do not want to post the examples here as there may be possible innocents, but I am highly skeptical all are innocent. But I noticed toxicity towards other users increasing, and reporting seems to not be helping. I'd like to keep this community healthy and happy. If a Moderator could PM for actual details—if they wish to investigate.Feedback on Forum Functionality (When it is Non-Functioning)
Catching up with responses as a 13+ years on the forums vet, should not lock me out of replying after 6 replies within an hour (my notifications easily can be over a dozen when I sign in the morning). I would think at this stage verified users should not be locked out for high activity (especially when that is their usual activity). I even am locked out of posting this post, I am waiting for it to allow me to Publish... I also noticed more issues this year compared to past years, that html gets flagged (won't post with html errors despite past/previous posts/edits allowing it), even if implemented with the in forum editor's html/markup (and not a copy paste issue), error or updating tables/lists/posts, it just locks out future edits to the table/list/post. I also see that others have been posting about this issue, so I didn't make a stand alone post about it (just thought I'd include it in this one), but I want to mention that notices/errors are so frequent it really makes the forums not very user friendly. Especially, to those who can have high daily activity.
