EA support changed my username/EA ID and now doesn't want to change it back.
Approximately a week ago I got hit with a hacking attempt. They managed to get into my EA account but luckily I was able to change my password quick enough that they couldn't do much. The one thing they managed to do before I was able to log them off was change my email address to theirs so they could get back in if needed I guess. Obviously this was a security issue; I wanted to change that email address to one of mine again but couldn't do so because I "recently changed my email address". So I had to contact support to have that done. They were happy enough to help me with that, but in doing so this support staff member also changed my username/EA ID, for no good reason, and I also did not request that. I asked about that in the chat while I was still live with them and they said: "Don't worry you can change that back yourself when we're done.". I went and tried to change it back to what I had after we finished up our conversation and the email address issue was resolved. However, I was met with "EA ID is already in use". Yeah no **bleep**, that's my username/EA ID and I understand that it might take a little bit to become available again. It was late so I decided to try again the next morning, to no avail. I contacted support again to ask them to change my username/EA ID back to what it was and all I'm getting this time is: "We cannot do that we don't have the tools."... What do you mean you don't have the tools? EA support changed it before and I want it back to what it was, that doesn't seem to be an unreasonable request to me. At some point during the conversation with that support staff member he told me he talked to somebody that would release my username/EA ID so I could change it back to what it was and told me to wait a couple of hours for that to get done. I was happy that they were able to come up with a solution and thanked the support staff member. I tried last night again after waiting more than 4 hours. No luck. Again, I understand it might take some time so I tried to change it again this morning after almost 24 hours and I still can't get it back. In fact, all reasonable variations of my previous EA ID also are unavailable. So I contacted EA Support again and they basically just said, you're **bleep** out of Luck, "We don't have the tools to change your username/EA ID", get **bleep**... I asked for it to be escalated to a superior and they told me they couldn't do that and everyone I would talk to would have the same tools available. I then offered that a superior that could help me could contact me on my email address in my profile but they just closed the chat saying: "Since I have provided you all the necessary guidance, steps and needed information to move forward with your concern, I'll go ahead and end this chat. Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with EA Help." Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.rustymorpheus10 hours agoRising Newcomer8Views0likes0CommentsPlaying against the clock in one-on-one matches!!
I am fed up with cheaters who think they are clever by wasting time in one-on-one matches. I do not want players who simply pass the ball around to run out the clock after scoring a goal; otherwise, I will be forced to disband my 100-player league. I have been playing this game professionally since 2017; please find a solution to this problem.R10ERKAN1011 hours agoRising Newcomer8Views0likes0Comments- 2Views0likes0Comments
Ip ban on syria
Dear EA Support Team, I am writing to urgently request the removal of the sanctions imposed on Syria. As you are aware, these sanctions have been officially lifted, and I kindly ask for your swift support in ensuring my account is no longer restricted. Please follow the latest news from the United States regarding the full removal of sanctions on Syria. Many companies have already lifted these restrictions, and many games. We hope that you will do the same as soon as possible so that we can play FC 27 with everyone, and secure our rights just like others do and thanks for your help .62Views0likes0CommentsBRING BACK SOME OLD GAMES
Please bring back DINOS HUNTER DEADLY SHORES I’m a longtime fan of Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores, and I’d really love to see the original game come back. The game had something special that I don’t think many modern mobile games have. The dinosaur hunting, weapons, environments, progression, and overall atmosphere made it really memorable. I know the game was discontinued, but I wanted to ask: would you ever consider reviving or remastering Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores for modern iOS and Android devices? Even bringing back the original game and other games like DEER HUNTER CLASSIC AND DEER HUNTER 2018 with updated compatibility and servers would make many longtime fans extremely happy. Please consider bringing Dino Hunter back. 🦖❤️ Thank you! A Dino Hunter fan8gmj3e7rja1s1 day agoNewcomer7Views0likes0CommentsSyria IP Ban
Hello, following the recent updates on US sanctions regarding Syria, many tech services are being restored. We, the Syrian gaming community, request EA to update its geo-blocking policies so we can access our EA accounts and play online without VPNs. Please escalate this to the relevant department."qucee32 days agoRising Newcomer22Views0likes0CommentsCase #254056205 Stuck on "Waiting on Player" Loop / Unable to Submit Appeal
Hello, I am experiencing a persistent glitch on the EA Help portal. My ongoing support case (Case #254056205) is currently stuck on the "Waiting on Player" status. The portal is not giving me any text box, form, or functional button to "Resume" or reply to the case. Furthermore, if I try to submit a new ticket or an appeal, the site enters a redirect loop and completely blocks me from submitting any new forms. Because the website interface is broken, I am completely locked out of communicating with support. Could an EA Community Manager please look into this and manually flag my account or push my case to the Terms of Service team? Hi EA, BigBoy here. I would really love to see more of the old-school console games come back so we can enjoy them again on modern platforms. I’m talking about classic games and franchises we grew up with, like Mario, older Need for Speed games, Burnout, SSX, Medal of Honor, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and many others. There are so many brilliant older games that people would love to experience again, especially if they could be made available on modern consoles or through services like EA Play. I know games like Mario belong to Nintendo, but it would be great to see more classic games from the past becoming accessible again instead of disappearing with older consoles. What classic game would everyone like to see make a comeback?BigBoy777jjs5 days agoSeasoned Vanguard7Views0likes0CommentsRugby game idea
I’m a big fan of your sports games, especially Madden and College Football. I really enjoy how realistic and high-quality your sports games are. I would love to see EA make a proper rugby game. Rugby is a huge sport in countries like South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, England, France and many more, but there isn’t currently a rugby game with the same level of quality, realism and features as Madden or College Football. A next-generation EA Rugby game could have realistic gameplay, career mode, online multiplayer, Ultimate Team, licensed teams and competitions, realistic stadiums, player customization, and regular updates. I think EA could make the best rugby game ever if you gave rugby the same attention you give your other major sports. Please consider making an EA Rugby game! 🏉 Thanks!9Views0likes0CommentsCouldn't submit another appeal, BF6 account get banned for no reason
I am reaching out to see if a Community Manager can help escalate an issue I am experiencing with a permanent ban on Battlefield 6 (PC/Steam). My penalty history page states that the action was taken for "Gameplay enhancement." However, I have never used unauthorized third-party software, cheats, or performance-altering modifications. I strongly believe this is a false positive—potentially triggered by an overlay, hardware software, or a background app conflict on my PC. My previous case (#253236879) was closed on August 31, 2026. I am trying to submit a follow-up appeal to have a specialist manually review my case history, but the standard "Appeal" button is missing or broken on my EA Penalty History dashboard, preventing me from opening a new dispute. Since my account is currently showing a pending state but the system won't let me submit a new statement or context, could a community manager please help pass my details or Case #253236879 along to a specialist on the Terms of Service team for a secondary manual review? Thank you for your time and help with this,6Views0likes0CommentsThis game studio is a joke
ive been banned today off apex legends for "Game Enhancement", Ive appealed, and gotten the same slop response word for word. its honestly a joke, EA banning innocent players for using ALLOWED launch commands, and they let cheaters, xims, strikepacks and titans run free, the last 20 matches ive played have had cheaters in them, its a joke, if someone from this god **bleep** game studio had the decency to explain to me what ive actually done wrong, it would be appreciated, AND NO. I AM NOT GOING TO APPEAL AGAIN. SO DO NOT LINK IT.10Views0likes0CommentsPlease add Japanese character support to EA IDs
Hello, I would like to suggest adding support for Japanese characters, including Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji, to EA IDs. I am known online as “Misty”, but on Discord and other places I use the Katakana version of my nickname: ミスティ. I would really like to use ミスティ as my EA ID as well, especially because I mainly play Battlefield and I would like to have the same online identity across the platforms I use. I tried entering ミスティ in the EA ID settings, but the system immediately displays an “Enter a valid EA ID” error. I understand that EA IDs need restrictions for security and moderation purposes, but would it be possible to support Japanese Unicode characters while still applying the existing name filters? EA has players from all around the world, so I think support for additional writing systems would be a useful improvement for many players, not just me. I would appreciate it if this feedback could be passed to the team responsible for the EA Account and EA ID system. Thank you!7Views0likes0CommentsThere is still no hope.
Dear Community Manager, , If I could create a case—even just successfully submit a complaint—I wouldn’t be posting this on the EA forums. I sincerely believe that the current speech rules are unreasonable. After all, Battlefield is a war game, and players inevitably vent frustrations about certain game mechanics. Meanwhile, some people with ulterior motives specifically use Battlefield 6’s report system to report players’ improper speech. These notifications usually take a few days to reach players, and before that, players get no warning. If during this period a player spends money on in-game currency but hasn’t yet used it to buy items, and then suddenly receives a notification from EA stating that their account is suspended or permanently banned for violating in-game rules, what do you think the player will feel? I don’t think this would happen in Battlefield 4 or 2042 (referring to speech rules). I believe that many loyal Battlefield players’ accounts wouldn’t survive the entire lifecycle of Battlefield 6 due to your strict punishment rules. You could easily implement a mute system or a warning/recovery mechanism for caution. As a player, I sincerely hope this IP continues, since in my view no large-scale war game currently matches Battlefield (though I don’t understand why so few people play it). But as a consumer, when I buy in-game currency and haven’t used it yet, and you tell me, ‘You lost access because of our rules,’ I have to ask: what about my money? You can see how frustrated I am with the language, and I really don’t want players’ accounts of many years to be banned just because of strict speech rules. I hope you can lift the permanent ban on my previous account; I really don’t know what to do :( If possible, I also hope you could merge the data from this account with my previous account and refund the duplicated purchases in the form of Battlefield 6 in-game currency. If that’s not possible, I request a refund of half of all the funds spent on my previous account 6 (though I’d rather not). Finally, I wish EA continued success and hope you are safe and happy! Dear EA Management or Policy Team, I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out from Syria as a dedicated EA enthusiast and a proud owner of FC 26. While I’ve always admired your games, I’m writing to respectfully point out that the rationale behind the regional restrictions on Syrian players may no longer apply. As of August 2026, the U.S. government has officially removed Syria from its restricted list. U.S. financial institutions are now permitted to service Syrian clients, process payments, and establish banking relationships. Additionally, most broad sanctions have been dismantled, and Syria is actively reconnecting with the global financial and economic systems. Visa has also successfully tested a live international card transaction in Damascus this week, something that was impossible just months ago. This demonstrates the significant changes taking place in Syria’s integration with the international financial system. Given these developments, I respectfully ask: why are EA’s restrictions on Syrian players still in place? I understand that EA previously followed U.S. sanctions policies, but those restrictions have now been lifted. I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m simply asking EA to update its policies to reflect the current reality. Syrian gamers have supported EA through the years, and all we want is the chance to enjoy your games like everyone else. We are tired of being excluded because of circumstances that may no longer exist. I kindly request that you forward this message to the appropriate decision makers and review EA’s access policies for Syria. If the legal and financial barriers have been removed, I respectfully ask EA to review whether its own restrictions can now be removed as well. Thank you for your time and understanding. Sincerely, A Loyal EA Player from Syriahallak0814 days agoSeasoned Newcomer56Views2likes0CommentsCompanion app lacks proper development process
Every year, the same app, the same issues, just with a new branding. And I’m tired of it. It’s not just because I’m UI designer myself, but there seems to be no priority or interest from EA to improve the app (or the transfer market in the game). Do your job, EA. You’re supposed to keep improving your products, even the free services that come with it. You’re being lazy cheapskates, and people don’t like that. Stop hiding behind your monopolistic position, hire a team of designers dedicated to companion apps, and in-game features, instead of wasting your time making the game worse with open world modes.2late4action14 days agoSeasoned Novice10Views0likes0CommentsEA Account Recovery Is Completely Borked.
I cannot believe this is a real account recovery process in 2026 because apparently the way EA has decided to verify that you own an account is to ask you trivia about your own life from 10 or 15 years ago and then refuse to tell you what the questions actually mean, refuse to tell you which answer was wrong, refuse to let you correct yourself, refuse to escalate you to anyone who can look at actual evidence, and then tell you to come back and do the exact same thing again. I can prove I own the Xbox account. I am literally logged into the Xbox account. I can show you the gamertag. I can show you purchases. I can show you Madden purchases. I can show you EA Play charges. I can give you my date of birth, old addresses, old phone numbers, old email addresses, current email addresses, payment information, screenshots, invoices, whatever you want. But none of that apparently matters as much as whether I can correctly remember which email address I may have used to create an EA account during the Obama administration. And the best part is they only accept your FIRST answer. So they ask, what card was associated with the account? Well, I have had approximately nine billion debit cards in my adult life because banks replace them, cards expire, PayPal changes things, accounts change, people move, life happens. So I say one card number and then literally two minutes later I find the actual Microsoft purchase and go, wait, no, this Madden purchase was on this other card. Too late! FIRST ANSWER COUNTS. Okay. Cool. Great system. What billing address? Which one? I have lived in Massachusetts. I lived in Chicago. The account is ancient. Are you asking for the address when I created the account? The most recent address? The address associated with the last EA purchase? The address associated with Xbox? The address associated with the card? They will not tell you. Not because they don't know. Because apparently defining the question itself is now a security risk. What email did you create the account with? Buddy, I have emails that no longer EXIST. AIM doesn't exist. My college email doesn't exist. I have had Hotmail addresses. I have had work addresses. I have had Gmail. I have had email accounts that disappeared into the void along with MySpace bulletins and LimeWire. What month and year did you last log into your EA account? Are you **bleep** kidding me? Who knows that? Do YOU know what month and year you last logged into some random account six years ago? I don't remember what I ate for lunch three Tuesdays ago, but apparently somewhere deep in my hippocampus I am expected to preserve the sacred knowledge that I logged into Origin in October 2017. And if I get it wrong? They won't tell me. They just say, "We were unable to verify your account." Okay. Which piece didn't match? Can't tell you. Can you tell me if you want current information or historical information? Can't tell you. Can I provide more documentation? No. Can I show you my Xbox account? Doesn't matter. Can Microsoft verify I own the gamertag? Doesn't matter. Can you unlink the gamertag so I can connect it to an EA account I actually control? No. Can you escalate me to someone who can? No. So what CAN I do? Try again. Try again with WHAT? The same questions. And should I answer them differently? We can't tell you. Do you understand how completely insane that is? This is not account recovery. This is a **bleep** escape room designed by somebody who hates you. And before I even got to this ridiculous manual verification process, I spent multiple chats being told there WAS NO manual verification process. I was told my only option was a console recovery prompt. The console recovery prompt does not appear. I restarted the Xbox. I launched Apex Legends. I launched Madden. I downloaded the EA app. Nothing. And EA's answer was essentially: well, try the prompt again later. So I asked, what if the prompt never appears? Try again. Can someone manually verify me? No. Can you escalate? No. Am I just permanently locked out? Sorry for the inconvenience. Then I finally get a different agent who says, oh sure, we can manually verify you. OH. COOL. SO THAT THING I HAVE BEEN BEGGING FOR ACTUALLY EXISTS. And then the manual verification turns out to be a pop quiz about my financial and internet history stretching back potentially 15 years. This whole thing started because I bought Madden 27. I bought your game. I am trying to give EA money. I own the Xbox. I own the gamertag. I own the Madden purchase. I can prove all of these things happening RIGHT NOW. And somehow EA has built a system where all of that can be outweighed by the possibility that I don't remember what debit card I had when Mitt Romney was running for president. And the thing that makes me the craziest is that I completely understand why account security exists. I WANT account security. I don't want some random person contacting EA and stealing my account. But account security is supposed to distinguish the owner from an attacker. It is not supposed to distinguish the owner from his own **bleep** account. At some point there has to be a human process where somebody looks at the totality of the evidence and says, okay, this person controls the Microsoft account, has the linked gamertag, has the purchase history, has historical billing information, knows old addresses and phone numbers, has proof of purchase, and has been trying to solve this for days. Instead the system apparently goes: Did he remember the correct mystery email from 2011? No? TOO BAD PAL. And then the gamertag stays attached forever. You can't unlink it. You can't move it. You can't prove ownership another way. You can't escalate it. You can't even get told what category of information failed. Just try again. This isn't security. This is bureaucracy with a CAPTCHA.notmeekin27 days agoSeasoned Newcomer17Views0likes0CommentsEA Security Newsletter Directory
