EA app won't let me add a game to my library and download it.
Hi, I recently purchased Game Pass and tried to download Madden NFL 25, but ran into a strange issue. When I attempt to add the game to my library, I receive the following error: "There's a problem with your download Something went wrong during your download. Give us a few minutes, then try again." Then, when I try to download it, I get this message instead: "You don't have access We've canceled the download because you don't own this game. To play, go to the Game Hub to get the game." What’s strange is that this issue only occurs with Madden NFL 25. I was able to download F1 24, FC 25, and Madden 24 without any problems. The workarounds I tried: Reconnecting my EA and Microsoft accounts, deleting cache files, recovery on EA app, running the EA app as administrator. I’m trying to figure out whether this is a temporary issue affecting everyone, or if there’s a problem specific to my account. When I change my game's language, EP 19 (Enchanted by Nature) doesn't switch to the language I switched. I'm still experiencing bugs that existed before this patch. I've tried refreshing the EA app and going in-game to check for new content via Sims Delivery but it says I'm up to date. I usually have automatic updates on. I've been waiting for weeks to play with the Enchanted by Nature expansion and finally got some time to sit down and play today, only to be disappointed. When I hover over the world in the manage worlds area, I see this message: "World not installed. The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature has been pre-ordered and is not yet available for download." I really hope this issue is fixed before the weekend is over so I can actually play a bit before I have to go back to work. I have tried reinstlling the EA App several times. My EA Profile has the correct country (Switzerland) and the language set to German. When I login to the EA App on Windows, the App is in English and in the settings the dropdown List shows me nothing else than English. This means that I cannot not choose any other language than English for my games like FC 25 during the installation. There is a dropdown list but English is the only option. Please help! PS. My windows is set to German, my keyboard is German, my browser is set to German language... just everything is German and all the other apps like Steam etc work perfectly fine in German. I have PC and recently purchased SteamDeck. On both platforms I installed Mass Effect Legendary Edition via Steam. Steam does not offer Cloud Storage for Mass Effect, but on both ends it installed EA App. When running a game from a SteamDeck I got following message (see screenshot). So I am having a very strange problem. I bought 3 packs, Toddler stuff, Kids room stuff, and parenthood. I was able to download them fine. Then one day they randomly were not downloaded. I went to the EA app and queued them up to download but it said there was an "Unexpected issue" and to try again later. So I did and the same thing happened again and again and again. Flash forward a few months, now when I try to download them it says I don't have access since I "don't own the game' and i have the go to the game hub to get the game. I am still able to play the game and all my other packs work just fine, even ones I bought after those 3. Games missing from my EA App library
Okay, I know this is not Sims related, but I honestly don't know where else to put it and I hope that someone can help me with this. I apologize for putting this in this section, if I knew where to put it other than in here I would have. I opened my EA app and went to install a game that I have had in my library since long before EA gameplay was a thing back when we used Origin. I had games that were given away for free. They were Zuma's revenge and Theme Hospital. There was one more, but I forgot the name of it. I don't really care about Zuma's revenge being missing, but I would like to know why Theme Hospital was removed. It was a free game and I had been looking for a copy of it for 10+ years before it appeared on Origin for free. Now when I look it up it say $4.99. Why should I have to pay for a game that I had in my account for years? It was in my library three days ago and now it's not. I feel like it was stolen from me and that makes me feel uncomfortable. Could someone please help me understand why it's suddenly gone and if possible how to get it back into my account? Is this an error that's occurring with the app? Hoping someone on here can give me some guidance with a frustrating issue with my Sims 4 add-on content. I purchased multiple packs—including some as recently as last night (June 30, 2025)—and was able to successfully install and play them for several hours. However, by the following morning, the add-ons had disappeared from my EA account and game library. Even the ones I purchased in 2024 are gone. I have taken the following steps to troubleshoot this issue: Verified system compatibility and software updates. installed and reinstalled both the EA App and the Sims 4 game. Cleared the EA App cache. Updated my display drivers. Repaired the Sims 4 installation. Rebooted my PC multiple times. Checked file locations, and I can confirm all the game content (including the packs) still exists on my system and I can see the purchases on my banking. No other accounts used. Despite all of this, the content remains inaccessible through the EA App. I also noticed that I did not receive confirmation emails with any redemption codes for any of my purchases—both recent and from October 2024 and that they were automatically downloaded onto the app, and I have no other accounts used on EA app. I’ve already spoken with three different support agents today without resolution, and I was advised to contact my bank for transaction records and then return here with that information. I can no longer use my EA app as it is just frozen. I can still open my games without the EA app but this issue is still a big setback no being able to do things like make purchases. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue. I can just delete and reinstall the EA app but it does it a lot and I am fed up with it now. For the past 45 minutes I have not been able to log into my EA app to play my Sims 4 game. I am on a MacBook Air. Everything is updated, stable internet, have changed passwords, uninstalled and reinstalled and I still am not able to log in.
