Help. Run ME1 via EA Launcher needs Admin Privileges but won't run.
I download and launch ME1 from the EA Launcher "This game requires administrative privileges. do you want to grant access and launch the game" I click "OK" "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later" I tried running the EA launcher with Admin privileges. I tried running MassEffect.exe as administrator. I've tried repair. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. I've tried repair. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nothing works. Always the same message. I DID NOT buy it from Steam but from EA (actually Bioware ages ago) Thanks
Mass Effect 1 2007 CD-Ver
Hello, I've been tinkering with an old Pentium 4 machine these last days and wanted to install my Mass Effect 1 CD-ver game on it (Running WinXP, 32-bit). The problem i'm having is when I try to launch the game, it gives an error message saying: "The game can not start. The game needs access to the internet in order to verify ownership of this game. Please ensure that your computer is online and try again" I know for a fact that it is connected to the internet and there is a stable connection, so my only conclusion is that the EA/ME servers for verification has been taken offline. Is there no way to get this game to work on an old XP 32-bit machine? As far as I know support for EA APP/Origin for 32-bit systems has ended, which also makes it impossible to buy through that storefront. Now I know I could just install a 64-bit system, but i'm trying to run it on legacy hardware. Any way to solve the connection/verify issue without having to upgrade to 64-bit?
Achievement not unlocking
I'm playing MELE on PC. Trying to unlock all achievements. The Incineration specialist achievement is marked as 25/25 in game, but is not marked as complete. I play as Infiltrator, so I use incineration a lot. I've even placed squad mates in cover away from battle to make sure they don't interfere with me burning enemy armor. I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and restarting my computer, but there has been no changes to the achievement progress. What can I do to unlock this broken achievement?Mass Effect Amazon series should be a prequel, not a sequel
It was announced on N7 day that the show being made for Amazon is gonna be taking place after Mass Effect 3. Does anyone else see this as a massive mistake and missed opportunity? With how much we shape the galaxy throughout these games, creating what's effectively gonna be a hard-canon future with the TV show is doomed to a dark place in this series. If anything is gonna take place after ME3, then I want it to import my save and I will accept nothing less. That doesn't mean I'm averse to having a Mass Effect series. In fact, if we got something taking place before ME1, such as the First Contact War and the conflicts with the Batarians, that would be **bleep** awesome. I imagine it mainly following Anderson's perspective (he is the guy that Shepard succeeds, both in role and reputation. As Pressly describes the man, "If he melted down all of his medals, he could build a life-sized gold statue of himself."), but possibly jumping between him and, say Chakwas and Hackett, maybe Jack Harper, and for the Batarian arc then throw Zaeed and Major Kyle into the mix. With a prequel instead of a sequel, we would have an introduction for newcomers rather than an answer that could strongly upset just about everyone. And I mean the introduction thing, because this show is going to attract many non-Mass Effect fans, who may become interested in playing the games. So why in the hell would you spoil the whole **bleep** thing for them? Let the newcomers have their opportunity to go into the games blind, don't ruin it for them.
Achievments not unlocked
Hallo After years I decided to complete the last achievements of ME on Steam. After my great effort, the achievement Insanity 3 did not unlock. Although I finished the game on the highest difficulty. The previous two unlocked normally. The same with ME1 majority of the game. Also everything is completed. Please, what about this? How can I request a fix? I spent dozens of hours on it and then some bug prevents me from doing it
In ME3, I get the Communications Hub mission, but not the Fighter Base mission
So I've done Tuchanka. I've cured the genophage. Everyone is happy with the new alliance, but Traynor only gives me the N7:Communications Hub mission and not the N7:Cerberus Fighter Base mission. I've read online that I mistriggered something to have this happen. Is that the case? Is my game totally messed up? Will I EVER get the fighter base mission? I really like getting the heating unit for the Salarian on the Presidium Commons. Thank you!Takes 20 mins to Launch Mass Effect Legendary
Hi there, As the title states, I am taking supremely long to boot up the game. I had just finished LE1 and wanted to start LE2. After finishing the day, I had closed the launcher and went back in to see LE2, and it had taken really long to boot the game. I suspected it had to do with the large save files from LE1. So I followed one of the forums and tested to remove the save files and placed it elsewhere in my computer to check. I was right, once the save files had been taken out, the launcher booted up immediately. Now that I want to port over to LE2, I want to know how to preserve my game files, while wanting to play LE2 (which i can't because of the long load time). One of the errors that the EA launcher error code that shows up often is EC10604. At present I have uninstalled and deleted all mod managers and have preserved a copy of my game files from LE1 I had uninstalled and installed the game several times and the long load time still persists. I had also heavily modded the game. Anyone able to help me please, thank you!Cannot Launch ME2 in Legendary Edition
This began last night when I began my second playthrough of ME2 after playing it successfully a week or two ago. It started out as an issue with not being able to save my new game due to a lack of disk space, but it then turned into not being able to get into the game at all after I stupidly used the 'free up space' option on the game while the game was running. When I say 'not at all', I mean that I get the intial loading screen before the game crashes and takes me back to the main menu. The first Mass Effect opens and runs just fine, I haven't checked ME3 yet. I've tried reinstalling both the game and EA, tried restarting my computer, cleared up disk space, but the issue is persisting. My best guess as a computer technology ignoramus is that I corrupted ME2, but I can't get into the main menu of ME2 in order to delete the corrupted save. Attached are my specs (minus the device name and ID). If someone has a solution to this mess, please let me know. I got gifted Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Steam, but I can’t launch it because of the EA App. When I click Play in Steam, it validates for a bit, then opens the EA App, but the EA App doesn’t recognize the game as installed. It just says: “To launch on the EA App, download this game through Steam” and nothing happens after that. I don't get an error message. Here’s what I’ve already tried: -Uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA App and the game from Steam. -Cleared the EA App cache (using App Recovery). -Deleted the ProgramData\Electronic Arts and AppData\Local\Electronic Arts folders. -Verified the game files in Steam. Despite all that, EA App still shows the game as “Download and launch from Steam” instead of Installed, so Steam launches EA App but the game never starts. Has anyone found a working fix for this recently? I saw old posts mentioning Origin, but since Origin is gone, I can’t try those solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to play the game.ME Leg crashed at launch with reset password suggestion.
Every time I try and run Mass Effect Legendary it starts, gets to the 'preparing game' screen and then the following error message pops up: 'There's been an error Try resetting your password and restarting your game. You can now close this window' I've tried everything. Help!
PC - Mass Effect 3 Online Pass Error
Hi everyone, I also have the Online Pass Error Message Problem and cannot access the Multiplayer Part of the game. The single Player DLCs seem all to work. "An online pass is required to access online features of the game." I bought the standard game edition with all DLCs originally on my Origin Account. My first online Pass Error was fixed by the support. After the transition to the EA App it happened again and the support fixed it again. Last year I got the problem the third time and after two weeks of writing emails with the EA Support and chatting with the Live Chat Service, I gave up. So new try: I did the following steps by @ EA_Shepard: Repaired Mass Effect 3 Delete License Files Delete Windows Temp Files Uninstall EA APP and ME 3 with revo setup DELETE and Reinstall EA APP and ME 3 several times I really hope I get access back to the Multiplayer. Mass Effect 2 - Failure to Launch
Every time I try and launch Mass Effect 2 I get an error screen on EA App that "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try it again a little later". A little later it still isn't launching and Uninstalling and reinstalling it also didn't help. I'm not sure what to do or how to fix it. Is this just me? Any help appreciated!EA Launcher not starting ME LE
I played 2 days ago, the ME series is my preferred game and I finished 1-3 over 25 times. My fiber provider had a tech yesterday and I tried to start a offline session... what didn't work. Connection is back but the EA Launcher just stands on: Launching Game.. now for about 1 hour. I did a repair.. Repair successful.. but nothing makes the game start again. This App is just a hassle and EA is off my list to ever buy a game again. If you can't run a working Launcher for your own games, you suck! I honestly had enough with this crap app, is not the first time it refuses to start a game i bought. Worst app ever.. and I got my first PC with 15 (VC20).. now 56 years old.
ME 3 Multiplayer, cant play with my friends
So yesterday out of nostalgy i convinced my friend to buy a copy of Mass Effect 3. She activated it, downloadet it but EA app doesnt show her any add ons except Extended cut. It is a problem because when we try to play multiplayer together it shows we cant play together because I have multiplayer add ons (Reckoning, Earth...) that were free updates and she doesnt. Unfortunately i cant just simply deactivate them or something. Does anyone have an advice on what to do with it?
Mass Effect Andromeda wont launch
No matter what I try the game wont launch, it seems multiple people have been having this issue but so far nothing has been fixed, its clearly something to do with the ea app. I own the game on steam and every time I try to start it I see the ea app start to load then it disappears and the games is no longer launching, if the ea app is already running, launching the game will cause the app to close then reopen. Btw i have tried reinstalling the game, the app, restarting my pc, updating windows, clearing the ea app cache and more but the problem still remains.
