Quick thoughts after not playing for a few years
Quick summary: this game is god awful At this point there's no "tweak" or "adjustment" that can be made, you need to completely revamp everything and start from scratch. Here are my quick thoughts after playing a bunch of drop-in 3v3 & 5v5 games: The game play is slow and boring, and it takes forever to recover when you're tired. It's like playing beer league Hockey with a 2 pack per day smoker. Matchmaker only. I will always push for server browser style lobbies, it makes it way quicker to join games when population is low, which it always is in this game. Controls & mechanics make no sense. The devs are trying to make this so hyper realistic that they forgot to make it actually fun. There's a TON of smaller changes even some nit picky things missing that I could list from the PS3/360 era, which was peak EASHL, but I don't care anymore, this series is beyond repair.
Update on codes
Hey, everyone. I know there are some of wondering where your code is. We've been sending them out in waves. Another will go out tomorrow, Wednesday and the last wave will go out Friday. So, if you haven't gotten it yet, most likely you'll get it tomorrow or Friday. Be sure to check all your folders. Spam, junk, promotions, etc. Also, it would be good to make sure you're registered on the right account. You can check this at playtesting.ea.com.World of chel glitch
Sometimes when a team takes a penalty it puts everyone in an either extremely slow replay of the game. Or it puts people in a glitch where all they see is blank ice with refs and players glitching out and standing still. It is a 50/50 chance it happens when a pen happens and genuinely is ruining the game in the demo right now. This is happening in the 3v3 mode and I am unaware if it happens in 6v6 aswell. Please fix this issue as the only way to get out of the glitch is someone from either team leaving.NHL Play Test Network Connection Issue
I have downloaded NHL 27 play test and anytime I go to launch the game it says to click the x button on the ps5. I do that and 5 seconds after it says I have a network connection issue. I have checked the my PlayStation network and it is perfectly fine and I have tested my internet connection and it is fine too. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this so that I can play.
Adaptive AI
So will coaches pull the goalie with more than 20 seconds left now? And better yet will the defending team actually protect the puck rather than letting the attacking team shoot it uncontested into a gaping net? This has been an issue since...PS2/Xbox I believe. I'm sorry but for this Gen systems, adaptive AI should govern the gameplay. The whole game should be dynamic. We're already 7 games in and that still hasn't happened. Sorry but I'm not holding my breath for 27...or the NEXT gen systems. Dude the NHL franchise should be as hyped as GTA. Could you imagine if they poured as much work and depth as Rockstar does with GTA or RDR? With the current gen systems, the gameplay and graphics should be almost undistinguishable from an actual NHL game. Far from it. Also EA could justify raising costs; I'd pay extra for a good product. Why do you guys create new modes for games and not have them finished? I don’t understand how you can charge so much for the new nhl and you bring back gm connected but it’s not finished. What’s the point of bringing it back if the whole mode is not finished. It’s pretty much just a roster update at this point . I think you need new people in that position because it’s pretty sad that ea is billion dollar company but they can’t finish a mode in a year.’Yeah like at that point I shouldn’t have to pay full price for a gaMe. There has been some speculation about the Skill Point (SP), Attribute Point cap increases, and AP bonuses in the Season Pass and Store on the World of Chel playtest, and we wanted to pass on some information. In NHL27, there will always be a free option to earn these cap increases and attribute bonuses. Additionally, if you miss a season or seasons, there will be an opportunity to catch up on previous seasons' bonuses through a free mechanism, so you don't fall behind your friends. I didn't mind the past playtest for past chels, but this has got to be the worst chel beta I've ever played. I've been playing since 2013 online and haven't played a better chel than that one lol. If the full game is anything like this beta on release then I'm probably just going to be playing connected franchise, no more world of chel. Sick of these stupid microtransactions, premade builds, and lack of ideas. 50 points for xfactors? Just take out the xfactors already. No one asked for xfactors and premade builds. The community has been asking for complete freedom to upgrade and spend points on your player. Instead we get all these fair play builds lol 2K should just takeover already.PlayTest Codes Update 7/24

so most of what the posts here are about is the issues with the play test (ok, I can see that) and connected franchise (not so much about this) but my big question is....... WHAT ABOUT THE FORM SCORE. this was a big issue in 26 and nothing has been said about it. also did they fix it where it goes by position instead of just scoring? and did (or can they) fix the coaches score so that if playing a defenseman, you don't have to get a 65% (or more) in offense and focus more on defense?
