FIX UPDATE: Ewok Hunt Extraction Bug (UK/EU Servers)
Hey everyone, If you’ve been stuck with the invisible extraction shuttle, detached cameras, or black screens at the end of Ewok Hunt, don't panic—it’s not your PC or your internet. > I just spent a long time with EA Support and managed to get this officially escalated to the Specialized Technical Team. They have confirmed this is a Server-Side Bug specifically affecting the UK/EU region. Key points: It affects the entire 20-player lobby at once. Troubleshooting (reinstalling, clearing cache) won't fix it because the error is in the EA server scripts. The report is now with the developers for investigation. Lately I cannot start the game after enabling Dx12. It used to work a while ago (maybe a couple months) but after coming back to the game it now just crashes after the initial splash screen. System specs: Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K, 3400 Mhz Motherboard Z790 AORUS ELITE AX GPU Intel(R) Arc(TM) A770 Graphics GPU driver on latest version (32.0.101.8626). I have *Battlefront 2* on the Epic Games Store, and when I click “Play,” it redirects me to the EA app, where I get an error message saying I can only change my password or try restarting the app. I tried changing my password, but it didn’t help. I don’t know what to do next. Plus, I can’t link my account through the website—there’s simply no button to link it to Epic Games, and conversely, I can’t link the EA app to Epic Games. I know I’m not the only one who has had this happen, which is why I decided to finally create this. I have been extremely disappointed with EA, and their lack of professionalism. my account for Battlefront 2, was banned a little over a year ago now. The claim was that I had cheated. I tried appealing it (knowing that I had not ever cheated, and don’t even know how to cheat). I’ve tried every avenue that I could find to try and appeal it, but always get same automated bull crap answer, “we have done an investigation, and you have been found cheating. We will not change our decision”…. Something along that line. I was finally able to find out the supposed reason I was being labeled as a cheater, and that was where I was reported to be using weapon”enhancements”. I’m sorry, but the only weapon enhancements I even know about are the in-game mods that you can equip, which everyone else has access to if they’ve unlocked them. I really wish a real person from EA would do an actual investigation, and not use an automated response to lie and say an investigation has been made. If a real investigation were done, then I should not be banned. I don’t know what kind of software EA uses to find irregularities, but may I dare suggest, that those are not infallible. They are made by man, which automatically deems them prone to mistakes, and irregularities of their own. People are not perfect, so if you’re suggesting that the software is unable to make a mistake, then that is making a major faulty conclusion that the creator/creators of it are incapable of mistakes. please do a real investigation, and find the real error. I can assure you that I never cheated, nor plan to cheat. I find it frustrating to play against people who do. I mainly had an issue outside the game, in the menu where things disappeared and I did not know where to click. It is now even worse. In game, my HUD, cards, and crosshair are disappearing, if I am lucky the hud returns for three seconds before vanishing again. I have written to EA many times about the issue in the game menu, but I have never received any solution or response. Connection issues
EDIT: I’ve continued investigating things from my end, and I think I’ve stumbled across what may be the issue. I noticed that my internet connection was a third the speed that it usually is; jiggling the Ethernet cable restored full speed. Every other time I’ve checked prior it’s been at normal speed, but after frequent checking following the first drop in speed I noticed one other time where the speed was dropped, and once again in that instance jiggling the cable resumed normal speed. I played yesterday on WiFi instead and did crash to menu once, but it was without error messages and everyone else in the match crashed back to menu as well. So I’m now suspecting my Ethernet port may have become damaged leading to the bulk of my issues. I didn’t previously pick up on it because no other applications/games had been affected for some reason, and I only caught the drop in speed by chance. And because the crashes started around the time of the update announcement and other people I knew were experiencing crashes too, a problem at the EA server end had become my primary suspicion. But maybe it was just unfortunate coincidence. I’m gonna keep playing via WiFi and see if the error messages continue; if they do I’ll provide another update, but I’m posting this now because I don’t want to keep wasting anyone’s time in the event that someone from EA is looking into it, and if it turns out that my Ethernet port was the problem then I deeply apologize for any time I’ve wasted. End edit ————————————————————————————— Ever since the server-side update several weeks ago I’ve been getting regularly kicked from lobbies (sometimes during the match and sometimes before the match has even started). I’ve been playing the game regularly since 2019 and have never experienced anything like this. In the past I may have been kicked a couple of times per year at most, but now it’s happening almost every day. I’m also more frequently experienced red bar connections. Often the kicks are accompanied by error messages but occasionally I just find myself kicked to menu screen with no apparent errors, but then a lost connection error will occur when I try to search again. There have been a number of error codes; I’ve attached all the ones I’ve seen recently. I made a picture demonstrating one of the flows of error messages I receive too, where I get error 672 and then when I click reconnect I get error 721. Nothing has changed with my setup, and I’ve tried every network and graphics related troubleshooting step that EA support suggested before they recommended again that I post here. I’ve also tried completely uninstalling battlefront 2 and the EA app and reinstalling both, and the issues still persist. I noticed that battlefront 2 had a big server outage last week and the connection instability has continued, so this seems to be an issue at the EA server end rather than an issue with my setup. To those at EA who work in this area, please look into this, as something has gone very wrong and being kicked from lobbies most days is a game breaking problem. I just want to start this discussion by saying trying to contact EA support has been extremely frustrating, it seems that they've replaced their ticket system and live chat options with an AI that doesn't even help it just redirects you to self serve support, anyway since yesterday I've been getting a warning message in game that says "Slow Connection This Might Affect Gameplay" with three bars out of four being white. First of all everyone who likes to play more than a foot soldier desperately wants this gamemode. We all go into 2v2s just to isolate and 1v1 anyway. Its fun to try to win the 2v1 but the point is so much time and serverhopping could be saved if we could convince the devs to give us this one thing. We cant do custom 1v1s with sabers with our friends, nor can we duel 1v1 online if it wasnt the for the community. So many lobbies are created and time is wasted on queues when ALL we have ever wanted is 1v1s. Please help me reach out of dice to let this be someone's passion fueled weekend project. | This gamemode will not cost you more server space, I am sure that it will actually be more efficient on the servers because people will not be constantly leaving and rejoining lobbies. Please give us the 1v1 gamemode or at least a way to setup 1v1 custom games.... ideally both. I loged onto my Xbox two days ago and tried to play BattleFront2. i got a error code [inside the game] ive never seen before and it said to restart the game. i restart it and open it. i have two crates waiting and i look at them. they are the beginner crates. At this point im worrying because i just went on a grind for a quest. i look at my quests and they all say they and complete. my characters still say they are the same level. but when i click on a character they have no cards and the cosmetics i earn through quests arent there. i check my EA account for my xbox games and my xbox is unlinked. I then check my mobile gmae account to make sure that data hasnt erased too and come to find my xbox linked to that account without my knowing. i unerstand that sounds crazy but i have no clue how it unlink and linked by itself. i went to unlink it and it say i have to wait until August, same with linking it.
