[Bug - French VO] Masculine gender used for female character
**Bug Description** All NPCs and characters in the game address and refer to my female character using masculine grammar and titles throughout the French localization. This affects all voiced dialogue across the game. The issue did not occur before, strongly suggesting a regression introduced by a recent patch. This issue has also been reported by other players, so it does not appear to be isolated to my account. NPCs should address and refer to the female character using correct feminine grammar and titles in French, as was the case before. NPCs say "Monsieur" instead of "Madame" when addressing the character. This is one instance of a broader issue affecting all masculine/feminine grammar throughout the French localization. Multiple players have reported the same issue on forums and social media. This is most likely a broader error in the French localization files introduced during a recent patch.Ror0llo8 days agoRising Newcomer36Views0likes0CommentsFeedback and Quality-of-Life Suggestions for SWTOR
Hello SWTOR Team, First of all, thank you for continuing to support Star Wars: The Old Republic after all these years. SWTOR still has one of the best story experiences in any MMORPG, and I truly appreciate the work that goes into maintaining and expanding the game. I would like to share some feedback and quality-of-life suggestions that I believe could significantly improve the overall player experience, immersion, and accessibility for both new and returning players. 1. It would be great to have an optional “action combat” mode similar to modern action-oriented MMORPGs. the ability to hide the mouse cursor during combat, more direct camera-controlled targeting, smoother aiming mechanics, and additional action-combat elements that make gameplay feel more dynamic and immersive. This could remain entirely optional, allowing players to choose between the traditional MMORPG combat style and a more action-focused experience. 2. Context-Sensitive Action Button A contextual interaction button similar to WoW’s “extra action/interact” feature would be extremely useful. Pressing a single key to interact with objects or NPCs directly in front of the character would make gameplay feel much smoother. 3. More Immersive and Dynamic Combat Feel Improving the overall feeling of combat immersion and responsiveness would greatly benefit the game. SWTOR already has strong animations and storytelling, but combat could feel more impactful and engaging. 4. Conversation UI and Presentation Consistency One of SWTOR’s greatest strengths is its cinematic storytelling and fully voiced dialogue system. The original conversation wheel, cinematic camera work, and voiced player character interactions create a modern and immersive RPG experience that feels unique among MMORPGs. However, as the story progresses, many conversations transition into an older-style presentation format where: the player character no longer speaks, subtitles appear in a black bar at the top of the screen, and the overall dialogue presentation feels visually and emotionally less immersive. Personally, this older presentation style feels like a step backwards compared to the original cinematic system. The sudden transition during progression is also jarring and negatively affects immersion. choosing between cinematic and simplified conversation UI styles, selecting preferred dialogue window layouts, maintaining full voice acting whenever possible, and ideally expanding voice acting to conversations where it is currently missing. Storytelling is one of SWTOR’s defining features, so preserving immersion and presentation quality in conversations is extremely important. 5. Two-Factor Authentication Improvements Having to enter MFA verification codes almost every time is extremely frustrating. Most modern games allow players to trust or remember devices for a longer period of time. The current system creates a negative first impression when launching the game: “Again? Seriously?” Improving this system would make the login experience much more user-friendly. 6. Enemy Aggro Range Enemy aggro distance often feels excessively large. Enemies can attack from very far away, which becomes frustrating and repetitive over time. Fighting every single mob while traveling can feel exhausting rather than enjoyable. 7. Map Zoom Functionality A proper zoom feature on the world map has been missing for years. The magnifier currently available is not a good replacement for actual zoom controls. This feels like a relatively simple but highly valuable quality-of-life improvement. 8. Bug Reports Locked Behind Subscription I do not understand why bug reporting is restricted behind subscription requirements in some cases. This prevents many players from reporting issues and reduces the amount of free feedback available from the community. I personally encountered several bugs I wanted to report but could not. 9. Item Rarity and Gear Colors It feels strange that green and blue items with the same rating often have identical stats. Even a small statistical improvement on higher rarity gear would make rarity colors feel meaningful again. Currently, the rarity system loses much of its purpose. 10. Hide Helmet Only During Dialogues Please consider adding an option to automatically hide helmets only during conversations and cutscenes. This would significantly improve immersion while still allowing players to wear helmets during normal gameplay. 11. Camera Movement on Stairs The camera shaking while walking on stairs has been an issue since launch. It feels extremely rough and outdated. Any improvement to camera smoothing on stairs, or making stairs behave more like flat surfaces for camera movement, would be highly appreciated. 12. Story Mission Bugs Affecting New Players One of the worst impressions for new players can come from bugs during story missions. During my recent playthroughs of Jedi Consular and Bounty Hunter, I encountered several immersion-breaking issues in story scenes, including: characters not appearing correctly during dialogues, characters suddenly teleporting, missing weapons during cutscenes, and other visual scripting problems. While some were small individually, together they negatively impacted the storytelling experience. 13. Mission Item Usage Having to manually click mission items inside the inventory or quest log feels outdated and inconvenient. Many modern MMOs automatically use the required quest item when interacting with the correct NPC or object. Alternatively, please consider automatically placing temporary mission items onto a dedicated quickbar slot. 14. Companion Missing During Mount-to-Cutscene Transitions If a player starts a cutscene while mounted, companions often fail to appear in the cinematic. This has been an issue since release and significantly hurts immersion and companion presence during story moments. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. SWTOR remains a unique MMORPG with incredible storytelling potential, and I genuinely hope the game continues to improve and grow. We can't log you in. Please double check you are using the Steam account
I've decided to return into the game after not playing it in 3 years, both times on Steam. I do not remember making another SWTOR account, but even if I did I do not have access to it. I now tried to make a new one and link it to Steam, but it says that I can't. I've seen there's a way to solve it by calling support but I also wanted to see if there are any other options, plus I don't have/didn't found a way to make a proper international call from my country(And when I try to call the number for my language just from my phone it says that the number is incorrect). Thanks in advance for the helpGL4Z_MAFIA25 days agoNot applicable64Views0likes0CommentsSwtor Stutter / Fps drop
Hi everyone , I recently came back to swtor and have a weird issue. My game will run on constant 141 fps i can move the camera around 360 and it wont drop a single frame. I can mount up and run through the map and not get a fps drop then all of a sudden it drops to 137. It does it in combat aswell and the whole screen almost freezes when this happens for like a millisecond. I know if you ever open the ui it drops which is normal but this happens just in the open world or even in a bunker underground with not much to load. I Changed all the graphics down the low , disabled enhanced shadows , bloom everything. The game will do the same run constant on 141 then sudden drop to 137 and it just feels terrible. I also tried to set the fps to cap at 60 it does the exact same it just drops to 56-58 but has that millisecond freeze aswell. I tried disabling gsync , vsync , both together , vsync fast in nvidia panel. Triple buffering on and off. Is this normal i read that the engine is old and not optimized , does anyone have similar issues ? I have 0 issues in other newer titles and even older titles. My temps run a average of 45 and peaks at 60 maximum. My specs are Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 64 GB 6000 CL30 Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X870-P WiFi Graphics Card: Geforce 4080 16g Monitor: Predator xb273 gx CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D Windows 11125Views0likes0CommentsGetting DISCONNECTED from SWTOR!!!!
It would be nice to see someone at EA to FIX an ongoing issue with players constantly getting disconnected from SWTOR. I have checked my internet speeds and everything is 1 Gig. So that means it's on EA end. PLUS as I can see I'm not the only player having this issue.34Views0likes0Comments- 55Views0likes0Comments
Account Recovery.
Hello, Good morning, afternoon or evening to anyone who was reading this. I will explain the situation and the problem that a friend has had since 2024 and I would like to help him find a solution. - On July 26, 2024, my friend Pablo, whose character in Star Wars: The Old Republic was named "YUZUF TEZCAN_01012," suffered a massive hack of his Steam, Gmail, social media, and other gaming accounts. - My friend was unable to recover his email account, so he had to create a new one for work reasons. His account at that time was "[edit: email address removed]," an account that should still be linked to the game, but which he can no longer access. -We made several attempts to recover it, but we didn't get enough attention, even though he presented invoices proving he owned these accounts. Even so, EA and SWTOR are the only two accounts we still need to recover. Due to work-related reasons, he had to create a completely new email address and start from scratch. We, from Argentina, are having a bit more difficulty contacting phone support in English since we don't know the language well enough for a fluent conversation, and the cost of a long-distance call is difficult to afford if we have to spend too much time on the phone. Therefore, I'm asking if there's any other way to recover his account and change the email address associated with his SWTOR account to his new one. Thank you to everyone who read this. I hope you can help us, and may the force be with you.MelkrovT2 months agoNewcomer47Views0likes0Comments- HairyMonk962 months agoNot applicable22Views0likes0Comments

FAQ: Steam Purchase This is only applicable if you have purchased a subscription or bundle via Steam. You will need to provide screenshots to support via email: support@swtor.com If you need help with taking screenshots read here I subscribed, but the game still thinks I’m not a subscriber If you were logged into the game when you subscribed, try quitting the game entirely and logging back in again. Your subscriber status should update on a new login. If it doesn’t, check your email for a receipt from Steam to make sure your subscription payment went through successfully. If it did, and you’re still not showing as a subscriber in-game, follow these steps to get help: Go to your Steam purchase history: Log in to the Steam client Click on your username at the top right. Choose Account Details. Take a full screen screenshot of your account details page, clearly showing your Steam account name and Steam ID number. These screenshots must be unedited so we can verify your account details without having to ask you for more information or additional screenshots. Click on View Purchase History. Take a screenshot of your Purchase History screen, clearly showing the SW:TOR transaction. Click in to the transaction, and screenshot that page too. Email these screenshots to support@swtor.com (use the email on the swtor account) Few Do's and Donts Dont crop the Purchase or Steam ID page be sure they are as shown here Do Email from the email you have used on the swtor account If your email is over 4mb it will be blocked at the email gateway Dont provide a screenshot showing your preferred it is pointless and usually makes the email too large Dont take pictures with your phone and send in, they are usually not up to the required standard.115KViews180likes0Comments
