Suggestion - Sims 4 - Sims with Disabilities
I honestly believe Sims 4 is the perfect environment to represent people with disabilities. There are very few major games which do so. Elements that could be put in include: Wheelchair Bound Sims Ramps/Elevators they can use instead of stairs Walkers/Canes (for elderly/injured sims) Deafness add Sign Language skill. Without it, they would be limited to non verbal communication. Appropriate handicap in learning auditory skills Blindness Seeing eye pets White Canes Appropriate handicap in learning visual skills And so on...
For those arguing why the Hijab & whatnot are not in a seperate pack:
*sigh* Surprised people have to explain this but here goes: Are you seriously comparing the amount of content in the Holidays pack to this patch which has "Islamic" (even though, it is more cultural than anything but let's go with how the community is describing it) content which can be counted on your fingers? Are you genuinely convinced that they should make packs for EVERYTHING remotely representative? Because if so, that means the LGBTQ+ content should've had a pack and it didn't and we are all fine with it. Simple, don't use it. "But BUT BUT TOWNIES WILL BE GENERATED WITH THESE OUTFITS Dx!!!" We don't know that yet, they may have unique tags, so chill.
Hotel Game Pack
Just to be clear what I am going for is a bit of old school luxury in my hotel choices. Something that centers around the aesthetics and service. Also since the Sims tends to skew American I went for more of a Great Britain feel with a bit of luxury Egypt. I tossed in a little Overlook Hotel too. This may not be everyone's cup of tea stylistically speaking, some people maybe want something simple like a bed & breakfast or the great American Road trip where you stay in kinda tacky cheap places. The Sims™ 4 Music Expansion Pack
Hey, I've seen a lot of music-related topics here but all of them were about bands so I decided to give my idea of something that would be larger than bands and worthy of an expansion pack instead of a game pack, and before you say anything - hear me out. Music is something that makes our life better, I can't imagine a life without music, all those sounds that were being created for centuries have always been something that people liked. The music industry over the years has gotten so much more attention and is currently one of the highest-paid industries in the world. Making a game pack only about bands would be such a missed opportunity. For starters, I think that there should be three ways of gameplay: solo, group, or band. Bands and groups will have the ability to practice together and groups will be able to harmonize. You can leave a certain group or band and go solo anytime you want. There should be also a new management menu that would allow us to: manage the members of our group or band see our recognition level with the number of fans change the name of our singer/group/band view all released music and see which place it took on the charts schedule (and view already scheduled) concerts and concert tours display of the current record label with the description of advantages and disadvantages Besides that, there should be two new traits connected to singing and performing giving a little advantage when singing and performing and three new skills: classical singing, contemporary singing, songwriting, and one hidden skill called performing. Also, a new skill for the new instrument - drums, obviously. Classical singing is something that allows our Sims to be opera singers, they will be able to practice it by going on paid vocal lessons or by themselves (but this way is less effective and can harm/strain the voice easily). They can go and audition for a job and depending on their classical singing skill, they might be accepted and work in the opera (rabbit hole). Contemporary singing is right now one of the most popular ways of singing and that is the type of singers that record labels want. Sims can learn contemporary singing the same way as classical singing - by going on paid vocal lessons or by themselves (but this way is less effective and can harm/strain the voice easily). Solo, groups, or bands can record covers of certain songs and then post them on the internet. Depending on their skills and ways of promotion, they will gain recognition, and the bigger their recognition is and the hype over the cover, the bigger the chance a record label will call them and offer them a certain record deal. Another way of getting into a record label would be to record a demo of an original song and wait for the response of a certain record label. Record labels will have two types: Major and Indie. Major labels will be all about profit and domination in the music market. + you will gain a lot more recognition, fame, and money + your songs will get higher on the charts (also with a big chance of achieving 1st place) + your music will be of very high quality and you will have access to the best recording studios in the new world for free + concerts and concert tours expenses will be paid for by your label - you will have less control over the music (they will tell you what you need to do to complete the requirements included in the contract, for example, release 5 songs in the R&B genre, which also will be finally added) - they will own all songs that were created by you during the time under that label (if you released a song and you will leave that label you will not be able to sing it at concerts and any money etc.) - they will take a certain % out of your earnings - they will schedule concerts and concert tours for you, whenever they want Indie labels will be more artist-friendly but also will be less important in the music market. + you will have full control over your music + you will own all your songs - it will be harder for you to go on top of the charts (but this depends more on recognition and fame levels) - you will gain less recognition, fame, and money - all expenses will have to be paid by you There will be an option to negotiate a major record deal and if the major record label agrees with you (depends on your recognition level and fame), a certain disadvantage will be removed. So for example, if you decided that you want to negotiate control over your music, if successful, you will have control over your music in the major label. Recording music You can record music and release it anytime you want, even if you don't have a record deal with a major label but remember that an expensive recording studio will give you higher quality songs but also will be indeed, very expensive. Performing You can perform anywhere and anytime you want but you can also schedule a concert or concert tour (even if you don't have a record deal with a major label but this will be very, very expensive). There will be a special menu that will list all available places for you to book, as well as a new venue called stadium (similar to The Sims 3) that will be a big arena in which our global stars will be able to sing and perform. There will be new group dances for groups and singers. So, in conclusion, in case you don't want to read all of it. There will be a new world, similar to Los Angeles in which you will have new venues: cheap and expensive recording studio, stadium You will be able to go solo, in a group, or a band (bands and groups can practice together, groups can harmonize). You can quit a band/group or go solo whenever you want. You will be able to gain new skills: classical singing, contemporary singing, songwriting, playing on drums, and one hidden skill called performing You will be able to write and then record your own songs in a cheap or expensive recording studio. You will be able to schedule concerts and concert tours for money You will be able to sign a record deal with an indie or a major label (and also negotiate the deal in the major labels) You will gain recognition and fame (with Get Famous) New job that you need to go on an audition first to get it: opera singer New activity: vocal and music lessons where you can practice your skills New radio station: R&B New situation in which singer can strain their voice and won't be able to sing for an estimated period of timeBring Whims back please
Wants and fears are not gonna be ok for me. I was so used to whims! Turning them off wouldn't be right for me, I just am connected to whims. Maybe make an option button to enable and disable whims and wants and fears respectively. The image of Humiliated Sakuya has whims, that's what I want to see. I don't need to see Shion stay on the lot for 8 hours or be alone, I want whims.
Please add Menstrual cycles and OB/YGNS
Dear EA team I love the sims 4 and your inclusivity with lgbtq representation such as pronouns and gender options but I’m asking you please to add menstrual cycles to the game along with ob/ygns as optional features it adds realism and what women trans men and non binary people go through every month periods are normal and we need more representation on menstrual cycles not only that but I know the sims has a younger audience including young girl’s and trans kids and seeing those features means there seeing this what I go through other girls women and people go through every month this is normal and putting that in the game will only pioneer for more games in media to touch on it along with ob/gyns being important and other medical issues especially menopause with older women an ob/ygn is a good normal thing especially if it tells the health of your female sims including pregnancy or any health complications and the period cycles could have a calendar where you check the days along with heat pads tampons and pads and with these suggestions opens a whole new perspective of realism in the sims 4 itself and makes those who feel ashamed or embarrassed feel empowered and know that they go through it too and with that please and thank you k you for listening EA teamSims 4 Multiplayer or Online
Sims 4 online or multiplayer should be an expansion pack where you can play with your friends live on the Sims 4. Basically, in a household, you can both go into create a sim and be able to create one household together. Also, you should be able to do the same but with building house. Both have access to the same lot on one world and be able to build together and play live together. Another option could be you can both play on the same exact world/game but build different houses and different households that can visit each other. I just think the game would be way more enjoyable if you could be able to play live with your friends. Thank you.Changing Keybindings in The Sims 4
This is the real issue with this game ! Why are there not a way to change my keybindings in this game.! Heard many say that it is needed, and i think THIS IS the only game in the world with lack of that feature. Any with connection who can answer me WHY they have left out keybinds for this game ?!
Suggestion for Menopause for the Adult Life Stage
I do wonder what age range is suggested for the adult life stage. In my mind, it is between 40 and 65, mainly because the animations for the Elder life stage do not apply to that age range. And being 50 myself (yay for older Sims players!), I have maybe a few grey hairs on my head, and I enjoy good health (and anyone my age can tell you that in your head, you still feel like you are in your 20s). So my suggestion is that somewhere midway through the adult life stage, female sims go through perimenopause and then menopause stage. My reasoning is twofold. First, of course, it brings a level of realism to the game. Women don't suddenly stop being able to get pregnant overnight. It is a process of diminishing fertility (the sims could be less likely to get pregnant from try-for-baby woohoo during the first half of the adult life stage). Second, adult sims who get pregnant late into the adult stage will die before their children are teens, in some cases. You see it when NPCs have children through neighbourhood stories when they are very late adulthood, and then the children disappear from the game when their parents die. In real life, if a woman, say, at 50, has a child (which is rare), she would be 70 when that child reaches 20. and 65-70 is, in my mind, when you become an elder. Another cheeky suggestion would be that there should be more greying hair options for the Adult life stage. Currently, there are only two (a black and brown swatch). Anyway, just some thoughts! EDIT: I don't know why my post made so many people emotional - the Sims team doesn't even listen to us about game-breaking bugs, but everyone seems to be having a fit that the Sims team will implement my feeble feedback post and destroy everyone's games. I just found out about the daily login rewards from social media and I'm already confused. There's no dedicated, official Sims 4 announcement explaining them on twitter (at least not that I've found), and I'm not able to access my game for a couple days so do I just...miss out on them? I'm so confused! I play the game constantly I literally have 7k hours logged and I haven't seen any clear explanation of how they work, and I have no way of checking while I'm away from my computer! If there's three items in one week, and you have to log in once per day to get them, what happens if your first login is on a Friday? Do you just miss out when the week resets if you don't have enough days? Someone please explain! Like I said, I've been playing this game since it launched on Mac, I have over 7k hours logged, I even have all the pre-order bonus content from packs that frankly, I'm not much of a fan of. And now I could be potentially missing out on items because I'm away from my desktop for a day or two? When I spend so much of my time and money on the game? Please explain!
No more live events!
Nobody asked for this. Seriously. I'm sure the executives at EA love live events because they pump up login numbers, but they're terrible for the players: Inciting FOMO- being limited-time events with no other official way to unlock the content, players that can't/won't use mods miss out if they're not playing during the time an event is live. Forcing a specific playstyle- The appeal of The Sims has always been that it's your sandbox to do what you want in, but unless a player completely avoids opening the game in online mode, these events intrude upon gameplay without an opt-out. That was probably the thing that annoyed me most about Reaper's Rewards, having the event pop up in saves I didn't intend to play through it in. Forcing online play- The Sims 4 is a single-player game, therefore playing online should never be mandatory, let alone a requirement to get and keep content. Bugs, bugs, bugs- The Happy at Home content had to be handed out to everyone because so many people had trouble getting it in the intended manner; Answers HQ and social media were flooded for the duration of the event with reports of problems playing Reaper's Rewards and getting its loot. I don't trust that Cozy Celebrations is going to be any better in that regard. Seriously, bugs- The dev time and energy that's going into pushing this mobile-game-esque nonsense would be much better spent fixing major issues with the game, as the playerbase has been clamoring for for years and as EA has promised they were going to devote more time to. When I saw there was a patch today, I was hoping it would include some of those fixes. At the very least, it's unacceptable that trans bodies are still broken several months and several patches after that bug was introduced, despite EA/Maxis's lip service to depicting diverse Sims and a modder showing how easy it was to fix within a week of the patch. Please, EA. Save this nonsense for multiplayer games and/or Project Rene (since it doesn't sound like it's going to be a traditional Sims game anyway.) Sims 4 doesn't need it and the players don't want it. As for me, I may just keep my game totally offline until after the event so it doesn't interrupt my gameplay. Until the next FOMO-fest comes around, anyway...
