Can mods cause problems after being removed?
So I have a bunch of issues with my game, and new ones keeps on showing up. Some of those have appeard on completely mod free game folders, while others have appeared on modded saves, and game folders. My question is, if an issue appearing in a modded folder stil persist after removing the mods, or even copying the save game to a mod free game folder, could it still be an issue causes by a mod, lingering after the mod is gone, or does mod gone, prove that it’s an actual game bug? I’ve never ever in my entire sims 1,2,3 and 4 career experienced a mod actually ruining the game even after it has been removed, so I just need to know if that’s even a possibility. The amount and seriousness of the bugs I’ve had in this game lately is just so disheartening, and I just want to find out what is causing it, so maybe I can fix it, or in the very least avoid it in the future.SolvedMoxiAlba8 hours agoSeasoned Novice193Views0likes6Comments
Help adding new custom trait to satisfaction store

Enchanted by Nature missing entirely in pack settings within settings
So I wanted to turn off the balance system entirely and when I went into pack settings under game options, Enchanted by Nature pack as a whole is not even on the list??? Game gets stuck in time at 4am.
At exactly 4am my sims will freeze in time and the time will not progress. i've tried it multiple times and i cant get it past this point. i cant go to manage worlds or save after 4am. ive tried alt f4ing and then playing in a different household when the time runs over but this won't work either. i've also tried splitting my household as this was a suggestion i saw on reddit. this happened to me a few days ago too and that time being in a different household fixed my issue. this only happens in 1 save but this is the only save i play in ): . i've tried to disable mods and CC but this just causes my save to not load at all. the Wooden Throne woohoo animation is broken
my Sims autonomously woohoo'd in the Wooden Throne from Nature's Calling event and I noticed the animation where my one sim goes inside as the woohoo animation plays while the other sim is stuck from the kissing animation. you can check the animation in the video I uploaded.Solved26Views0likes2CommentsPregnancy Issues (Patch 1.116.232)
I have updated my game today July 16 with the update that was meant to fix pregnancy, but I still do not even have the option to take a pregancy test after woohoo. I turned off mods and tried removing my mods folder but it still isn't working for me. Menu glitch after the patch 2 July
Hello everyone. After the update of game, I can't use my woodworking table anymore. When I want to make something on the table, it is showing like this: I can't close this window by pressing the x icon. All I can do is save and exit the game. Merfolk plumbob missing band.
I'm not sure exactly when this happened but I noticed today that my merfolk sim's plumbob appeared as the plumbob for non occult sims. This is not the case for other occults, although the only other one I have is aliens. I do use CC and mods but I don't know if it relates to that. Just wanted to let anyone else who uses the mod know that it appears to be breaking the new "Balance" UI with Enchanted By Nature. I narrowed it down with the 50/50 method. She appears to be taking a deserved break ATM and I did comment on her Patreon for whenever she's back. Played/Unplayed Sims in Newcrest are kinda cooked
in one of my save files, when i either try to edit my Newcrest played/unplayed sims either in gameplay mode or world editor mode, for some reason the loading screen just keeps loading and loading for so long (usually it takes like 3-5 seconds to load successfully), then a better exceptions mod page came out and it showed a UI exception scanning page thingy which took a long time to scan (idk how long it takes to be frank 💀) but when i checked out a (played) household in another world such as Forgotten Hollow, and entered cas through world editor mode, it loaded successfully for some reason uninstalled a bunch of UI mods, reinstalled some pose packs for cas (bcos im sure this only overrides the default trait animations and had nothing to do with UI) and deleted off a few small utility mods (including BE bcos im scared it might create more bugs), used a mccc setting to delete an outfit one of my sim bought and wore from a GTW mannequin in hopes that it works (bcos UI Exception scanner said smth like "in-game dialogs dont work in CAS, build buy and more", smth like that) but it still keeps on loading for a long time is newcrest somewhat broken or are my mods making newcrest uneditable, or are my newcrest sims broken?Solvedzoyamoon959 days agoNew Rookie48Views0likes1Comment
Social Events
I'm not sure if this is a bug, technical difficulty, or user error, but whenever I try to make a social event, nothing shows up. The command goes through, and the pop-up appears, but it's always just a plain white pop-up with the title being the only other thing that shows up. I can't select anything other than the "x" the exit out of the pop-up. This has been happening for a few months and again I'm not sure if it's just a me problem or not, but I'd really like to have a proper birthday party for my sims T.T Please help!!!!! Occults disappearing
So far I've only seen one other person have this issue. Today I tried making a fairy in CAS, and she saved to my gallery as a fairy. However, in game, she isn't a fairy at all. I go back into CAS and it turns out she got turned into a human again. No matter how many times I try to turn her back, she stays a human. Apparently this is happening with other occult types for the other person who is having this issue. Yes I am using mods (I assume it is a mod issue since no one else is struggling with this) and I updated them all from the recent patch. Even TM's BE scans say there's nothing wrong so I have no idea what mod is currently conflicting with occults. I just downloaded the new Enchanted By Nature pack, Spent a good 30 minutes making my sims & when I clicked on Innisgreen I was met with a white screen. I can't click on my sims.
Since the update. I have updated my game and updated my mods. I have removed localthumbcache.package and I took all my cc out and I have repaired my game and I still can't click on my sims. Strange crop top as underwear and can't be removed
I'm having a problem with a strange green and yellow crop top that I can't remove from my sims, all of them. Whether they are male, female or otherwise, for some reason, when I try and remove the garment in CAS, I can't remove it. It's like it's a permanent fixture on my sims. Has anyone else had this problem? This only began happening after the July 1st update, btw. I have a ton of mods and I use **bleep** as well. When i try to enter the game its telling me "Cannot start because the below file appears to be corruped. If this file is a mod please remove it and try again. If not , please repair or reinstall the game via origin" and the name of the file ( its a mod) , tho i have no file in this name, I have also tried to repair the game , it iד still not working and i can't open the game. Menus still broken after updating mods!
So I've updated my mods, used both curseforge to update, manually updated mods such as More CAS columns, UI Cheats, Mccc, etc and now have used the Sims 4 Mod Manager by GameTimeDev and Cannot seem to find why I am getting the UI issue. Inventory Bug Impacting Game
I just bought the Business and Hobbies expansion pack ON TOP of the newest update for the Sims 4, and as soon as I open my sims inventory it bugs out. I can't go to build mode, manage worlds, open certain tabs like the social bar and needs, and other things I'm sure. But it's completely fine UNTIL I open the inventory?? I know this is a CC problem. Ive already tried disabling it and restarted the game to see if the personal inventory menu still has the bug; its gone, and when I enable CC back on, it comes back. Again, CC Issue. Anyone know what could suddenly counteracting with the update/business and hobbies expansion? I will continue to work through my mod folder and figure it out if there's no answer. Some CAS icons messed up after update
For some reasons, some of the CAS icons are broken: body fat/muscle slider, "apply to all outfit" icon, everything is green on the background despite I'm not selecting it, and there's a thick white bar on some of the bottom part of the clothes thumbnail. Disabling mods, moving mods folder to another folder, and deleting localthumbcache.package don't help at all. Attachments were taken on a fresh install of the game without mods. What should I do?
