Unable to create any new saves
Since the June 30th patch I haven't been able to create any new saves in Sims 4. I can open to the gameplay menu and open my current saved files but anytime I start to create a new household in CAS the game freezes for a few seconds and then my mac restarts. I am able to open Create a Sim when in any household, and can move between households easily when playing with an established family. I recently downloaded Enchanted by Nature and Life & Death and was super keen to try out the new gameplay with a new save file. Hello, my girlfriend is experience frequent random crash, when she change location sometimes, the loading screen freeze and the game just silently crash. I was having issues with the game not loading, so I ended up re-downloading it. Seemed to work well at first, and the game plays well now, but none of my packs from before this are available. They say they're still installed, but won't let me uninstall/reinstall them to try to fix it that way. I tried repairing the game, but that didn't do anything either. I purchased a new pack since then, and it works fine, so it seems to be just the earlier ones. Any ideas?Solved61Views0likes3Comments
EA "play" button resetting
I have been having trouble trying to get into the game for the past 2 hours. Yesterday my game was fine. I tried pushing the play button in the EA app and it greys out normally. It usually takes a while for the actual game loading screen to pop up considering the amount of mods I have, however after I while I noticed that the button was once again blue. I pressed it again and after a while it did the same. I have been going through my mods trying to find out what the possible cause could be, deleted many, redownloaded, but still no luck. I have also tried to open the game through my external drive but am met with the same results. I have also tried repairing the game through the EA app many times. Sims 4 keeps crashing and closing unexpectedly
hey everyone! so basically, after the last update, my game keeps crashing. after playing for about 10 minutes (sometimes less, sometimes longer), the game randomly closes and i just get an alert from my computer that says "The Sims 4 Unexpectedly Shut Down". Sometimes it literally takes 5 minutes before randomly closing. I do play with mods, but I have checked various times with Better Exceptions and have updated all of them, so I don't think the problem comes from a corrupted mod. Also, other times when I have had a problem with outdated mods, it didn't randomly close, this is completely new. I have repaired the game, and I'm unsure if maybe it has to do with my computer instead of the game? I have done research about this problem, but nothing seems to work and I don't know what to do anymore. I followed the advice under another post where it said it helped to delete from the last exception files, and so I did, but it keeps crashing. Of course, this is extremely frustrating because the game simply closes and nothing gets saved, so I have to do everything all over again. I was hoping anybody could help me. okay so I downloaded sims4 through steam on a Samsung windows computer and bought the "get together" pack and got the holiday celebrations which is free. I just got a MacBook and transferred everything over to the Mac but the only problem is both of the packs keep saying "available on windows". I don't have steam on the MacBook since I knew steam doesn't support Mac and Im pretty sure I've done everything you can do lol. Whenever I play a specific household in a specific world, the game shuts down randomly after about an hour. While other households in the same world autosave, this one doesn't. Loading screen keeps getting stuck after i create a character making it impossible to save or play. Even a character that did end up saving disappeared later. I can't even quite game properly and am forced to "force quit" ever time i get stuck on that screen I have a 2025 MacBook air, latest model of game with no mods and three expansion packs. Hello my fellow simmers,im having a huge problem and I came here too see if anyone is having the same issue or found a solution,ive stopped playing my game for months and just recently decided to start back playing, I tried to launch sims4 and it was giving me the different color spinning wheel, which eventually caused me to "force close" the app, I've been trying to find solutions for weeks from deleting everything to reinstalling it and nothing is working, I'm at my Witts end and at this point I'm about to Strat pulling my hair out!!! can someone please help me. thank youSolved66Views0likes1Comment
Game keeps spinging! Need Help!
I have tried everything I can think of. updated macbook repair game uninstall and reinstall uninstall and reinstall EA games app fixed some settings to decrease graphics removed all mods and CC restarted computer my game just spins and spins, it was not like this 2 days ago. My game sometimes loads and allows me to play but mostly gets stuck on "Verifying 'The Sims 4'". I recently moved my game to an external hard drive to save storage on my Mac, and I think this is the root of the problem since it never happened before this. Is my only option to move the game back to my regular applications folder? I'm really hoping someone on here could help me. I noticed that my game wasn't letting my Sims use the bathroom, so I updated and repaired it. After I decided to buy two expansion packs, the new royalty one and City Living. After I downloaded these, the game wouldn't open at all. I removed all my mods, downloaded the game again after deleting it. I updated my MacBook and cleared storage; everything re-downloaded, but the game still won't launch. I just get the Spinning Beach Ball of Death. Someone mentioned having a different place where the game boots up, but I'm not sure what to do. I also don't know how to report that the game won't open at all, and I talked to AI for five minutes, and it just asked me the same questions over and over, making me explain myself. Cannot Rotate Camera or Edit Sim Body Parts in CAS w/ mouse After Update
Platform: Mac 26.3.1 (a) (25D771280a) Mods or Custom Content: None. I have never used mods or custom content. Game Version: 1.123.85.1220 Description: Since 5/6/26, my mouse controls in The Sims 4 have stopped functioning correctly on Mac. I can no longer drag or edit body parts in Create-a-Sim (CAS). I also cannot click and drag to rotate or tilt the camera normally. The mouse wheel only zooms in and out, and right-click only allows edge scrolling. Basic clicking and selecting still works, but most mouse movement controls no longer function. Before this started, the mouse worked perfectly fine. I primarily play using a mouse, and this issue is severely disrupting gameplay because there do not appear to be equivalent keyboard controls on Mac for editing Sims in CAS. The only keyboard controls I’ve found that still work are CMD + Up/Down to tilt and < or > to rotate. I have already repaired the game 4 separate times, bought and tested a completely new mouse, and confirmed that I have no mods or CC installed. Nothing has fixed the issue. I searched older threads and found many players reporting similar problems over the years, but I have not found an actual solution or official fix. I also have a video showing the problem, although I do not think I can upload it here. Hey, I can open the game, but when I try to load my saved game, it just gets stuck on the loading screen. I do not use custom content/mods. I tried moving the Sims 4 folder out of the EA folder to my desktop, and I was able to create and play a whole new game. I hadn't played for awhile and the EA wanting to make changes pop up kept showing up, where you have to login. And I pressed cancel not thinking much of it. But then I couldn't open the EA app, so I thought the culprit was my mods so I removed my mods and the EA app finally opened, but when I went offline to play the sims because I've been putting off the update that's also on the sims not just the EA app, my saves disapppeared and was telling me to start a new game. I'm having issues after updating my Sims. I was able to turn on the check mark for the script mods and cc but once I tried recopening the game I keep getting a popup basically saying my mods are bad and out of date. It didnt go away even when I only had updated mods on the folders. All the popular ones arent working, MCC, Basemental, Pandasama, **bleep**, and others. I recently moved my mods and cc to an external SSD but I dont think thats the issue because I was able to open the game once. I repaired it and that didnt do anything.
