Game crashing when trying to open household with "for rent" property
Tonight I updated my game and got the recent expansion pack and had several occasions where my game randomly crashed. This wasn't too bad, but there is one instance where I cannot open a family household that has a "for rent" property on the lot. I tried disabling all my mods and it still happened, I was able to separate and move all but 1 of the family members into a new household on a new lot and open the family, but still not open the household on the original lot that also has a for rent property on the lot. I did also did a full repair, etc and tried another family that also had a for rent property - the same issue happened. This seems to be linked to the recent game updates and new expansion.
CC issues (not sure if this is the right channel)
hiya! first time using the forum so hoping to get some help. none of my custom content is appearing in my game - i have tried to move the cc into a different folder, open and close my sims to enable mods again then move my cc back into the sims 4 mods folder yet it still is not showing up in my game. i have no clue what im doing wrong or if there is something with my game. please help!!😓
(PC) Game freezes randomly after the latest patch
Since the last patch that brought back pregnancy my game randomly freezes so bad I have to do a ctrl-alt-delete forced shutdown to get out of it. Then I can restart, play a little longer and suddenly it just stops again. Tried to wait out but it didn't unfreeze in over 30 minutes. I don't play with mods or cc, and never had this extreme kind of freezes before this latest patch. The last time it happened I didn't even get to start playing, the freeze happened while I was looking at the world screen. The other times it been in live mode and in build mode too.
Crashing/Blue Screen Error
I’ve spent 2 days scrolling through the forum, trying to see if there’s something wrong inside my pc, redownloading, repairing and nothing has helped the crashing. I’ve never had this issue running any game but after downloaded Enchanted by Nature sims in unplayable. I have no mods and put my settings lower to help. Are they planning on fixing this?Glitch in main menu and gameplay
Hello guys! I hope someone can help me! After the last update my game was working perfectly fine until like 4 days later that these lines started to show up everywhere: loading screens, main menu and gameplay. It's getting really annoying because I can't even play, the game closes itself after some time. I don't know if my graphics card is my problem, it's updated and my issue showed up days after the last game's update, not right after. I have a GeForce920M. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
San myshuno uptown district is crashing my game
I’m experiencing an issue where the entire Uptown district in San Myshuno crashes my game whenever I try to enter any of the lots. At first, I thought it might be a corrupted save, so I removed all mods and CC, cleared the cache, and repaired the game. When that didn’t solve it, I uninstalled the game completely, deleted The Sims 4 folder in my Documents (after backing up my Tray, Saves, and Mods), reinstalled the game, and tested everything on a new save file without importing anything. That process actually fixed the issue a few months ago, and I was able to access the broken lots again but now, after repeating the exact same steps, the issue has returned and won’t go away. Even in a fresh save with no content added and no mods enabled, Uptown immediately causes my game to crash or get stuck in an infinite loading screen. I also tried bulldozing and evicting the lots before entering them, but nothing helps. This is not limited to one save file. I’ve tested across multiple new saves, clean installs, and completely mod free setups and nothing.
Issue performing a clean Windows installation
My graphics driver seems to be throwing errors even after being updated using a clean installation as one of the Heroes in the bug forum pointed out after looking at my dxdiag. With that said, my pc came with Windows 10 and I bought a physical version of Windows 11. I wanted a fresh version of Windows without all the HP bloatware. So I go to do the installation and the pc sees the thumb drive just fine. The problem is that the drive that Windows is currently installed on, that I would normally format and put the clean installation on, does not show up as an option. I have researched on the internet and followed different things that people suggested but nothing works. I am old school when it comes to Windows and pc. This stuff did not used to be a problem but now there is some kind of security thing going on that I simply cannot figure out to complete my goal here. So what I ended up doing was using the key from the Windows 11 Pro and upgraded the preinstalled version of Windows and figured I would deal with it at a later time. That time has come so I am here asking if someone knows why the installer cannot see the main hard drive and advise me how to fix it. I feel like getting this done will help clear up my graphics driver throwing errors and make things smoother. Initially I set up this pc with a Windows account, because I wasn't really thinking about it. Once I realized what I had done and how they try to take over everything, I converted it to a local account and want it to remain that way. I say this because one of the steps the forum Hero recommended was doing something with something called DDU and one of the steps in that said it was required to sign into a Microsoft account and I am not going to do that if there is any way possible to accomplish these missions I need to without doing so. So if someone can help and save me from having to pay Best Buy to do it, I would really appreciate it. I understand what I am needing is not fully Sims 4 related so I am only asking this one and understand if what I need is too beyond scope. Thanks for your time reading this at any rate!
[EBN] Lots of crashing
I'm on PC. I removed my mods and deleted the Sims 4 folder to start fresh. Never used CC. My game has been crashing all over the place. I had a household with two sims: a normal sim and a fairy. When the normal sim was selected and went into CAS, the game would crash on exiting CAS. If I selected the fairy sim to use CAS, the game did not crash. However, the game still crashes randomly outside of that odd scenario. Since I don't have room on my laptop for everything, I had to install the Sims 4 on an external drive. I hope that's not the cause. I have all the packs.
2D trees around all worlds
After installing House Ranch pack I just got randomly 2D trees around all the worlds. I have no clue how to fix that. I tried repairing the game but it didn´t help. I though to maybe uninstall House Ranch but like I can´t find an option to just de-install that one pack. In fact online I found some forum where it said you can´t uninstall one back you need de-install the entire game.... I have many pack and would like to avoid that :(Lost all saves
Basically what the title says. I have absolutely nothing. It started completely over. I was recently deleting mods and I also moved where I kept the game in my files, so I don't know if any of that stuff could have deleted everything. I am open to any and all advice. I don't see anything in my recycling bin so I know it's not there. I am playing on a Windows 11 laptop and I play from stream.
Game crashes after loading new world lots
Looking for some help as this doesn't seem to be mod related. My game crashes to desktop after playing for a while in the new world, then try to load any lot other than the one I was playing. This happens if I try to load a new household from manage worlds, if I try to load into build mode from manage worlds, and even trying to drop a new build onto an existing lot from my library on the map screen. Sometimes it will work fine switching between households a few times, but I always get the crash at some point (I think the most I was able to do was 3 households before the crash). I have tested it over and over since yesterday. First thing I tried was to remove my mods folder and clear the cache files, still crash. I then removed my Sims4 folder and let the game generate a new one, it took longer but still crash after playing a bit. I removed the Sims4 folder again and did a game repair, and still crash, not sure what else to do at this point.
