Can't leave CAS after the latest update, PC 1.123.66.1030
I don't know if this counts as crashing or another term, but since the latest update (PC 1.123.66.1030), I cannot leave CAS when starting a new game. I click the "save and exit button, and the tick greys out as if it is loading, but nothing happens... I can exit out of the household portrait and go back to customising the family as per usual, but there is no point because I can't play with them anyway... This is why I'm unsure about tagging because it's technically not a crash and more of a bug, I guess. I have repaired the game using the EA app, cleared the cache files, etc., and I do not play with mods or CC. Please help :(
PLEASE HELP! game keeps crashing after exiting CAS
current game version: 1.121.372.1220 playing on a mac desktop that hasn’t been updated due to storage if that matters lol. tons of cc & mods, about 10,000 files/packages im new to playing on pc/mac & cc, mods etc. any mod thats free to download i pretty much have installed in my game lol. hi, im currently playing offline due to people saying the new update(s) caused issues so since the feb/march update i have been playing offline. but about 2 days ago i got a notification while playing saying to “log back in” because the ea app no longer recognizes me so i was forced to update the EA app. i, again, didn’t update the sims 4 game so i just continued playing offline. i was fine playing up until i’d say 11:30 pm april 17 to today (1 am currently). i was in CAS just fine, added a shirt to my sim then exited CAS just fine. then i downloaded chingyu’s 100 traits mod, loaded my game late yesterday, went into CAS & added some traits to the current household i was playing with. exited CAS where my game then crashed. i figured it was the chingyu mod (people said their game was working fine so i decided to try..) so i removed it & downloaded a mod from a different creator (traits mod by klimter & maplebell also morekisses mod by maplebell) did the same thing, went into CAS, left then crash. removed all of those new mods i downloaded & the same thing happened :( i really dread having to do the 50/50 mod especially now that i have over 10k files of mods & cc. if i do then so be it. but i genuinely don’t know what the issue is. i also got a LE each time i loaded into that save “Server\objects\components\fishing_location_component.py” i have no idea what that means. no broken mods were listed nor did it say why & what mod or cc caused it, if it did i again dont know how to read it. :( struggling trying to understand the LE texts & cant send these problems into any discord server due to “outdated game version” which is understandable, but again theres been issues with the recent update & i haven’t updated my mods since the feb or march update. if i need to send the lastcrash.txt, gameversion or any LE scripts please let me know! if anyone knows what causes this or why its crashing please help!!! any help would be appreciated!! thank u in advance. <3
My Sims 4 start problem solved!!
Remember when my Sims 4 game wouldn't start earlier? What I did was this: I just restarted my PC and then shut down and turned it back on. The "Manage Game Download" thing for the base game was now back to normal, so it worked! Thanks to the internet search I did. I consider that problem solved, in case this ever happens again (for now).
Fail to launch the game after the update
Yesterday's update broke my game, I can't even play my game now. I play with mods in my game, I know the whole thing what to do before updating with mods and after. I removed all my mods from my folder and deleted the old MC expection. and update my mods after the update. without the mod, I did the test run without any mods, everything looked fine then I exited the game without saving. I add back my mods in the game when I want to move my sims to a new house. I get a warning that says " can't load needed to relaunch the game". so I did but when I did the same thing I got the same warning so I removed my mods and repaired them without my mods. I checked the second time it was giving the same warning. I didn't know what to do I repaired my game and even restarted my computer and nothing is working. My game was fine before the update now I can't even play the game.
Can’t load into saves
Hello! When wanting to play my usual household today it was like I had started a new save file, having to choose the season again and not having any of my sims in any world. So I closed the game again and tried to play almost every saved game/households but none of them worked. I thought it might be a mod/cc problem but I took them all out of the game and it still didn’t work. I also took out all my saves, repaired the game multiple times, and put them back in again. At some point I couldn’t even load into a new world cus I was stuck in the loading screen. My game worked just fine yesterday and it updated in the morning today and that’s when the issue started. Did anyone have the same problem before and if yes what did you do to repair it? Or if anyone has some tips please let me know! Thank you beforehand ^^
Sims 4 saying I can’t place something in my own gallery saying I don’t own packs
I was playing my game last night and it crashed all of a sudden, which I haven’t had issues with in a long time. I reopened it and redid the stuff I had done and hit save but later it crashed again and then as I was trying to place a lot that I had saved in my gallery that I have used before a warning message pops up, saying I do not own pack items included in the lot and after hitting place anyway, nothing shows up and is doing the same again today. Has anyone else found a solution to this problem? I own all the packs I have gone in and double check to make sure they were all installed and they are. I just had this lot on my game until it crashed and now I’m saying I can’t put down any lot because I don’t know the items in the packs when I do. Any help is appreciated! I really don’t want to reinstall this entire game because I’m going to lose a lot of progressGame not loading after Windows update - Again 🤬
I'm sick of this. It's always, "disable your mods", etc. I don't have mods. I just want to play the game, not be a computer programmer. I always waste at least a month of my life trying to fix this and lose everything I created only to have to start again. I'm seriously sick of not being able to count on being able to play the Sims when I click on it.No sims in my game
I just started playing my game again but I kept getting "error sism4 already running". I was able to get the game to work by making a new account on my computer but then when i loaded up the game there are absolutely no sims in my game. I created a sim and put her on a lot and it said error restart game and after that I have no sim. She's not at her lot, there are no base game sims assigned lots. I can't even travel because I don't have any sims. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Sims4 Game keeps kicking me out to EA app
I don't know what is going on, but when I play one of my Sims in Ravenwood at their home. The game pauses and then kicks me out to the EAn App. It happened last night while playing my Sims couple and I finally gave up. I tried it again with Sims couple in Ravenwood at their home trying to build something it would freeze up and then kicks me out to the EA ap. And it could be from latest update, And if I have too, I'll just start all over again.
endless 'this game requires priveliges' loop
Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, it's my first forum post, but I genuinely have no idea how to fix this. For context, I play on PC through both steam and EA A few months ago, I think maybe around the end of last year? my game stopped opening and I ended up fixing it by setting all the sims 4 applications in my files to 'run this program as administrator' by right clicking on them, selecting 'properties', 'compatibility' and then clicking the checkmark. Since then my game had been able to open, just with an extra pop-up beforehand from the EA app saying 'this game requires priveliges', which I just had to click 'allow' on. Now, though, I'll click allow, the EA app will close and my steam will say the game stopped running, and then a couple seconds later the EA app will reopen automatically, have a 'preparing game' message, and then the 'game requires priveliges' thing pops up again. It continues in a loop forever. I'm not tech savvy at all, but until now I've been able to fix most of my major issues through a google search or two, but I haven't found anything for this. I've tried restarting my computer (both normally and a 'full' restart by pressing shift+shut down) and that hasn't worked. Neither my steam nor EA app have a repair button anywhere that I can find. I've also tried changing it back to not run as administrator, but I just get the same loop of the EA app opening, loading, and closing, just without the 'requires priveliges' pop up. I've tried removing all my mods, which did nothing. I followed the instructions on a website to check if my graphics drivers were up to date, which they are. so... yeah, I have no idea.Keyboard stops working while playing Sims 4
The keyboard on my Yoga 7 2-in-1 laptop stops working after ~5-10 minutes of gameplay in The Sims 4. The entire keyboard goes down, not just specific keys. My only solution right now is to close the game, shut the computer down, and restart everything. I have my in-game overlays disabled for both EA and Steam. I have no mods or CC installed. I play in windowed mode. I've deleted the files from my cache folder. I've repaired the game. My computer systems are up to date. I've run virus scans to ensure I'm not harboring any corrupt software. I've tried every recommendation I've seen posted and I still have this issue. What can I do to resolve this? Thank you!
Stuck at 85% repair, and game breaks after closing
So I have two issues that are happening simultaneously. Currently, I'm trying to repair my game and it keeps getting stuck at 85%. The something went wrong error pops up, and it cycles back to the start of the repair. I've tried the app recovery/restart app multiple times already, and I've even factory reset my laptop. It worked for about an hourish yesterday, with Mods, but I noticed that some of the items (DLC items, not CC) weren't showing up properly. They appeared in the catalog with a white and red X box. It keeps saying the client Delta build 8/0? error (both, 8 and 0) I've tried emptying out my Mods folder, reinstalling both EA and the game, and deleting the clientDB file. Idk what else to do so... Help 🫶
