Pack selection
I open menu up and pack selection isn't there it's only pack settings and it won't let me open that unless im in game and when i go in game to open it it only shows 2 of my packs and the rest are gone even though they are installed and active how do I get pack selection back so i can add them to my games? I have no modsSims 4 game packs, not working in game
Hello , I brought 3 packs on my EA, and also have asked EA themselves to help, and I still don’t have a resolution that’s worked. I have repaired my game, uninstalled it, and re installed it, but still nothing, it says on my EA under manage packs, they all say installed, I go on the game and go into marketplace and it says not installed? The world is in the game but it won’t let me click on the world because again it says not installed, does anybody know what I can do? Or what you did to make it work? I just want to play the game with the new content but I can’t. Any suggestions, please? Thank you. 😅🤦🏼♀️
Sims4 Game keeps kicking me out to EA app
I don't know what is going on, but when I play one of my Sims in Ravenwood at their home. The game pauses and then kicks me out to the EAn App. It happened last night while playing my Sims couple and I finally gave up. I tried it again with Sims couple in Ravenwood at their home trying to build something it would freeze up and then kicks me out to the EA ap. And it could be from latest update, And if I have too, I'll just start all over again.
endless 'this game requires priveliges' loop
Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, it's my first forum post, but I genuinely have no idea how to fix this. For context, I play on PC through both steam and EA A few months ago, I think maybe around the end of last year? my game stopped opening and I ended up fixing it by setting all the sims 4 applications in my files to 'run this program as administrator' by right clicking on them, selecting 'properties', 'compatibility' and then clicking the checkmark. Since then my game had been able to open, just with an extra pop-up beforehand from the EA app saying 'this game requires priveliges', which I just had to click 'allow' on. Now, though, I'll click allow, the EA app will close and my steam will say the game stopped running, and then a couple seconds later the EA app will reopen automatically, have a 'preparing game' message, and then the 'game requires priveliges' thing pops up again. It continues in a loop forever. I'm not tech savvy at all, but until now I've been able to fix most of my major issues through a google search or two, but I haven't found anything for this. I've tried restarting my computer (both normally and a 'full' restart by pressing shift+shut down) and that hasn't worked. Neither my steam nor EA app have a repair button anywhere that I can find. I've also tried changing it back to not run as administrator, but I just get the same loop of the EA app opening, loading, and closing, just without the 'requires priveliges' pop up. I've tried removing all my mods, which did nothing. I followed the instructions on a website to check if my graphics drivers were up to date, which they are. so... yeah, I have no idea.
Keyboard stops working while playing Sims 4
The keyboard on my Yoga 7 2-in-1 laptop stops working after ~5-10 minutes of gameplay in The Sims 4. The entire keyboard goes down, not just specific keys. My only solution right now is to close the game, shut the computer down, and restart everything. I have my in-game overlays disabled for both EA and Steam. I have no mods or CC installed. I play in windowed mode. I've deleted the files from my cache folder. I've repaired the game. My computer systems are up to date. I've run virus scans to ensure I'm not harboring any corrupt software. I've tried every recommendation I've seen posted and I still have this issue. What can I do to resolve this? Thank you!
Stuck at 85% repair, and game breaks after closing
So I have two issues that are happening simultaneously. Currently, I'm trying to repair my game and it keeps getting stuck at 85%. The something went wrong error pops up, and it cycles back to the start of the repair. I've tried the app recovery/restart app multiple times already, and I've even factory reset my laptop. It worked for about an hourish yesterday, with Mods, but I noticed that some of the items (DLC items, not CC) weren't showing up properly. They appeared in the catalog with a white and red X box. It keeps saying the client Delta build 8/0? error (both, 8 and 0) I've tried emptying out my Mods folder, reinstalling both EA and the game, and deleting the clientDB file. Idk what else to do so... Help 🫶
Corrupted Save
I have a save file that crashes the game back to the desktop whenever I try to load a household. It is a very large save file with about 800 sims (including NPCs) and does contain multiple very complex family trees. I also do rotational play in this save. One family in particular contains a situation where one sim has more than 25 children with 8 different partners, with most of those partners also having children with other partners. Monogamy is not a thing in my save! Also, many of my large families marry into other large families repeatedly. This was never a problem until the Royalty and Legacy patch. I am currently rebuilding the save file from scratch, and I am making some cuts and edits to reduce the number of sims and the complexity of family trees. Since I can still load the old save file as long as I don't load a household, I'm saving off my sims to the tray to be imported into the new save file. My concern is whether I'm just going to recreate the problem if I import all of my sims and recreate the incredibly complex family trees, especially for the one sim that had many partners. At time of writing, I've kept that one sim monogamous (with 13 children with his wife, and all of his grandchildren from them and their partners) during the rebuild and things seem to be okay. But, I'd like to eventually restore that one sim's children with other partners, 14 of them, and all of the grandchildren from them with other partners that I honestly can't count how many of them there are. I'm basically looking for some guidance into how far I can go to rebuild the save file, and specifically how complex I can make a family tree before I cause a problem. If too many children are a problem, or too many connections with other families are a problem, I need to know those limits. If those limits aren't intended, then I hope I can help with a patch. I am willing to provide a save file for analysis in addition to a LastCrash file, which I already know is a Stack Overflow error from my own analysis, and DxDiag should that be necessary. The save file will be a "Mods Removed" save file. I can explain more to the EA staffer that contacts me.
Camera will not rotate with ctrl + left/right arrows.
Hey y'all, I've run into a problem as of yesterday (11/3/25) with my camera controls. My left/right arrows will move me side to side, but when using the ctrl function, the camera will not rotate. My up/down arrows work just fine including using the ctrl function. It worked for a few moments upon initial start up but stopped. I have restarted my game multiple times, including my computer itself. I have tried toggling between the Sims 4/3 camera, inverted camera controls, and edge scrolling. I have mods installed yet tried to troubleshoot with those. I disabled mods, and removed the folder + deleted the local thumb cache. Nothing has worked. As of today (11/ 4/25) with the new update, the arrow keys still do not work. For extra context, I am on a laptop and do not use a USB mouse. My arrows work just fine for the Sims 3 but no longer work for the Sims 4. This has never been an issue before, so confused how this happen. Would very much appreciate a solution, please and thank you! :)
Ea repairing my sims 4 and updating issue help please
Hi I don't know who has had this issue but I'm a sims 4 player recently my sims moved to a hard drive correctly yet after that everytime I tried repairing it.It would finish and then start again and this would go on same with the update I don't know what to do I've now deleted ea and sims 4 and got it over again but I am scared I the future it happens againGame crashes when traveling/loading screens
My game has constantly been crashing when the worlds load or when I try to travel. I can't even play the game because when the house with my family in it tries to load, everything crashes and throws me out of the game. I'm getting extremely annoyed. I do not have any mods.
My game keeps randomly crashing and closing out completely.
This is the 3rd time it's happened despite repairing the game. I don't have mods or CC; just a bunch of packs. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm tired of having to rebuild or redo skill advances. Also my sims take FOREVER to start, end, and switch between tasks.
Game sound & music stuttering/looping
I'm having a big issue with my game and no idea how to fix it. No mods are involved. My game has a totally weird sound bug/glitch as soon as I start it. The music is looping in some parts (check the video) while also stuttering. Besides the sound the game is fully running fine, no issues with the gameplay at all. It can't be related to my pc specs, because the pc itself is great (check the picture I've put in, it shows my pc specs) Thing's I've tried so far: - Putting out the whole ''the sims 4'' folder, so that the game generates a new one. - REINSTALLING the game. - Putting the whole sims & EA app folder as exception for the antivirus. - updating every driver (NIVIDIA, windows sound drivers, etc). - Changing the in-game settings from full screen to windowed & to fullscreen-windowed. - Changing to directx9 (idk, I am hopeless) - repairing the game and just to say it again: no mods are in use. In the main menu it's the general music stuttering/looping, but when im in my save, even the sims sounds loop and stutter in parts, it's driving me crazy. As example when my sim say's ''sul sul!'' it will sometimes put another ''sul sul!'' right behind it. Same goes for baby crying and all kinds of other sounds. I have also tried to switch between multiple sound devices and it doesn't change a thing. I tried two different headasets + the monitor speaker. I also made sure that my main headset is set to default when I used it. please anyone help me, because I'm going crazy here :DWhen loading game screen freezes on blue and lags, will not open game
When I launch my game and open into my household, it freezes on a blue screen, and I can still click things but I can't see my sims doing anything and it lags so the options are always visible. There are also so long wait times before this i could get in within 10-15 seconds now it takes 2 minutes. See video below for an example please
game keep crashing
Hello! It’s been almost a week that my game is keep crashing. i have no mods or cc contents. It was working fine until the next day i open- first Ea app is taking so much time to open and then my game keep taking forever on “loading screen” I can’t play any household and when i click any of the worlds its just blank. Absolutely nothing. i deleted the whole thing Ea app and sims 4 twice. And its not sorted yet. Please help me.
Mouse clicking sometimes gets doubled while playing
I don't know what the problem could be why it started to get doubled clicked whenever I click something in the UI especially when I fast click them, restarting and changing anything on the graphics doesn't fix the issue. it's annoying during CAS and Build mode when you click it one time and it gets suddenly doubled.
