Sims 4 not launching due to EA error
Hi I have been trying to launch my sims 4 game for over a day now and nothing has worked. I have deleted files, deleted the game and EA and it comes up short. I have taken mods out and it still will not open. When I do it opens the game then closes it saying its a EA error and to try again later. I attached the photo of the message and my DXDIAG file. Any help would be very much appreciatedCan't invite in client for Apothecary career
I tried to have my sim take care of a client at home with the Naturopath career and I can't interact with the client. It runs the action for inviting them in, but I guess not fully because it refuses to let me do anything else. I tried turning off mods and resetting both sims, but nothing seems to help.game will not start at all
as the title says, my game won’t start. i have deleted and reinstalled twice, with no solution. my game is on an external HDD which posed no issues until recently. i do typically play with mods, though i took my mods folder out and didn’t put it back in after the reinstall, and it still won’t start. i play on steam, and so when i press play, it just gets stuck on “playing”, and when i tell it to stop, it gets stuck on “stopping”.
Inventory bug
Hi there, my sims 4 gameplay is bugged, I don't know how else to explain but when I load up a game and playing a household, if I press on my sim's inventory, it bugs out the entire game to where I have to reset my whole computer. For example, I could open up my sim's career thing, but once I click on inventory that's where everything gets messy. If I open build mode, it won't let me place, delete, or even go into live mode again, not to mention not letting me close the game. If anyone has the same issues please let me know!! I am greatly confused and would love to play the sims again!
Game Version txt file
I opened this file a while back only to see what looks like a bunch of odd characters, rather than it showing me the actual patch number my game is on. A search of this forum led me to this two year old thread Weird Game Version txt file | EA Forums - 11842837 that I didn't want to necro, so I thought I would start this one as this issue has cropped up again. I probably won't be the only one who has this issue. It doesn't interfere with the game running but it is a nuisance not to be able to actually read the patch number. It has always been a way for me to quickly check to be sure a patch installed and have the information available, if needed, for use in the bug forum. I believe this occurred on the patch released on or about 7/1/25. I had trouble getting the patch to install and when it was successful, the file changed from the patch number to the characters. I thought it might correct with future patches but that hasn't been the case. Since I can't be sure EA is aware of this change, at least for me, I hope this draws attention to it and it can be corrected.Sim Interaction Issue
Hello, I'm having an issue where my sims aren't completing their interactions with objects/other sims. I already tried with and without mods, and the problem persists. I also tried a clean folder with no success. Playing on PC / Most updated version of the game with all expansion packs. Pls help :(Game keeps crashing, Please help.
Hey peeps. After every possible fix myself and husband could find, my game keeps crashing every 10-20 mins, during gameplay in world and CAS. I have tried re-installing, repairing, re-installing EA app, updating BIOS, moving files, running in DirectX9, pc is up to date, win11 and running other games with no issues. I am at a total loss at what to do. I have tried everything. I don't have any mods or CC installed. I have 90 add-ons. but I have 32gb ddr4 ram, 8gb GTX 3060, AMDRyzen9 5950x. More than enough to run Sims4. Please help :D
Online Connection Required
I'm trying to claim my items from Nature Event that is currently going on and I keep getting an error message stating Online Connection Required and underneath it says, "please go online and save your Event status to receive the awards' Well I really hate to say this, I've been online all the time when playing this game. So what gives? Below is before I go into the game to play: This is in the game:Support not helping at all!!!!!
I have now tried for months to get a code so that my daughter can play Sims 4 on her EA account. The trouble is that she is under 14, so EA store just shows the "you have to get a code from your parent/guardian" message, and a link titled "Need help getting a code" the target of the link is a page describing how to redeem a code, not how to get one. I have reached out to support, but all I get are instructions to go check the forum, case closed! Here the solution I find is to contact support, that then sends me back to the forum, to find the solution that instructs me to contact support, that sends me back to the forum, cased closed, where I ... et infinitum.
Low FPS with good hardware
I have been with the FPS for a long time with two worlds once in Ciudad Enamorada in the neighborhood “Plaza Mariposa”. And now with the new expansion pack “Enchanted by Nature” in all three new neighborhoods. When I scroll out to see everything, the FPS goes down to below 40 - 50 FPS (In the worst case 30 FPS) and despite good hardware. This also applies to bulit lots. Hardware: Game Settings: Everything to the max (Ultra), but it can't be possible to have such a low FPS when zooming out on good hardware! Game-Version: 1.116.223.1030 (DirectX 11) Packs: I own all the packs. Other: Yes, the graphics driver is up to date. Yes, cache has been cleared. Yes, the game has been repaired UPDATE (11/07/2025): Tested in different worlds. The result was that the newer worlds are not optimized or the engine, whatever the problem is. It should be tackled! If you also have good hardware, then it's not up to you!Sims game wont start up further than the loading screen
Since updating my game yesterday for the new expension pack my game has nog worked. I start up the game, after a few minutes it shows the blue The Sims 4 screen and after that the dark blue screen with the green plumbob with the tips. All of a sudden the screen freezes and it does nothing. When I click the screen it only gives me the option to close my game or to wait till it responses. Since yesterday morning i have tried repairing the game multiple times, I have deleted the whole game and reinstalled it and nothing helps. I do play with Mods and (lots of) CC and I even tried taking this out but because I have so much CC this would take me hours each time. I'm hoping someone can help me or give me tips because I've been trying to fix it all weekend and I dont know what to do anymore :(Sims 4 crashes whole computer
I have been chasing a issue with the Sims 4 crashing my computer completely. I have tried multiple things and still zero fixes. It starts up and immediately crashes. I can close it with task manager but in the process it will crash task manager. Things I have already tried: Completely reinstalled windows, tried a brand new hard drive, updated bios on motherboard, updated graphics drivers to most current drivers, uninstalled an reinstalled game multiple times multiple ways, "repaired" game, moved EA folder out of documents, tried the non full screen fix, tried installing on separate hard drive, tried running as admin. Spruce Almighty missing
I summoned Spruce Almighty once from the tree in the world. Since then, I haven't been able to sumon him again- the option is greyed out and it says that he has already been summoned. I have no mods installed, and there's no summoning tree on my lot. I see him in my relationship panel, but there's no way to focus the camera on him...Event or new expansion pack crash?
Hi, I am currently trying to finish “Zew natury” event, but the quest to craft a chair to dining room is impossible to finish. No matter how many times I try to use the given carpenter’s table I cannot craft no furniture. The Sim starts to make it, but when it’s suppose to come done it never appears nor is event seeing that (even though sometimes I got a message that this object was crafted better than normally bla bla). It’s not a problem with lack of space, cause I tried to craft any furniture on fully empty plot and it also didn’t work. No matter if I debug the Sim, the table, change the save, restart the game, restart the computer, delete cache, reinstall the whole game and make a new family - I still have that issue. Other problem is that when I tried to fulfil the new aspiration (Fairy expansion pack) and gather food by clicking on grass I was gathering various stuff, but aspiration never acknowledged it. No matter how much food I found in the way game wanted me to, it still didn’t count. It’s really irritating, as I just bought the expansion pack and not only I can’t really have fun with it, but also can’t get items from the event. I have a video I can show where my Sim tries many times to make one chair and nothing cames.
Career Progression Error
My Sim is in the Oracle Career path and is at level 8 "Anonymous Ghost". She has all the skill to promote completed with the checks and she does the daily task before going to work each day. She keeps getting to excellent and then gets a raise, but never gets promoted. I have had her quit her job and rejoin the career and the same thing is happening. She has some of the aspiration perks that allow her to enter the career ahead and she was promoted from "Ghost" to Anonymous Ghost", but now she is stuck again. Any thoughts on if it is me or if it is a game issue? I have no mods and I play on a PC.
Natures Calling Rewards Missing
I’ve been playing the Nature’s Calling event and I’ve unlocked and claimed The Wooden Throne, however it does not show up on the wood working table (my sim has level 10) nor the buy catalogue. Now I can’t complete the event because I can’t craft The Wooden Throne. I seem to have gotten all the other event rewards but I was most excited about the outhouse. I have all the expansions except Enchanted by Nature and besides a few kits, all the other packs except Star Wars. When I unlocked the reward I was playing with TwistedMexi’s Better Build Buy mod buy I have since removed it from my game. I’ve also tried repairing my game through the EA App and I’ve had no luck.
