my game won't load
hi, im able to login to the game, create families and design homes but I cannot play my sims, once I click play the games takes so long to load to the point where my screensaver comes on, my screensaver only kicks in after 10 minutes which just shows how Long it takes the game to load but it doesn't , is there a possible issue with the game in general ?Game crashing/not loading in
Since the update on April 16 my game was letting me load in until Saturday. Since Saturday I have tried everything to fix it and whenever I hit resume playing it loads until it just kicks me out never let's me play. I don't understand the point in updates if they just ruin the game.Game Crashing After New Update (APRIL 16, 2026) PC Issues
Between March's update and the newest update on April 16, 2026 I have had nothing but issues with this game. I have over 14 thousand hours clocked into it. I've been playing with mods for 6+ years and have never had so many issues as there have been the last month or so. 1. I COMPLETELY had to wipe my entire game files after March's update, over 100 saves gone. Nothing I did would fix it and the game was entirely corrupt. 2. Cut to April, I re-installed the entire game and DLC I have, re-installed mods without issue and played fine for weeks with only gallery upload issues, requiring me to try and upload multiple times due to timing out issues. Minor problem, game is completely still playable. 3. April 16, new update is released. I exit the game (NO ISSUES, EVERYTHING WORKING), remove mods folder contents, clear caches and update. (check for mods that need to be updated during game update and update those as well before putting them back into mods folder and loading game) Try to enter game and reload into previous save, stuck on loading screen for 20 minutes. Force close the game. Remove mods again, and reload the game. Stuck in loading screen 20 minutes. Force close again. Restart the game and this time try to make back up of previous game, will not back up. Try and start a new save, make sim, try to save to keep playing, stuck on CAS screen with only option to stay in CAS or exit to main screen. Exit game completely. Go into game files and clear everything again. Repaired the game from the EA app, relaunched and attempted to make a new sim, got stuck in CAS again. Exit game, and repair game from EA App again, relauch, sim issue. Deleted game files entirely and un-insalled game. Re-installed game AGAIN, new files, no mods, crashes on start up, game entirely corrupt now even after beeing repaired another 3 times. At this point, I'm just going to keep the game deleted because I'm sick of fighitng with it. Waste of money and effort for something that just isn't enjoyable. I've loved this game for over 20 years, this is just disappointing to say the least.PC Game Crash
I play sims4 on Steam, I have for years. I have never had this problem of after creating a new game file and then creating a sim, I can't play. The game crashes every time I try to move the sim into a house to start game play. It backs me up to pick a world and starts an endless loop until it either crashes or I have to exit the game. I am not sure how to fix this. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, I have uninstalled all cc's and mods, anything that was not a part of the original game (including previously saved games) have all been deleted, the problem still stays.latest update- 17/4
hi, I'm trying to update my game after the latest update and its saying i need to update but when i try its saying that there isn't enough disk space on cache c. however i have cleared the cache and deleted almost everything and each time i try update it says a different amount of space i have . for example it needs 300 but it'll say 154 or 250 each time it'll change. will i have to delete more stuff or what? any help much appreciated.dlc content showing as owned but not loading
All my dlc content is now not showing as playable. Says not installed, but no option to install it (play through steam) this has only happened since I bought the new royal pack. Cache cleared, game uninstalled, steam and ea app both uninstalled and reinstall - game save still tells me to restart as packs not active, but content does not download. Help!
The game shuts down a few seconds after starting
Hello, The Sims4 crashes after a few seconds of playing in Family Mode. it started after the update 1.122.218.1030. I tried different methods to help myself and they didn't help. then I deleted the mods, reinstalled the game and it still didn't help. All my saves still broke, even those I didn't play with mods. Also, when I create a new family in a new save, the error persists. A week ago, after the game crashed, I got an error file, but now it doesn't appear. What else can I do?Black screen after loading screen.
The game acts like it's going to open normally but then it is just a completely black screen. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, deleted the localthumbfilescache, synced my one drive, renamed the Sims 4 document folder to sims 4 old. Oh and I cleared my mods folder I did that first. Nothing has made any difference the game is completely broken and I'm so frustrated I could cry.
No memory Crash Issue
I've tried possibly EVERYTHING to fix this issue. Legit going insane at this point ahhh, usually i wouldn't care but i'm in my sims mood again and I've spent a lot of money on this game as well. It will start up and then get to the loading screen and then will freeze once the sim symbol gets next to the S, I will hear the music for a bit and then it crashes and pops up with "Unable to start: The game has run out of memory. [223471fd:0d5ce4eb:000000c8:00000000]. If anyone could pass down some wisdom and help a fella out with ideas to me I would really appreciate it!
Royalty & Legacy Pack refuses to install content into game / "Deactivated"
Clearly from looking around there's been some kind of an ongoing issue with packs installing. I preordered Royalty & Legacy a while ago and have been busy. Finally I remembered it released and have been trying to play it to no avail. Pack shows as "Deactivated". Installed / bought it entirely through the EA app. The map shows up in Manage Worlds / Travel, but grayed out saying it'll be available once it installs. Don't see any content in CAS, though when using the filter and filtering by packs, it shows up as a grayed out option. Things I have tried after troubleshooting online, to no avail: -Have uninstalled and reinstalled the pack. -Have uninstalled and reinstalled the entirety of Sims 4. -Have tried clicking on it through the Marketplace using the "My Collections" method I've seen online (I don't know why this is suggested. I click on the pack and it's not like there's some kind of option to re-enable it, it just takes me to the in-game store page that tells me I already own it.) -Have run repair on The Sims 4 -Have naturally restarted my computer over the last week or so just casually hoping for / waiting for a patch that would fix a what's clearly a rampant problem on the developer side. Any fixes?
Gallery issues
I had 5-6 houses uploaded in the gallery. I haven't played the game for like 2-3 months but I started again recently. There are only two of my houses left in the gallery now and only one of them shows on my profile. When I try to upload another one, it shows as uploaded but I can't find it through the search engine or even on my profile. I tried to upload another house again and feature it on my profile and it worked... but it deleted one of the two houses that were already in the gallery. The repair option did nothing for me. No mods, no cc.
The Sims 4 language issue (game fully in English despite French settings)
Hello, I am experiencing a language issue with The Sims 4. My game is set to French, but the entire game appears in English (menus, texts, and gameplay elements). This issue persists even after updating and repairing the game. Could you please help me fix this problem? I have attached screenshots showing that my game is set to French, but appears in English in-game. Thank you in advance.
PLEASE HELP! game keeps crashing after exiting CAS
current game version: 1.121.372.1220 playing on a mac desktop that hasn’t been updated due to storage if that matters lol. tons of cc & mods, about 10,000 files/packages im new to playing on pc/mac & cc, mods etc. any mod thats free to download i pretty much have installed in my game lol. hi, im currently playing offline due to people saying the new update(s) caused issues so since the feb/march update i have been playing offline. but about 2 days ago i got a notification while playing saying to “log back in” because the ea app no longer recognizes me so i was forced to update the EA app. i, again, didn’t update the sims 4 game so i just continued playing offline. i was fine playing up until i’d say 11:30 pm april 17 to today (1 am currently). i was in CAS just fine, added a shirt to my sim then exited CAS just fine. then i downloaded chingyu’s 100 traits mod, loaded my game late yesterday, went into CAS & added some traits to the current household i was playing with. exited CAS where my game then crashed. i figured it was the chingyu mod (people said their game was working fine so i decided to try..) so i removed it & downloaded a mod from a different creator (traits mod by klimter & maplebell also morekisses mod by maplebell) did the same thing, went into CAS, left then crash. removed all of those new mods i downloaded & the same thing happened :( i really dread having to do the 50/50 mod especially now that i have over 10k files of mods & cc. if i do then so be it. but i genuinely don’t know what the issue is. i also got a LE each time i loaded into that save “Server\objects\components\fishing_location_component.py” i have no idea what that means. no broken mods were listed nor did it say why & what mod or cc caused it, if it did i again dont know how to read it. :( struggling trying to understand the LE texts & cant send these problems into any discord server due to “outdated game version” which is understandable, but again theres been issues with the recent update & i haven’t updated my mods since the feb or march update. if i need to send the lastcrash.txt, gameversion or any LE scripts please let me know! if anyone knows what causes this or why its crashing please help!!! any help would be appreciated!! thank u in advance. <3My Sims 4 start problem solved!!
Remember when my Sims 4 game wouldn't start earlier? What I did was this: I just restarted my PC and then shut down and turned it back on. The "Manage Game Download" thing for the base game was now back to normal, so it worked! Thanks to the internet search I did. I consider that problem solved, in case this ever happens again (for now).Fail to launch the game after the update
Yesterday's update broke my game, I can't even play my game now. I play with mods in my game, I know the whole thing what to do before updating with mods and after. I removed all my mods from my folder and deleted the old MC expection. and update my mods after the update. without the mod, I did the test run without any mods, everything looked fine then I exited the game without saving. I add back my mods in the game when I want to move my sims to a new house. I get a warning that says " can't load needed to relaunch the game". so I did but when I did the same thing I got the same warning so I removed my mods and repaired them without my mods. I checked the second time it was giving the same warning. I didn't know what to do I repaired my game and even restarted my computer and nothing is working. My game was fine before the update now I can't even play the game.
