Game crashes 5 seconds into opening
So my sims isn't letting me into the game, i can't even get into the loading screen. i removed my mods from their folder and everything and i still cannot get in. It will bring me to "The sims 4" but no further and it crashes within seconds. It did this when i updated it earlier today and opened it, without mods because i had 0 at the time, and it still crashed immediately. then i repaired it and removed the mods i had just gotten and tried to open and it crashed immediately again. I repaired it 3 times and it won't change, I already reinstalled it and it did not change a single thing. I also deleted cache files, tried to rename my sims folder to "the sims old" and launched the game and it did not create a new folder. I'm genuinely at a loss for what to do and this is extremely frustrating, I still don't have mods in my folder either and it doesn't work.
RTX 5060 not recognizing graphics card (GPU)
Hello, I’d like some help with The Sims 4 team. I recently changed my graphics card to an RTX 5060, and when I start the game I get a message saying that The Sims 4 is not compatible with my GPU. Is there any chance we could get a fix for this in the future?
Flashing screen while Sims 4 is open
Since the recent update, I have been unable to play the game. My screen blinks about every 5 seconds, like it's about to crash. I continued to play a set of family to see how long it would take for the game to really mess up. One of the family members couldn't eat. And took a while for the mother to pick up the baby and place her on the playmat.The game crashes after update 119!
Hello everyone. I can't launch the game after update 119 on November 4, 2025. It's been two days now. I've spent several hours troubleshooting the issue. The first issue was error code 22, and express delivery wouldn't load. The game would open the main menu, but when I tried to select a save or create a new one, it would display error 22 and ask me to return to the main menu and click "GAME," but there's no such option in the main menu. First, I uninstalled all mods. Only the vanilla version. I updated my drivers. I uninstalled EA APP and reinstalled it. I've restored the game files twice through EA APP. I moved the game folder to the desktop, but now the game starts from scratch and resets during the first loading screen (the SIMS 4). I tried to solve the error code 22 issue using the AI's suggestions: the AI says that error code 22 indicates unreadable files in the game folder. You need to make them editable. I tried doing this through File Explorer (right-click, properties, apply) and through the command line. The application doesn't save, and the command line doesn't understand the attrib -r/s/d command. Now the game won't even load to the main menu. Today, I learned on the Microsoft forum that all these "readable/unreadable files" actions don't affect the game at all. I read a lot of advice from the AI to move the game folder to the desktop to trick Windows 10, but the next time I launch the game, it creates a game folder with unreadable files—a vicious circle. Yes, a couple of times after I deleted the game, EA APP reported that the problems were on your end, not mine. But today, I haven't seen those messages either. Please help me figure this out. My only option is to uninstall the game and reinstall it. It's so frustrating, I've been using this laptop since 2019.White screen when i press windows button.
Recently i have been experiencing an annoying issue with my sims game freezing when i accidentally press the windows button and try to go back to it. Before i was able to switch tabs easily but I don't know what's going on now and its very frustrating when you spend minutes decorating, and accidentally press a button and now i have to restart my laptop to reboot the sims again without saving. PLEASE HELP!
Crashing
The game worked good after the update but now as soon as I select an action for my sim it crashes back to the EA home screen. If I save the game while my sims are at work or school, it sends everyone home when I start the game back up. It done this before the update as well. I hope now you can put out a fire because before it would not do anything even with fire fighters there nor would it allow you to replace the thing above the stove if it burned.
Game Crashes After 5 mins...
I updated on 11/ 4/ 2025 in hopes the problems would be fixed instead they began to get worse after the update. Can someone from EA please address the issues many simmers are clearly dealing with right now?! I uninstalled mods and created a new save just to see what the hype was about for this horrible update, and lo and behold, my game crashes into a white abyss with sim music still playing as if the game is still fine. I literally have only the base game and L&D EP, no mods active, so I am not understanding what is going on. Yes, I have always cleared the cache and localthumb, etc, all of the usual B.S. that needs to be done before opening the game, and I do not work for EA. I cannot keep troubleshooting a game I am not paid to fix! This is beyond the bottom line for EA, and seriously, I am over this!!! You guys honestly should just call it quits because I do.Game Crash
Unable to load saved games, or open a new save after the November 4 update. I have tried repairing the game via the EA app, have deleted cache files, and have even uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing is working and my game is unplayable. When trying to load a backup save, I’m given error code 22. When trying to open a new save, the game crashes. No mods or CC ever. My Sims 4 won't open "Failed to launch game"
Hey there, I’m really hoping for a hand with The Sims 4. I haven’t been able to open or play the game for over a month. Every time I try to launch, an error pops up that just says “Failed to open.” It won’t start no matter what I do. I’ve given it a solid go trying to fix things on my own. Here’s what I’ve done: Cleared cache files multiple times Removed all mods and custom content Reinstalled The Sims 4 from scratch - Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App launcher Used the Repair option in the EA App several times Restarted the computer and checked for updates Nothing seems to help, the game still won’t open. It’s getting pretty frustrating. I’ve invested a lot of time and money into this, and I miss being able to play. It used to run fine, and now it just won’t launch for no clear reason. Could someone help me figure out what’s going wrong or suggest anything else to try? I’d really appreciate any guidance you can offer, because I’m out of ideas.Game crashes when loading save game
After updating to the new 1.119.109.1020 update on 11/ 4/25, I am unable to open any save files. I have restarted my computer, repaired my game, opened a NEW save file - all resulting to an immediate game crash as soon as I go into play or live mode. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title
My Sims3 camera cannot be controlled
I need help, I have not been able to control my camera, it just starts moving on its own and will not stop. I have not been able to play for weeks. How do I stop the camera from moving on its own so I can play, I have tried ending the game and restarting multiple times but, nothing I have tried has worked, I would appreciate any advice/help that I can getUpdate not updating
I am just wondering if I am the only one who is having issues with the update. The update won't pop up anywhere, I have automatic updates turned on. I've restarted my game and computer several times in hopes of something popping up or it just updating on its own but nothing. I removed any mods I had (which is only 2) and I'm not sure how to fix this.
Packs not being detected
For the past couple of months my game has said that I do not own any of the packs that I have bought with my own money. When loading a save it says required packs and that they are not owned, however, when I click on a pack it will tell me that "I already own this pack". If I were to go start a new save it is all base game. All packs are listed as installed as well as in library but not showing up in game. I have cleared cache, deleted all mods and cc, even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all packs. I also tried doing support but the chat was ended randomly multiple times for no reason??? If anyone knows how to fix this or has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated! I'm frustrated that I haven't been able to play the game in months because of this when I have spent a lot of money on it.Never Ending Loading Screen, Crashes, and Lag
My Sims game has been unplayable for months now. Everytime I load the game I am stuck on the loading screen forever. If it loads, whenever I start my current save it either will crash or remain stuck in the loading screen. I started new save and the lag in cas was unbearable. I have deleted all of my cc, I have no mods, I have repaired my game many times, I have deleted my caches, cleared up space on my laptop, restarted my computer and nothing has been working.Lagging-crashing-not able to save
No mods No CC Yes expansion packs This issue started after the latest update. I noticed it as soon as I booted up the game when the store and sales notif screens popped up it lagged, I was able to exit out of them but then anything I tried to do in the home screen was severely delayed. I was able to exit the game and restart it, the sales notif screen didn't pop-up but I was able to actually go into my world and start playing. I played for about 5 minutes before it started lagging and then it froze, I tried to exit the game and it got stuck on the saving screen I tried to force close it, first with the windows button and exiting out in the hotbar-the screen turned white- and then with alt+f4 the screen stayed white, I wasn't able to minimize the application I had to force close by restarting my PC. I attempted to play again and same thing happened, same result, had to restart my PC again. Has anyone else had this issue?
