Can't Open Cheat Console
Picked up the Sims 4 after a 2-3 week break and I was away from my computer. When I try to open the cheat console by typing the sequence "ctrl+Shift+c" it opens my Microsoft Copilot. I did not make any shortcuts to Copilot. When that happened I closed out of Copilot and tried to back to the game, but it showed only a white screen and it was not being responsive. After restarting the PC I tried to open the Sims 4 again, but it would load and crash. Hi my game has been crashing ever since the June update ever time I load my sims 4 to new game, load game when I pick a season to play in and resume it crashes and I can’t play the game at all I deleted my localthumbache and CAs worked but went to go load it again and now that doesn’t even work I removed most of my mod and it still doesn’t work and I am on a yoga Lenovo laptop please help it’s been going on for weeks thank uSolved213Views1like10Comments
Library gone after Cloud Switch
Sul Sul! I recently had to transfer my game from one cloud to another (or my dad did it for me to be specific) and my save files and what i uploaded onto the gallery transferred over perfectly fine. However, anything I had simply saved to my library (since 2021) got deleted/is gone. My library only shows the „default“ lots and households that come preinstalled. Does anybody know how I can recover my library? I have a ton of unfinished builds & households on there that I‘m not keen on losing. Hi, I've recently reinstalled The Sims 4 on a new PC after not playing for a couple of years. Last time, when I wanted to add CC and Mods, I simply added the unzipped files to an existing Mods folder. This time, however, there's no Mods folder, so I added one. The Issue is that the Mods folder should be added under the Sims 4 folder, under the Electronic Arts folder. I can only find the Sims 4 folder under EA Games. It also doesn't auto-generate a "Resource.cfg" file inside the Mods folder. I've chatted with an EA advisor and repaired the game through the app to no avail. New Save has multiple versions
I opened a new save after the latest update and have noticed it seems to be saving differently now. I have the original slot - 00000002.save then it has - save.day.ver0, save.day.ver1 then it has - save.ver0 save.ver1, 2, 3, 4 like normal Then it goes to 00000002.save.week.ver0 It is playing absolutely perfectly, no problems at all. Is this the way new saves will save from now on? None of my older saves have saved this way and I have played at least one since the update. If yes, when I copy a save do I have to copy all the versions, not just the original plus the 4 versions like we used to do? No idea what the issue is😔 Initially, I was getting blue-screen once loading into a lot. Couldnt see anything at all. Tweaked my Ultra settings down to High Changed Full Screen to Windowed Playing on DirectX11, not 9 Laptop mode is off Those fixed the visual issues. Now, I'm stuck with a horrible performance lag that I haven't been able to chase down. I've removed CC, deleted all 'safe' cache pkgs, localthumnail, lastcrash, last exception... nothing is resolving the lag. I cant even pan the in-game camera. The only other cause I can think of is that I recently had 1k+ duplicate CC files thanks to Curseforge repeatedly claiming that all of my downloaded content was broken/needed be reinstalled. I combed through that mess, changed my hyper-organized CC folder structure to dump everything into folders labeled by Creator only (previously Creator, then Set), to eliminate the Dups. For context, I only build - Livemode is rarely ever used, so its nothing to do with CAS. I don't use Reshade, TOOL or any other mods aside from build/buy CC. Any help/advice would be appreciated - I've been all over Reddit and X... seems to be something to do with my specific game and the recent update; no one else seems to be reporting this. I'm on Alienware Aurora R11, so there's no reason I should be encountering this except that I've potentially somehow corrupted something in the EA folder. Contemplating a fresh/rebuilt game folder, but dreading the thought of slowly swapping all of my CC and Saves/Trays into the rebuild. There is no check-box to activate online features in game options - other. I am therefore unable to access the online gallery. I am aware of the age restriction being why the online option may not be showing, but I am 25 and my birthdate is correct on my account. but there is no green "Adult" label under my age meaning it not verified? I have been in contact with at least 7 EA help agents which no-one could help me. Game resetting completely!
hello has anyone had their entire game just reset and force them to start a whole new game?? I have no houses ive made, no sims., literally starting from scratch. Its happened on two different laptops, one has a ton of mods and one doesn't so i dont think it was the mods and it isnt the 30th yet and the update hasnt happened so im just angry and confused!! ive worked so long and hard in this game for it all just to delete makes me not want to play it anymore to be honest. (FPS) Game setting not applying
Fresh new saves don't have this problem, but my 4-year-old save (133.000 kB) is kind of struggling with frame rates. I know, i should probably just start a new save with that Legendary family. Easier said than done. Anyway, capping FPS can help with stutters. Right now, that save is flying back and forth between 50 and 200 fps. So in the settings i set it to 75. More than enough for the Sims. I also capped fps in the NVIDIA control panel. But the game is still exceeding 75 fps. I'm on an RTX 50 series so my game doesn't recognize that. Does that have to do with it ? Today, i uhm... reinstalled my entire game. Sigh. I thought it would help. But nope. All day I've been trying to play and my game will not stop crashing straight to desktop with no further information. It generally happens about 5-15mins after I start playing and is seemingly triggered by completely random things. I'm playing on a higher end pc that can run any other game completely fine and have already updated my drivers, cleared the cache, repaired the game through the EA app multiple times, and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game but the crashes persist. game wont launch on new laptop
I'm hoping someone has the answer to this. I bought a new laptop, will include all specs to this post as well as my DxDiag. The Sims 4 will not launch. it goes until just after the Sims 4 logo comes together and then it crashes. I have done everything I can think of. I have no mods or CC. brand new laptop, clean install. Expansion Pack is Owned but Won't Install
I own the Enchanted by Nature pack, and have for a while, but it will not install with the rest of my packs. I've chatted with support about this already, did an hour of troubleshooting, and they said it must be a bug and that they would escalate it to the team. That was over a week ago and I haven't even gotten a confirmation from anyone else about them looking into this. Here's the deal and what I troubleshooted: I play on PC I have content on both Steam and the EA app so they're integrated All other packs and content are successfully installed I verified file integrity on Steam and did the same for EA app Uninstalled and reinstalled all packs in the game, Enchanted isn't even able to be selected to install or uninstall (as seen in my photo attachment) I was instructed to locate the game's folder on my PC, move the Mods folder to my desktop, delete the localthumbcache.package file in the main Sims 4 folder, relaunched the game and reinstalled the packs, repaired the game again Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if they found a way to resolve it? If I have 1 16gb ddr5 ram stick in my pc is that enough or do I need another for Sims 4 with all packs and marketplace content. My royalty and legacy pack will not show up for 3-4 months on the sims 4 and I have done everything suggested. repaired the packs, redownloaded, restarted my computer, logged in and out of the account. It says it is owned, and shows up in my library but does not show up content wise once I open the game. Everything before the game in the library shows up as it should. So i bought a few dlcs/addons for the sims since it was on sale, all worked exept lovestruck it doesnt say download, only says In-game Content. I tried repairing trough steam for that is where i own the sims, i cleared the cache, restarted pc multible times and tried deleting and downloading again and again. Nothing works.
