Help! I can't find where to download
For Rent and Adventure Awaits are telling me that I neeed to download. These packs were a gift which I submitted a code for to get them. I don't remember seeing the download button for them when I entered code. I am not seeing anywhere that I can download them. Ingame Screen Glitching
Hello everyone, my Problem is that my ingame screen is Glitching. I already removed all my mods and cc, repaired the game, updated all my mods and tried all the previous Graphic settings that helped other people (Edge Smoother, Vertical Sync, Low settings). Trouble with packs through Steam and EA
I recently got a new gaming laptop and was attempting to download the game and all my DLC. I first tried downloading through EA app first and all my DLC purchased through them downloaded just fine but then my Steam purchases said deactivated. So I uninstalled and tried again but downloading on Steam first. Just for it to do the same thing but the opposite packs, so my EA DLC were showing as not installed even though they were. Since the last big updated (and the patch that followed), I have not been able to play any of my save files. At first. the said I needed For Rent, which was already downloaded and none of the neighborhoods were appearing from any of the DLC I purchased. After the patch, it said I need Get to Work, which was already downloaded and none of the neighborhoods were appearing. Please help! I recently installed the Expansion Pack - Enchnated by Nature but I can't access the world as it is greyed out. I recently switched to a Windows system. I had originally purchased DLCs on both EA and Steam. Now, when I check on EA, it shows that all the DLCs have been successfully downloaded, but the game only has the Steam DLCs. I was playing the game totally fine last night - no issues. I went in today and now am stuck on the loading screen. It plays the sound as if it has loaded and is going to enter the game, but instead it just stays on the loading screen. I do play with mods and CC, but was playing less than 12 hours ago without a problem. I deleted the localcache and that didn’t help. I restarted my computer and the game multiple times and this hasn’t helped. Same issue each time - unless there was some update that I didn’t see happen between last night and today I am totally lost on what could be wrong since the game loaded yesterday night without error - help!!Solved112Views0likes4Comments
Playing Sims 4 with mods on external hard drive 2026
Hi! I have never been on a forum before so I apologize for all the things I do wrong. I want to find out how the best way to play Sims 4 through an external hard drive works. Everything I can find is still using origin and players are saying it’s different. Can someone please tell me the correct hard drive to buy and how to actually do it? Missing packs after update
After the update, when I try to resume my game, it tells me that some packs are missing, but the list is blank. It also says that my game data is incomplete, and 56 build buy items have been removed. So, I'm playing my game into the wee hours of the morning. Everything's fine, but then I decide I'm going to click the enable script mods, etc, so I can use the UI mod because why not, right? Well, it goes downhill from there. My game loads but doesn't show me the menu, only a black screen. I try verifying files. I remove the mod. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Directory Junctions for Mods folder no longer functioning after recent update
Product: The Sims 4 Platform: PC / Windows 11 Reproducible: Yes, 100% of the time since the latest patch. Description: Prior to the most recent update, I utilized a Directory Junction (mklink /J) to host my 105GB Mods library on an external drive (E:) while linking it to the game directory on my system drive (C:). This is a standard practice for players managing limited internal storage. Since the update, the game no longer recognizes the linked folder. Upon launching, the "Viewed Custom Content" list is entirely empty. If the link is removed and a physical folder is created on the C: drive with the same mods, they load correctly. This indicates the game's file-system crawler is now ignoring symbolic links or failing to parse the directory depth through a junction. Impact: My system drive has less than 150GB of total space. Forcing a 105GB mod folder onto the C: drive leaves less than 45GB for Windows operations, page files, and game cache, significantly degrading system performance and making smooth gameplay impossible. This issue likely affects a large portion of the community who rely on external storage for high-capacity CC libraries. Requested Action: Please investigate why the game engine is no longer following directory junctions for the Mods and User Data folders. So long story short this account i had from 2013 and the email that I had for the account was non existent which was fine till about a year ago when the account wanted a verification code. Sims 4 worked fine I have 42 addon packs in the game and I played with mods on a pc with a 3070ti and a ryzen 5600x CPU with sufficient ram. I recently got support to change my email to my current one with a lot of back and forth managed to get the account back and have the order history and have access to the sims 4 with all the packs. I got the account back and sims 4 just crashes and I don't think its my setup I've got a 5080 and a intel i7 14000kf CPU with the same ram. I got onto mccc and they keep asking me if my packs are pirated and I said no I bought every pack on ea apart of one from loaded formally cdkeys and it was the life and death pack. Now I've started a new with a new sims 4 file countless repairs and every fix under the sun, including uninstalling and reinstalling I have no other fix that I can think of I have every pack installed and shown in my order history. I don't know what to do I'm going to link my better exceptions and my last crash file. As of yesterday, after working perfectly fine a few hours previous, my game has been unable to play. I don't know if there was an update or what. I'm not able to save households to my library, not even my personal ones that I edit/add to game (so I can't start a new save). It always times me out and tells me to check my internet connection (which is fine). Gallery doesn't load beyond red "/"'s and whenever I play and save, once I exit and return its reverted to its state prior to playing. So I can't do anything. I've restarted the game, the EA app, my computer, steam, verified integrity of files, cleared cache, and moved what few (inactive) mods I had leftover sitting in my game files out of there completely, which I had forgotten about. But none of it has changed anything, beyond the last two causing multiple portraits of sims in my library to now have that entirely blacked out glitch - though only in the overall household photo, not their personal ones that show their traits and stuff. I don't know what to do. I don't have mods or CC, and I haven't purchased any of the newest packs. So is it just a server issue that I have to wait out? So, if you use mods or cc, you know that when you first startup the game, it gives you a pop-up of the mods and cc in your game. When I hit the arrow to close that pop-up, instead of it going away and me being on the home screen, the home screen is in the background of a translucent dark color, and I am unable to click on anything. This is a picture of how it looks when I am stuck: I have had this happen before, and normally, I have to force the game shut, and when I reopen it, it's fine. But since I updated my game today, I can't get it to stop happening. These are the mods I have currently: I do normally use UI cheats, but I saw that it wasn't working as of today, so I removed it. I can't get into the game to turn off mods or turn off organized debug so I can remove better build buy (if it's what is causing the issue). As you can also see, there is a problem with my access to the marketplace. Instead of how it's supposed to look, it has an exclamation mark and says my access isn't connected, and to check my internet connection or try again later. I have had this problem since the marketplace launched, and I am not offline. With the last update, I went offline and waited until the mods I use were updated and then updated. The marketplace still didn't work, but I was able to play the game. I haven't been able to claim the free kit or see any of the new content because of this.Solved88Views0likes3Comments
