Purchased Royalty and Legacy Expansion Missing
Hello, The EA support chat bot is useless, so I'm hoping I can get some help here. I've seen other people posting about this, but no actual solutions. I purchased the Royalty and Legacy expansion on PC today through the official EA store. The EA Launcher shows the exp is purchased and installed. However none of the game content appears in game. I have no mods installed. I've tried restarting the game, the launcher, and my computer. I've also tried repairing the install. Nothing helps.Solved57Views0likes2Comments
Game crashes when clicking on New Game
It started crashing after the Feb 3 update, when I tried creating a new game. I haven't tried opening any of my existing save files because I'm afraid they'll get corrupted. First thing I did was remove all my mods and delete localthumbcache.package. When that didn't fix the issue, removed the entire Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder but that just created another issue. When I tried to run the game it crashed immediately and there was a pop-up that said "the game has run out of memory." I know for a fact that I have enough memory though. I then replaced the new Sims 4 folder with the old one and the game got to the main menu but still would crash when trying to create a new game. Also, idk if it's connected, but the thumbnails in the gallery aren't showing up (they just display a red cross). Please help :')Solved224Views1like18Comments
Sims 4 Royalty and Legacy Expansion content missing in-game
As you can see at the screenshot my game after updating it doesn't recognize the new expansion and the new kits - it even doesn't show the game in the menu. Unable to return to live mode from build/buy mode
Sul sul everyone! I have recently purchased the Royalty pack and ever since the Feb update, if I go into build/buy and try to return to live, my UI disappears and I cannot save my game (the options menu doesn't show up!)! So,since the update on february the 3rd my game just won’t start at all. I have tried everything,deleted ALL mods,all cc,uninstalling the game,repair it in the EA app multiple times,i have done everything that people online said could work,but nothing. I hoped it would work after the latest update on the 12th of february but still the exact same problem. It will at most get me to the start page of the game then just kick me out and the EA app just saying ”an error on our end,please try later” i even deleted my old saves and really nothing works. It’s soon been three weeks of this and not being able to play or fix the problem no matter what i do. Sul sul, pretty much as stated in the title. I got weak and bought the new EP bundle via a key seller. It explicitly states it is the bundle. When activating the key it also clearly stated it showed the bundle as well. However, I can only download the EP and it says I neither own the two kits nor the pre-order bonus content... Royalty & Legacy not showing through in-game store
The new Royalty and Legacy expansion doesn't appear in the list of available packs within the game; it's as if the last pack added was still Adventure Awaits, even though the Tea Party Kit is visible and they were added together. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it? My game is an EA original, it's updated and without mods. Hi. After the February 12 hotfix my game stopped launching properly. It gets stuck on the loading screen with the green plumbob and never loads further. Important: the game worked normally just a few hours before the hotfix. What I tested: - Removed all mods - Deleted localthumbcache and cache folders - Repaired the game through Steam - Deleted GameVersion.txt - Tried launching with a clean user folder The problem still persists. Crashes even with ALL troubleshooting done
Hi everyone! I’m experiencing persistent silent crashes in The Sims 4 on PC and and I’m trying to understand if others are experiencing the same issue. My system is fully updated and relatively new: Windows 11, Ryzen 5 8500G with Radeon 740M (integrated graphics), 32GB DDR5 RAM (2x16 dual-channel), 1TB NVMe SSD, EA App. The game crashes straight to desktop with no error message or LastException. This happens with and without mods/CC, in both DX11 and forced DX9, even in brand new saves. I've already completed all standard troubleshooting steps multiple times. Crashes still happen. Based on all this, it doesn’t seem like a hardware fault or something misconfigured on my end. It feels more like a compatibility or engine-level issue involving Windows 11 and AMD integrated graphics. (?) If this is actually a compatibility problem with AMD, does anyone know which driver version is more stable with sims4 and if thats not the issue what can it be? Hi there, I've been having this issue for several months now--I can start up and run the game, load a save, and play from anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour before the game will suddenly crash to desktop with no warning and no error code or pop-ups. The game is correctly recognising my graphics card, and is fully updated. I'm running both the EA App and the game as administration, I've tried clearing the cache and repairing the game SO many times. I've updated all my mods and run 50/50 checks on my mods folder over and over again, and I can't seem to pin down a single thing that's causing the issue. A laptop to run TS4 with all packs at moderate/high graphics
I’m in need of a gaming laptop to play the sims 4 with all of the packs (I don’t have any past businesses and hobbies, and only 3 kits, but I’d like the capability to run the game with them). I had previously played on a 2019 MacBook Pro, and at the lowest graphic settings I needed a cooling pad for the game to function at quite a bad quality level. Loading times and bugs were the biggest issue. That laptop has since passed away, and so I need a new one. The MacBook was a gift, and this will by my first time in a very long time owning a windows device. I also have no detailed ballpark for price but I’m willing to spend at least £1,000. so, moderate/high graphics, all packs, runs smooth enough. Doesn’t overheat. I’m not overly bothered by battery as I will likely not travel with it much. After update Graphics card not recognized
So i updated my game yesterday, i dont have mods installed and my game looks verry jancky. The settings are also not permanent anymore. i have this pop up. (unrecognized video card) I have played on this laptop before a lot with the same amound of DLC's. So i havent upgrated recently. i have in the nivdia app however upgraded it. this is what i get if i go in to the logs i downloaded the file from another thread but that didnt help. i have also reinstaled my game to try and get rid of this issue. This is my first time posting on here so i dont know where and how i should really post. i hope someone can help me. After the last update all my stuff is gone. All my saved games, all my builds, all my sims, all the custom content and mods, photos I took .... all those memories, GONE. It'll be like starting over from scratch, IF I can get myself to continue. Applied options not Saving (Option.ini trick did not work)
(Post 1.121.342.1030 Update) I booted up my game for the first time since the update, and I got the SDX glitch, which is usually an easy fix. But when it came to turning off the automatic download setting, I'd restart my game and the setting had reverted itself. I ve uninstalled the game 6 times already and installed it back, 5 times on my ssd and now on the hdd and still the same problem. I have no mods, I ve tried to do everything I found in the forum to fix it with the remove files etc, move folder and etc etc. Nothing works. Why everytime there is an update I have to do something to fix the same... Im tired of it, as every other game, I don't have to fix anything to play it... I use w11, no OneDrive and Steam with -dx11 forced, tried to remove it , launch= nothing, tried to change to -dx9, launch it= nothing. Tried to to de EA recovery repair thingy app and still nothing+ verify integrity of files in Steam still nothing. And no it's not a software problem... gpu4060ti, ram 32gb , cpu r7 5700g and 1TB ssd and hdd. Space left on the hdd I've installed now it's 781gb and on the ssd I have it installed previously was 80gb. I know it's suggested to have at least 25-30gb space left where you have the game installed, still nothing :), I'm so tired to spend hours to rebuild everything I had everytime there is an update and still waiting days to be ABLE to play the game.Solved285Views0likes1CommentGame keeps zooming in after update
My game keeps zooming in on objects or Sims after the last update. Even when I open a new game, I'm still getting the zoom issue when creating a family. When I start the game, I notice my mouse cursor moving to the top left of the screen. When I move the mouse, it moves back to the top left. This has been happening since the AE app launched. Packs Downloading even when told not to
Hello! I went and tried to redownload the Sims 4 Basegame after a little hiatus and every time I start the game, all of the packs I own (all of them up 'til lovestruck plus a few later) start to download. I have a laptop I'm using to game right now and i don't have the room for all my packs after my previous gaming laptop died. I have turned off Auto updates, I have deleted the que, I've checked all my setting for some sort of reason for everything downloading, but I've come upon a blank. Every time I start to play, packs download even with the "pause download during gameplay" setting turned on. I'm starting to get quite irritated. EA app issues
Hi! After the newest The Sims 4 update the I wasn't able to play for some reason, so I was thinking that maybe re-installing the app would do it for me, but I have no idea what happened. The app appears to be gone, but it's still in the list of my apps on my computer. And I can't uninstall it! And I can't install it either, says that I already have the app, which I don't. I have contacted Lenovo and asked for help, but they thought it was an EA issue. Currently, The Sims is a huge lifeline for me, as my life is total and utter **bleep** right now. I have been having this problem for about two days now. When i open my game i get a message that says: In english: "The contents of your user data folder were created with a newer version of The Sims 4 and therefore cannot be loaded. Please update this game via Origin in order to play."
