Re: promo code garden warfare II
I remember when Fable 3 Came out on X-Box Marketplace? (I dunno if you know about this)... They were so assured (Microsoft was) that they could be a Steam Style prorietor of game content, that when they decided to buckle... nobody could even purchase Fable 3 anymore.
When I saw Origin on Sims 3, I felt it was the same thing. Since Origin is still going... I ponder. I wish there wouldn't be little clunks and crud like an impass through a purchase. =/ I don't think it's EA's fault entirely... maintaining a server for something isn't really an easy deal. While it seems simplistic enough (To just host a server on a computer and reset the computer every day), it doesn't work like that for big companies.
But when you're a big mult-million or even billion dollar company, you might overlook things like your content hosting third party service like Origin. I do not claim to understand the workings of the business world, but an oversight such as faulty maintenance on such a thing could very well be the cause of this. =/ And if it's causing a defecit in sales well... I'd reprimand the one in charge of the whole division and force him to ensure cards get charged everyday with no error darn it.
