Cannot connect to servers

I got home at 6:30 PM (PST), downloaded the update and have not been able to connect to servers. I got as far as the giddy park screen but that was it. I looked up the issue and one of the results said I was possibly suspended or banned, which of course made my heart sink, even though I don't think I have done anything worthy of being banned or suspended. I decided to post on Reddit to see if anyone was having the same issues. Multiple users said they were also experiencing connection issues and one user said the servers were down for maintenance, even though I saw nothing about it on Twitter or on Reddit. Are the servers down as of now or am I going to have to try to get my account unsuspended for something I'm not even sure I did or am aware of? I always tend to suspect the worse. Any info would be greatly appreciated

    The issue seems to have fixed itself, I tried again and I was able to connect. Not sure what was wrong, my internet connection was perfectly fine so I cannot find a source of the issue. Just glad I can get back on now. Thank you for your services EA!

    Same problem. I was able to play earlier for a bit but once I returned to Giddy Park I got booted. I have tried the steps mentioned along with others and cannot connect to servers.

    @FootSoldier9908 Are you on PC? I'm on PC and can't even get into the game and get booted back to the screen where the plant and zombie fight. What's your current status?

    I'm not able to get past the giddy park loading screen, before it throws me out saying I can't connect to network/ ea server. Very very frustrating.

    Did your screen also say "See EA.com/unable-to-connect for additional information."

    I did that and that's when I saw one of the results was "Do you think you account was banned or suspended?" Which of course scared me. That's what I'm worried about most. I don't think I did anything wrong but I can't be 100% sure.

    Thank you for the update. If this returns it's definitely worth noting if anything changed, such as someone joining your network or any hardware changes.

    Well, its fixed but its not perfect. It now takes 2-3 tries to connect, and I've checked everything. PC is hard-wired to the modem, modem is fully operational (and only about 2 months old so brand new) and my anti-virus is not interfering with anything whatsoever. Annoying but I can make due with it.
