Game crashes when opening the chat

I changed to a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra recently. Since then the game frequently crashes when I open the chat even leading to the whole phone freezing up, making a forced restart of the device necessary which is extremely irritating. The game is updated to the newest version and I tried to clear the cache and even reinstalling it completely but the issue persists. Due to the nature of the problem making a screenshot is impossible since the device doesn't react anymore. Is this a known issue? I would appreciate it if anyone could help me fix this issue.
