Re: Child Account with Battlefront

They said something about me taking a picture of 2 forms of government ID and sending it to them and they could work something out.  I thought that was crazy.  They told me to contact Xbox, but Xbox couldn't help me.  My son is 10, but this is way tamer than Destiny or other games that we play together online.  I'm furious on this one.  We should be able to give permission

  • It has to do with the Microsoft account you set up for your child originally.  It checks their birthday there.  The only way to change it and get it to work is to change your childs birthday to make them older, unless EA fixes it.  You need to log into your Microsoft account, go to privacy and security, then change child permissions.  Under that, you can edit your childs birthday to make them old enough to play.  If you want.  Then make sure that your childs ea account (origin client) is linked to your xbox live account under your childs name and you are good to go....

Is this a possible work around?  create xbox and ea accounts showing ages 13 and up to cover the legal issues EA has to deal with but then setup controls in xbox 1 where they can only play with friends that as a parent you have authorized them to see....this avoids the general population, profanity, inappropriate avatars etc.  I am a total novice at this so any ideas if this will this work?
