Re: The next piece of the puzzle of neighborville

I would have definitely bought this one. the only PvZ games I haven't played are that Facebook game and the Chinese version of PvZ2, I even have the PvZ Risk board game!

This also explains why the shooting and moving in BfN were so off for a shooter, and why they had to apply band aids to it to get it to any degree of usability, and why even today it feels a bit wrong compared to the GW games and the plethora of other shooters I own.

They should have made GW3 and this adventure game as 2 separate products and put full effort on both instead of cutting it and trying to salvage what was left for a new shooter. BfN does have some cool moments (like washy and I enjoy most of the boss fights), but when I see this and think what we could have gotten vs. what we did get, it's rather depressing.

@Iron_Guard8 It also explains a lot of why the franchise started slowing down as a whole after 2017 since that was going to be the games release year.

BFN feels like its held together with glue and duct tape at times. We already knew that it was from the remains of a pve game back around its release but seeing what it was and how far along it was in development just makes it more disappointing. It also makes me wonder just how much was taken from project hot tub since it has the bfn plant designs but better and the 80's action hero hair and clothes being Eddie's.

It makes me wonder if any of the pve bosses in bfn were concepts for the game.

I would've probably loved this game after we got heroes and gw2 a year earlier. Imo if this came out and didn't get meddled with pvz would probably still be on a high note right now and it makes me wonder what else we still don't know behind the scenes since ign confirmed it was a former dev that told them about this and EA never gave them an official response yet. Also the fact they called bfn another gw, its true but it just reminds me of all the people trying to say it wasn't when it came out lol.

Funny how the last two battlefields have underperformed yet their games still get released even if they're a mess. Not hating battlefield but i find it vindictive of where EA thinks the money should go.

Sadly it seems it will forever remain the road not taken.

Well time to find something else to post about or go into frustrated wait again for the next three months.

Shame to see another Plants vs Zombies game either outright cancelled or losing support (in this case, outright cancelled). It's never great to hear about a new game that is in development, only for it to be cancelled for seemingly no good reason. Because the Star Wars game was cancelled, could this game be worked on again? Probably not of course, but I would prefer that option. I have this same question for the cancellation of Battle for Neighborville updates, as it was cancelled so early, could Garden Warfare 2 gain more support again as it was more popular, or could another shooter be made? Again, probably not, although I know what I would prefer of course.

It has been such a long time since the Plants vs Zombies franchise has headed in a positive direction. Apparently, another beta for Plants vs Zombies 3 was released recently, although it already seems like the feedback is a bit disappointing toward the game. I am really rooting for Plants vs Zombies 3, as this is the last chance I see this franchise heading in a positive direction for a long time to come. I want Plants vs Zombies 3 to be successful, to bring a turnaround for this franchise. It seems like the game has a lot of potential, although it has not been met yet due to the harsh criticism that I have seen the game receive. At least PvZ3 has not been cancelled currently!

The future of this franchise is yet to be determined for sure.
