nVidia Surround Problems

Hi guys,

Maybe you can help me with this issue I have. Battlefront runs fine in 1920x1080 in windowed. Anything else does not work. I run on a single GTX 960 4GB and the system I am using is about 5 weeks old. This issue hadn’t started until about 3 weeks ago. At first, it only had the issue while using Skype. Now the issue is system wide. I will include a screenshot to show you what I mean just so you have a visual. The GPU has an overclock on it but even before I overclocked, Battlefront still had this issue. Even if I turn off the overclock, the issue still persists. I have reinstalled Battlefront as well, but it was nothing but a waste of time as it did not help either. It displays properly in Windowed Borderless, but I suffer from major frame rate loss even on the menu.

The first picture is what it looks like single monitor.(Keep in mind it only work in 1920x1080 in windowed mode)

The second picture is what Surround looks like in full screen. (4080x768)

95% percent of the time, this issue happens. Only 3-4 time during these past  month and a half  has the game displayed on all three screens correctly. The game has the June update and the 960 has the latest NVidia drivers from today (6/10/2016 6:50PM EST)

Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
8GB DDR4 2800MHz
GTX 960 4GB - OC - 1.2GHz
Intel Core i5-6600K @ 4.6GHz
3x Dell E2211H Monitors 5760x1080 (I play at 4080x768 for better FPS)

Game Settings:
Everything set at High gives me about 50-70FPS in Surround

3x Dell E2211H Monitors 5760x1080 (I play at 4080x768 for better FPS)-They all have to be the same resolution for it to work properly, the same refresh rate and have the same sync polarity, mate.😉

The way Nvidia Surround works is it essentially turns all 3 monitors into one big monitor and uses one resolution to apply across them all.

I do not think of it as right-center-left anymore in Surround. You need to view it as just one big monitor.

For Surround 2D, you can use different monitors sizes. However, each monitor must display the same resolution - and they will default to the lowest common denominator.

  • Hi @yahel_1,

Each of the E2211H monitors are 1080p60 monitors. When spanned together they are set at 5760x1080. Since Battlefront likes to steal some resources and I prefer to have High level graphics on any game I play, I scale down my game settings to 4080x768. I am very familiar with Nvidia Surround as this is my latest of 3 builds I have built to use surround. For some reason Battlefront has some sort of "compatibility" or what have you issue. When I called EA a month ago, they said that when they pushed the June Patch out, my problem should be solved. Funny how no update is out yet and it's June 12th.  I know the problem does not lie in my graphics card or drivers because every other game I have (CS:GO, Garry's Mod, War Thunder, Rocket League, etc.) work perfectly in surround.

Hope this kinda cleared things up!

    Thanks
