Game - killing bug - in Cal's memory, Force Slow does NOT stop the fan.

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Summarize your bug On Cal's Memory, of the last time he meets his Master before Order 66 is given. After you engage with the Clone Troopers and get into a vent, there is a big fan in front of you - which according to the YouTube videos I watched on the scene, you should normally get past using Force Slow. However, Force Slow does NOT work on the fan. There is no way of getting past the fan, and also no way to exit the memory.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Cal's memory of final meeting with Master before Darth Sidious gives Order 66 and accordingly the Clone Troopers turn on them.
What happens when the bug occurs? Can't get past the fan, also can't exit the memory. This bug has killed my game.
What do you expect to see? Force Slow should stop the fan, and I should be able to continue.

Summarize your bug When on Dathomir, you enter Cals Memory when he meets his Master for the final time, before Sidious issues Order 66. After the corridors, you enter an air vent above two clone troopers. There is a big fan in front of you. In the YouTube videos I watched on this scene, you're supposed to use Force Slow to get past it. However, in my case, the fan is unaffected by Force Slow. Tried restarting the game, no joy.

What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot continue the game, also cannot escape from the memory.
What do you expect to see? Force Slow should stop the fan, as seen in YouTube videos of this scene.

  • I'm having this problem on another scene.  Does EA ever respond to any of these, or ever bother fixing their buggy software?

  • Does the fan glow blue like it’s supposed to? If not, have you tried adjusting where you’re standing when you try to Force-Slow the fan? I’ve experienced a similar instance where on Bogano, there’s a bridge you have to Force-Push over to cross it, and it was extremely tricky to aim Cal correctly to get the blue shade which made it possible to do so. It would be a case where I could be looking directly at it, and it wouldn’t register, and instead I would have to turn a tiny bit to the right/left, which made the bridge flash blue for a millisecond. Eventually, I ended up running around the bridge like a lunatic and spamming Force-Push until I managed to hit it in the tiny window of opportunity.

Hope this helps, although if it glows blue just fine then this probably won’t help.

  • Playing on the ps4. I'm pretty early into this game and I've reached a point where I'm completely stuck. I believe I'm supposed to hit R1 to use "force slow" and slow the fan. It doesn't work. I've watched multiple walk-thru videos and it appears the fan should turn blue when I approach it. It doesn't. I've tried remapping buttons. Doesn't work. Installed the updates. Doesn't work. Here's a video: https://streamable.com/uws3s

About ready to send this garbage back for a refund.

  • my wife is having the same problem, generally and unpredictably, with Slow.  not just with fans, but that's generally where it's most crucial that the effect last more than a split-second.  the targets are always showing blue, she faces them properly, and more than half of the time, the effect doesn't last at all long enough to get past the obstacle - one second at most, usually more like 1/5 of a second.  the power is fully upgraded and it doesn't matter whether she taps or holds the trigger (this is on Xbox with default controls).
