Try to switch off auto supersampling and set your own supersampling in SteamVR

@deniskamir Thanks for the tip. Performance is improved, but there are still those hitches/stuttters every few seconds. The game in Non-VR 2D is perfectly smooth with everything on Ultra. This isn't, at all.
