Re: Did the game meet your expectations?

I logged on today after 5 weeks of having no games, and thinking of every expletive under the sun to call the developers. After 7.5mins I got one game. One single fracking game, before it timed out again,and again. So now, timing out after several 10 minute searches in Quick Match and cannot get another one, and 1066 error again! What the frack is the definition of “Quick” for EA? Cannot get any fleet battles either, cannot fracking play! Are they * kidding!?! Operation 2 is live for no-one in the Southern Hemisphere you stupid ar$ehats! Fix the fracking game! * dumbarses!  Update 3.0 fixed fracking NOTHING...but at least there are some more cosmetics I can do nothing with. I have never been so disappointed and felt so let down by any game’s developers/programmers as much as this. See attached pics for proof!

It totally exceeded my expectations and I'm loving it!!  In VR on my Oculus Rift it's one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life and I feel like I am living the dreams of my 8 year old self who saw Star Wars for the first time in 1977.  It's literally a dream come true!  Why?

1.  They totally nailed the atmosphere, look and feel of the original Star Wars trilogy - you can tell a lot of love went into the game from the development team.

2.  They captured the incredible speed of motion that made Star Wars so jaw dropping back in 1977.  No simulator I have ever played (not Elite, DCS, FS2020 or any other air or space sim) captures this sense of speed present in Squadrons.  Racing along the side of a capital ship while dogfighting or evading enemy fire is mind blowing in VR!

3.  Performance in the Oculus Rift with my I7-7700 GTX1080 and 32Gb Ram is superbly smooth and optimised.

What could be better?

1.  The ability to fly the Millenium Falcon!

2.  The ability to select individual missions from the story to enable you to go back on a higher difficulty level and practice

This game has made me want to invest in a HP Reverb G2 and RTX3080 just to see even more eye-candy!!  Trouble is there aren't any!
