I'm playing on PC - Steam version.
Is the game supposed to prompt the User Agreement and Cookies Agreement every time you load the game? It also runs the initial settings and plays the Fallen order story clip every time.
If this is a bug, is there a fix?
The problem seemed to go away after reaching the first open world planet. Really strange.
@RaBiDM🤭sE No, this isn't normal. Are you able to save your progress and resume where you left off in the next play session? I'm wondering whether some of your user data isn't being saved. Please also make sure your antivirus has exceptions for the game and the EA App (EADesktop.exe)—even though you use Steam, the App would still be running in the background.

I am having the same issue only it doesn't happen EVERY time, just nearly every time. I haven't lost any progress data and I've already arrived at my second open world area and it still does it. I am making sure my Antivirus firewall has this game and EA Games on its whitelist and keep you posted, but it is SERIOUSLY annoying. It takes so freaking long to get into this game I nearly loose interest by the time I can actually start playing.
@Shootumon Please go here:
C:\Users\your username\Saved Games\Respawn
and move the JediSurvivor folder to the desktop. (This will remove your saves, but you can restore them later.) Then launch the game again and see whether you still have the issue. You might need to go through the initial settings one more time.

Summarize your bug Every time I start the game it asked me to accept the agreement and step through the initial setup questions like brightness and sound and controller settings. They are the same as I set them on the first time so it appears saved but asks me every time. Maybe it is linked to the other bug I'm experiencing, being unable to quit the game via menus. Have to kill the process so an unclean shutdown may not save the state correctly? I don't have a game pad controller, only keyboard and mouse.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Installed recently so it may be something in recent patches? Play a new install and quit by killing the process. Restart the game and see if you get prompted for initial settings again.
What happens when the bug occurs? It says optimizing game files after the lucasarts logo, then prompts me to accept the agreement again, and sound settings, brightness etc. It has retained the values chosen the first time.
What do you expect to see? It should have saved the state that I've accepted the agreement and not ask every time I start up or go through the initial setup questions again.
As said in the summary, this may be linked to the other bug about being unable to exit the game cleanly via menus. Reported by other people as starting to happen in recently patched games.
Btw did this end up fixing it by any chance. I have the issue aswell and I'm on the first planet and this bug keeps occurring aswell. I don't really care about it but it would still be much better without having the bug.
Actually weirdly enough it randomly stopped happening after the game crashed when I was playing. I do not know how it ended up fixing it but I have booted the game two times since it has crashed and the entire intro has not been shown.

This did not help unfortunately, really annoying issue.
@chili98765 How far into the game have you progressed? Others in this thread have mentioned that the issue disappeared once they arrived on Koboh, the second planet.
