Re: Sims 3 64 bit & Metal - CAN'T DOWNLOAD STORE CONTENT / CAN'T LOG INTO EA ACCOU

@MzHayter79  There's no need to sign into the launcher to download store content.  Please try signing into store.thesims3.com with the same email address and password that you use in Origin.  If it doesn't work, try using a private browsing window instead, and if that doesn't work either, try a different browser.

Your screenshots don't show anything, so I can't see the error.  However, there is one common issue that prevents people from downloading store content and is easily fixed.  Open a Finder window, click Go at the top of your screen, hold down the optn (alt) key, and select Library.  From there, open Application Support > Origin.  Normally there would be a folder called Installer Data inside.  If it doesn't exist, create one.  Then launch Origin and repair Sims 3: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.

Once you've repaired, sign into the store site and try to download an item.  Let me know whether it works.

@Lemons927  When you click Install, do you see a second plumbob in your dock?  If so, please click that: it's for the splash screen and installer window, which can be hidden behind the launcher.

@Lemons927  Please move your entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  Open the launcher to create a new folder, then download one item (a fresh copy) and try to install it.  Let me know whether it works.

If the launcher still freezes, please make sure iCloud isn't automatically syncing the contents of Documents with cloud storage.  This guide is for a different issue, but the relevant settings are the same:

@Lemons927  Try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.

If that doesn't help, please try downloading and installing content in a new admin user account on your Mac.  Don't link your Apple ID or anything else to the new user account, and don't import any settings.  You should be able to sign into your current Origin account and open Sims 3 from there.  When downloading store content, please use Firefox.
