I repaired the game, also took out the sims 4 folder, and opened up the game to 'restart' it and deleted the localthumbcache, i am still having the issue and the issue is happening with other houses as well

Hi @Tayelikel
I checked my game and I think from your picture, you're not clicking on the actual Sim but on the bed/soft.
Click on the head of the Sim instead of the body.
thats what the issue is, i click on the head of the sim and there is no interaction avaible, that option to 'wake up' doesnt come up at all
- crinrict7 years agoHero+Could you also test a new save then ? Just for testing purposes to see if it's save game related or a general issue.
ive done that to, opened up a new game with no save files and still had that issue
- crinrict7 years agoHero+And that's the only interaction you have issues with or are there others not showing up ?
So far thats all i noticed, everything else seems to be ok, which is why im wondering if its a patch issue

Haven't seen any other reports. Will tag this as needs input for now to see if others are seeing this.
Don't think there's more troubleshooting we can do atm as you've done most things.
Only option I can think of at this point is creating a new windows user and start a brand new game there to see if you have the same issue.
just tried that as well and yes the issue is still there

Well, then I am out of ideas for the moment. Let's see if anyone else sees this.
Don't think that looking at your save would help as it doesn't seem connected to a specific save game.EDIT: Could you maybe record a video and upload to youtube (unlisted) then link here ? maybe that can give a clue what's happening.
I can later, I just got to work. But what happens is...
I select a Sim that needs to sleep
Once the sim is my active Sim I click on the bed and the menu comes up with the 'sleep' option
The sleep command goes into the queue and my Sim does the command, they go the bed and sleep
However, once they are asleep, I cant select the sim, putting the mouse on there body/head wont highlight the sim, when I click on the sim nothing happens (though i am able to shift click them and the cheat menu comes up)
Not being able to select the sim while there sleeping means i can't bring up the wake up option, but I'm able to cancel the sleep action in the queue and also select other things around, I also noticed that if I have a second sim in the home, I can switch to that second sim and they can preform the wake up option on the other sim,Basically no matter which sim is active, the active sim cannot preform actions/there not selectable while asleep

OK. So maybe that's where the issue lies then. I don't think you should be able to do it with just one Sim. It's the other Sim that wakes the sleeping Sim. If you want to work with just one Sim, you'll need to cancel the interaction like you said.
have you ever had an wake up option with just one Sim ?
EDIT: Just tested this and yes, there is no such option if you don't have a second Sim to wake.
- Ok so you can't select the active sim while there asleep either? Does that mean it's an issue in the patch?

I don't think it was ever different. Don't think it's a bug. It's just not something you can do. You need another Sim to wake you up and if you don't have that, cancel the queue.
