Re: Sims can't cuddle while watching a movie

Oh my goodness, I'm so unlucky.

I actually removed my "Saves" folder and updated a few Mods I had (Pose Player, Teleport Mod, UI Cheats Extension. I also have a camera and lighting mod but I thought they couldn't be the problem) My game is running a lot faster, but now my Sims won't even obey me when I tell them to cuddle while watching a movie.

Could this problem be related to, specifically, Mods? Or custom content like makeup, hair, clothes, etc.?

I had such a terrible week, and now this happens. This is the cherry on top. I went through the same kind of difficulties a few patches ago. I had to reset my game to factory settings, import my Sims, redownload all the CC, rebuild my game from the start... And it was all so stressful. I don't think I want to go through this again. I am terrified of updates. My game breaks and my anxiety can't handle it. For the sake of my emotional well-being, I am going to get over it for now. Hopefully it'll be gone in the next update.

I was really really hoping it wasn't going to be a Mod-related problem..

But just in case anyone finds out which piece of CC or Mod is causing this, I would love to know. My apologies for any disturbance, commotion or otherwise negativity I may have caused. 💔

    I'm sorry to hear you had a difficult week ☹️ Just take it easy and remember this is a game, and can wait to be fixed until you are in a better mood. And until then, you can create a new game without mods and enjoy your sims in there 🙂

    Sadly, I do think it's a mods related issue. Most probably a mod, not custom content, but everything is possible. Keep in mind that every time the game is updated the game files change. That's the reason why the mods (which modify the game files) can become incompatible after a patch. You can find more info here.

    Also, you may find useful this list. It contains the mods that are known to be giving issues with the new patch. It doesn't list all the mods that are uncompatible, but can help you 😉

    Hello, I took out half of the files in my Mods folder, but the problem still persisted. Then I took the remaining files out, meaning I basically ran my game without any Mods/CC, and the problem was still there. My Sims won't do as they're told. Is it possible that my problem is not caused by Mods/CC then?

    Also, my apologies for complaining.. I realize managing the game and ensuring bugs are fixed musn't be easy for the developers. Thank you for being so helpful and supportive.

    Don't worry, you are not being rude nor causing any disturbances at all! Indeed, it's good to know what's wrong with the game, it's necessary to be able to fix or improve it 😉 So thank you!

    Yes, if it works without mods, the problem may be caused by something else. Could you please try the following to figure out if it's a problem in your save game or in the game?

    1. Disable mods and CC in the game using the options menu
    2. Create a new game and load one of the families that already live in the world
    3. Try to make the sims in there cuddle.

    Do they cuddle now?
