Re: 2019 Sims 4 CAS Sims not saving to Library!

@bernicenava

You have probably outdated UIC mod
Move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder
Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library -right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if a game is working now without mods and CC.
Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
You need to find a culprit and either remove it or replace it with an updated version

I don't work for EA

  • I am having the same issue. I have NO CC or mods in my game. Does anyone have another solution?

These answers are not helping me at all. I've done everything suggested, I have the right boxes checked off, and still, none of my Save to My Library efforts work. Nothing is there, and it's quite frustrating because I run a YouTube channel devoted to speed builds and would like to have these lots made available on my Gallery page. I'll try to be patient waiting for the right answer to appear, but until then, I don't understand why it's happening. When you click the Save to My Library option and then say Yes, Save to My Library, that should be it. There shouldn't BE any problems with something so basic. Disappointed and sad.

@LoriBQ Do you want to upload to the Gallery (visible to everyone) or to the library (local for you) ?

I wanted to reply sooner but got distracted... sorry.

I want my saves to be in My Library, but it only shows up in My Library if I save to the Gallery.

There are times when I would rather NOT save to the Gallery, though. Again, my issue has to do with the odd fact that the game gives you the option to SAVE TO MY LIBRARY, but it doesn't work. Nothing 'saves' there.

The option for privacy outweighs my need to show off, and having to put my stuff on the Gallery just to get it into my private Save Folder is ridiculous.

I did the remove folders, clear cache, repair game, etc., and nothing changes (for me).

@LoriBQ Do you have enough disc space left ? Does a new tray folder generate if you remove it ?

Yes, in answer to both questions. There isn't much in My Library folder since I'm unable to save that way.

@LoriBQ I take it you have no issues saving the game ? What about after you create a Sim in CAS ? Those are usually automatically saved to the library. Do those also not save ?

I don't have trouble saving a game (during a build, in play, or when exiting game), and in CAS, clicking the CHECK button after creating Sims to play, but none of it has ever appeared in my Library folder. The only way they or a Lot will go to that folder is if I select Save to Gallery (or share it or whatever it says).

@LoriBQ What Operating system do you have ?

It seems to me that something is preventing the game to save to your tray folder which is why they don't appear. On the other hand it's curious that you say if you save them to the gallery, they also appear in the library.

I assume those files appear in your tray folder as well ?

Well, I only know that there are files in the Tray folder (some images as well). It's my understanding that these are GAME save files for each time I do game play. But as for what the files ARE... you got me there.

@LoriBQ The tray folder only contains stuff you have saved to the library.

Save files are in the saves folder.

Each item consists of several tray folder files so you usually have more than one file per item.

Could you post some pictures maybe how your tray folder and your library look like (please make sure to edit out any personal information)
