Sooo basically I updated my sim game and it was working fine. I got some poses and an iphone accessory but I didn't check my game after I just shut off my computer. The next day I tried to play and it loaded on San Myshuno which I didn't really pay much attention to. My game stopped working and it was stuck on the loading screen so I had to reset, even tried yesterday and left it for a few hours and still nothing. I do have mods but me and two of my other friends games haven't been working. Please Help.

I've removed all my mods, including MCCC and the game still doesn't work. I have no idea what to do, but this is obviously a widespread problem. Have EA mentioned doing anything about it?

Hi @Elizabethlynn287 @Supercrown3435 @janettza @ShendiMarieSim the seasons patch broke a lot of custom content and mods. You will need to find which ones are broken for you and update or remove them from your game. Here's a list: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/941998/broken-updated-mods-seasons-june-2018-patch to help you narrow down which mods/cc need updating. There could be more.

No, I’m not getting any error messages. I just go to Origin and click play and it just gets stuck and frozen and when I click on the sims icon it says “application not responding.” I am not very tech savvy though and don’t want to play around and risk losing any of my saved games. I thought it was an issue with my mods but I removed all of them and it still didn’t work!

It has also been happening to me and I am very annoyed especially with seasons coming out soon.

The same issue has been happening to me as well I really hope there is a way to fix it ive been restarting my computer even uninstalling the game and reinstalling it to see but nothing works so hopefully something might change and a miracle might happen

I uninstalled MCCC and UI extensions mod and it works perfectly now 🙂

Hi

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

The exact same thing happened to me! I took some of my mods out and then it worked and took me all the way to my family, but I really love those mods and can’t really play without so I tried to add them back in and then the game wouldn’t even load at all after I opened it from Origin! I then deleted ALL of my mods, every single one and it still wouldn’t even open! Now I can’t play at all :/ and right before Seasons comes out too!

Are you getting any error messages ? Did you try suggestion above as well as repairing your game ?
