can you keep the Sims 4 base game after the free origin trial is up?

I have seen many people respond to questions like this saying yes you can keep it but I am still confused as to whether I will be&nbsp; able to keep the game after the 48hr period or wil it not be functional after my 48hrs is up? Can you still play the Sims 4 base game after the origin free trial is up? Do you get to keep it?

@prettycupcakes21&nbsp;Yes, you can keep it installed or remove it. This is in case you decide to buy it so that you can continue playing with what you created before the trial ended.

Oh ok so I pretty much just got the base game for free but I just can't add packs or kits to it since it's not the official base game?
