Re: Sims Already Running
@bunnykylie02You can either start the game from the desktop shortcut of Sims 4 or the EA app.
Doesn't the game start when you open the EA app and only click the play/start button in the app?

When I click the desktop shortcut, it will open the EA app and the “Sims already running” will pop up. I have looked in my task manager and the Sims does not appear there, only the EA app. I have also tried restarting my computer and going straight to the Sims but it will still say that it is running.
@bunnykylie02 Are you still having issues? If so, please set exceptions in your antivirus for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe. If you only use Windows Defender, and Controlled Folder Access is enabled, set those same exceptions. (Don't enable CFA if it's not already running.)
Please launch Sims 4 from your EA App game library, not from its desktop shortcut.
I tried that and it still shows the pop up in EA saying its already running
@41r1ptqd2a6y Please create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that. Make it local, as in, don't use your Microsoft-associated email.
I did that and now EA Launcher wont even open because its "already running"
@41r1ptqd2a6y Restart your computer and try again.
If that doesn't work, run the EA App recovery, the method that doesn't require the App to be open:

and restart again.
