Re: Cannot change the language in Sims 4

@aileen_s21  Some countries receive the language-locked version of Sims 4, including Ukraine as far as I know.  There's no way around this within the EA App, at least no way that's allowed under EA's terms of service.

If you want to play in English, install the game through Steam, which only offers the global version of Sims 4.  Uninstall the EA App version first.  You will need to link your Steam and EA accounts as well.

    Oh, what a pity.. ☹️
    Thanks for the answer.

In case EA team reads this - a big request to do something about this issue, to add the possibility to change languages.
If you are ever planning to add Ukrainian language - I am ready to help you with the translation, I am a philologist and would love to contribute to this as I love Sims, feel free to contact me. ❤️

Please understand that using russian for ukrainians is not a solution - despite the fact that most of us knows russian, it is really unpleasant to use the language of our invaders.. And this is quite a fundamental question under the current circumstances.

    Many thanks for understanding.

@aileen_s21  I doubt Maxis will add a Ukranian translation to Sims 4 at this late date, although perhaps feedback like this will make the team consider it for Sims 5.  In the interim, it might be possible to create a community project to provide translations as a mod of some kind.  I don't have any modding skills and wouldn't know how this works; I'm just saying it seems feasible in theory.  And the project would need translators as well as a coder.

I doubt EA would help in any way since it would at the very least involve modding, which is accepted but not officially supported.  And sharing program files, rather than distributing a mod, if that's how the translation was provided, would get into territory that might technically violate the terms of service.

Still, I'm sure that you're not the only Ukranian who would enjoy playing in your language, and it would be wonderful to see a solution to this even if it had to come from the community.
