@sofuuuh It sounds like you've handled this correctly, at least the part that concerns user files. Do you have Sims 4's program files on the SSD? If so, you'd need to uninstall the game through the EA App and reinstall it on your internal drive. Actually, you don't "need to" do this unless you don't want your SSD involved at all. But having the program files there would explain why you can't eject the drive while running the game.
If you're not sure where the game is installed, open your EA App game library, click Sims 4, then Manage > View properties, and you'll see the file path there:
If Sims 4 is on your internal drive, please restart your computer without the SSD connected, then launch Sims 4 and let me know if anything is amiss. If you get an error message, please post a screenshot.
