@juulisnotonfire  Try uninstalling the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).  If that doesn't work the first time, restart your computer, open the Task Manager and kill any EA-related processes you see (including in the background services list), and try again.

The first step here is to get the EA App running properly, so let me know if it's still not working.  If it is, try again to play Sims 4, launching the game through the App's game library.
