Charge Rifle should be either removed or moved to care packages.

The playstyle this gun has generated is outrageous, and makes the other snipers totally useless at range. I found lots of teams camping in the zone with 3 charge rifles literally lasering you like nothing. The gun requieres absolutely no skill as it doesn’t have any bullet travel time or bullet drop. It is very unbalanced and i think it’s a weapon that doesn’t belong to Apex Legends. To balance things a bit, all sniper rifles should get a muzzle velocity increase as well as the Anvil receiver hop up, bullets must be faster or these weapons would be far under the level of the charge rifle. And this gun should be moved to care packages only and the L-Star could be moved to world spawn, accepting small sights, stock and extended mags using energy ammo. This game is a skill based game and you shouldn’t have an overpowered hitscan sniper rifle, both noobs and pro players literally obliterate you with that without giving you a chance, it’s even better than the Kraber, as bullets are quite inconsistent on this game.

Besides that, all these nerfs we’ve seen on R301, R99, Alternator, Wingman and more weren’t needed. The thing is that players started to learn and master these guns, and they got very skilled with them, and ofc the casual players complained about it, but the PROBLEM ISN’T THE GUNS BUT MATCHMAKING. Having casual players competeing against pro players will result in lots of complains that will affect guns and other players. Lots of players find right now harder to use these guns, but the sensation of being insta killed is still there, and it’s not a gun issue but a netcode and performance problem. Nerfing these guns won’t fix the problem because we still feel we’re being lasered most of times, now if you add the Charge Rifle it makes it a very frustrating experience not only to casual players but also to regular active players. This game needs work on netcode and performance and nerfing these guns won’t fix the issue.

 

 

 

Option 1: Care package weapon. Relatively same stats. Unique ammo. 5+20

Option 2: World spawn and Heavy nerf

Reduce base damage(70) + damage falloff over distance + overheating(after 3 shots in a row) + increase energy consumption to 5 per shot
