Xbox Elite not registering paddle inputs

What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. strafing

When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) It began on the 1st and Its been happening ever since
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

What happens when the bug occurs? My xbox elite series 2 has 2 paddles on the back for jump and crouch. In game once every 3-5 presses the button is not registered. This leaves my characters either in a crouched or a standing position. Being unable to crouch and jump when needed is a game breaking bug.
What should be happening instead? when i press crouch of jump the input should be registered
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? use an xbox elites series 2, on an xbox series s.
It's not an issue with the controller as it consistently works on other games. When i change the button mapping so the paddles are other buttons, they work fine. It's only when i'm strafing and I press crouch and jump. I've uninstalled and am currently re installing the game.
It works fine at the start of a game session, then 30-50 minutes in, it begins not registering the inputs.
It might be worth noting the controller is up to date as is the xbox and game.
What should I do to fix this bug
