I can also confidently say i would have quit this game a long time ago if i never swapped to controller.will respawn eletronic art ever nerf aim assist in 2024? console player hereI think the best way to solve this is , turn off AA for PC ranked mode only for roller players and turn off AA in ALGS.console players will be left untouched as the playfield is even , if a console player join PC lobby then also turn off AA.some of PC players who are playing with roller will complain but they can go back to MNK at anytime they want .or the more difficult option is , give console 120 FPS and MNK input option , but then people who never touched MNK in thier lives will stay away from the game, that means loosing optional new players , and need to separate lobbies by input.the way I see it ,is the main complains are coming from the so called pros , so everything is orbiting around them.then make the ALGS an MNK only or turn of AA in ALGS.but if that's done then officially Apex will be MNK only game .side note , whatever happens roller players will adapt and some will out perform MNK players then we will see new type of complains.it's human nature to always give an excuse for failure, everyone do it.even on console including me when I lose most of the time I don't admit that I got outplayed and try to find an excuse ( Ping, input,cheater,lag, bad teammates etc etc ).so the point is we all need to adapt if we want to keep the game alive or everyone can keep complaining and it will end up differently.I can't imagine if these pros were a real sport players what they do , they will be complaining about everything like a spoiled kid.if they were soccer or basket ball players they will be like " the field is wet , the weather is hot or cold , the opponents are taller or bigger players than us , the opposite team is wearing bright colors , the ball is big, the ball is small or we are not getting cheered enough "imagine if Hal was an NBA player and the other team got a 6.9 tall player he will be like " they need to nerf player x , he is too tall " 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Or they just pull the plug on the game & servers if the player numbers get small enough. And in that case those diehards find a new home playing the R5 Reloaded Apex. But it would be stupid business plan to kill the milking cow now wouldnt it. Please expect more controller buffs.

Console player here:The issue is forced crossplay. PC should have the ability to opt out of crossplay— the fact that they can’t is legitimately ridiculous.I still think MnK is the superior input method overall, but you have to give people a CHOICE.As it pertains to the pro scene, I don’t think the inputs should be mixed. Because TECHNICALLY you want the entire structure/tournament to measure skill as purely as possible. Aim assist is meant to assist players on controller to “keep up” with the superior input method (MnK); TECHNICALLY aim assist is an external entity thats working in conjunction with a controller players’ input and this detracts from measuring the absolute skill of everyone competing.

@derankall As a controller player I personally don't see much benefit of the aim assist.80% of the time it's not working.The time it is working, its mostly off sync by half a yard wide and also messes up your aim when you're aiming at one player and it moves your aim because of another, or a player moving means it drags your aim off target when you were trying to lead.

What Hal left out was the fact that he switched to play MnK for gifted subs Link to reddit discussion . He made somewhat 2500 dollars on those subs in 2 hours because viewers want to see MnK plays rather than just R99 one clip after another. Similar way the EMEA team 40% Worse playing with triple MnK had at somepoint half of all Apex twitch viewers during their PLQ run (18 000 / 35 000). Why isnt EA seeing a pattern in terms of viewership & comp? I personally dont have anything against aim assist and I understand why it is needed in casual play but in terms of game viewership EA should really start to connect the dots. If they dont want to touch the aim assist I would love to see big buffs and nerfs. Nerf SMGs to ground and buff Shotguns. Bring in all the maps for comp. Buff the least played legends to ALGS meta levels. Nerf Horizon, bang and cat bit below that. Tell pro divas to shut up and cope to be able to win the money.

My advice to you as a fellow MnK old timer is, its time to accept defeat. If you want Apex to survive they will most likely buff aim assist and allow movement configs (like they already have) on controller.

Old timer here myself I agree w you. I won't ever come back to Apex. All they had to do for PC gamers is five an option to turn off cross play but no. Screw em. Only reason I'm here cuz as of past week I been seeing videos about how Apex is dead cuz the chronus and hackers are completley outta control.

Where did you get the data that most controller users are kids exactly? I speak as a console player who plays on the PS5 & Xbox X where controllers are the only means of playing games atm & I'm very much an adult category much like the vast bulk of teammates I have played alongside over the years who were also console players.But if you are referring to controller players on PC then that's another thing entirely.
Regarding the old nerfing AA for controller players to some sort of parity with M&K debate I can understand if it was for controller players on PC but certainly not as things currently stand regarding us console players with the giant elephant in the room.That elephant in the room being the difference in frame rate that PC players can enjoy 120fps (capped at 160fps) whilst us console players (especially next gen PS5/XBOX X) can only play on 60fps.In Lehman's terms that means PC players are playing at double the speed,reaction times etc & if that isn't some sort of advantage I don't know what is.The small difference if at all noticeable in AA times between us console players & PC m&k players is only a small compensation aside from frame rate differential but also the many movement advantages that the Timmy Tap Strafer can enjoy on their m&k.
Anyway Respawn have always proved to be in various pro players back pockets as whenever the pros want something changed in the game Respawn will tend to bend over backwards to change it regardless if the changes are for the good of the game or not & are more for the self interest of these pro players. I do expect Respawn to nerf AA for all controller players but to caveat any satisfactory changes then they are going to need to roll out 120fps for us console players first.But from what I hear 120fps on console isn't in the immediate pipeline.

@Redmattgame Its the overall potential. Perhaps I was too harsh on my summary to lump up the controller players in the same batch as console players.
I think crossprogression is the final attempt to save the player numbers (lump all the players in the same lobby -> have working lobbies) which isnt really working.

To my point: In my household we have 3 consoles that can run Apex and one gaming PC. You already know how those are divided between me and my kids. Buying console is way much easier & cheaper than gaming PC.
Fortnite has +100 million players per month. Apex has had 130 million players during its lifetime. 78% of the players are playing on console & over 60% of the players are on the younger side. And Fortnite is making buttloads of money. Fortnite stats
Above has nothing to do with Apex directly but my guess is that EA would be stupid not to target those players. So its about the potential.

EDIT: Same theory goes with the microtransactions. Son got 160€ worth of bday gift cards from his friends for Xbox shop and spent pretty much every bit of it on Fortnite. Me, I rather buy a new game from Steam sales for 5€ (and never have time to play it) than spend that money on skins etc.

@Airish85 Man I wish Apex had stats like that. People on here tell us that because the ranked sites show more people on PC ranked than console ranked there has to be more PC Apex players. They ignore that maybe PC players are more mature or more competitive so they play ranked and console players do not. Or maybe the sites arent accurate in their reporting. I am not saying it's one way or the other but I've seen a lot of assumptions without real data.

Maybe a little bit off-topic, but worth mentioning (and haven't seen anyone ever mentioning it). That some people with a light form of autism (might not even be aware of themselves) make up for a part of these good players, as they can process every pixel at the same time and react quickly to it. So, it's not always aim-assist or cheats.

Well the OP is obviously just here to provoke a fight so putting that aside... @Axs5626Sxa5001 you're right. The game feels clunky to me so I don't mind if they tweak Aim Assist in any way. However the problem with AA won't go away so long as PC is forced into mixed lobbies. Even if they managed to perfectly balance the two inputs neither side will really agree.
For the sake simplicity the inputs should be separated so that skill and intelligence are the only deciding factors.
