Re: Battlelog-web-plugins_2.1.3.109.exe will not "run" or "save"

Sounds like your AntiVirus program is a bit over-zealous. Try disabling it just while you install the plugin.

Only download it from the source not from any direct links players have been posting around the forums.

Check that Origin & Battlefield are added to your AntiVirus Exceptions List.

Alternatively you could try easing the restrictions of the AV a notch, or consider using a different one like Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG Free, MBAM AntiMalwareBytes, BitDefender.

The problem (i think) turned out to be IE 10.  IE 10 would not even let me download from the McAfee website when I was trying to get help.  Everything kept stating there was a virus and it would not allow any downloads.  I loaded Mozilla FoxFire and it accepted the Battlelog plugin download immediately.   Everyting is up and running with no issues.   I have not C4 anyone in over three days and I was having withdraws...🙂  Thank you.

  • Hi there,

If you’re experiencing this issue on Firefox, leave the Battlelog webpage and press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to delete your Internet browser’s cache and cookies.

Then reboot Firefox, go to Battlelog and let the browser install the required plugins again.

Let me know if this works or not. You can also download the plug-in from a direct link here: http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/cdnprefix/87d309dfc3d9/public/download/battlelog-web-plugins_2.1.3_109.exe

    - With kind regards,

      Timmie.
