BF4 won't start

Bump.

Have you tried the basics? This list should cover the most of it:

• check harddrive integrity for errors: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-chkdsk/
• run a Windows system file check: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-the-system-file-checker/
• reinstall Origin
• repair BF4 and DLC's
• Try using the vc installers and the directx installer located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer - then reboot and try again.
• Add the new BF4.exe file to all your firewalls
• Remove the settings folder in C:\Users\username\Documents\Battlefield 4\
• try running the game after a clean boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

Also, always mention your system specifications and what drivers you have installed, especially your graphics driver

Thanks for the tips but sadly, the game still won't start for me.

Having the same issue.  The icon will appear on the taskbar but never launches.

Never mind, I fixed the issue now. Turns out that my Windows firewall was blocking Origin so it wouldn't start up the game. Everything works fine now.
