BF4 won't start

Whenever I try to join a server, BF4 won't start up. Origin will just blink orange in my taskbar and nothing happens. I either get "BF4 is not responding. Use task manager to shut it down" or "We're sorry, BF4 didn't launch"

What's up with it? I haven't changed anything, I just kept a break from playing the game and now it wont start? I tried verifying the game files and I checked for updates but it didn't help.

  • Have you tried the basics? This list should cover the most of it:

Also, always mention your system specifications and what drivers you have installed, especially your graphics driver

Thanks for the tips but sadly, the game still won't start for me.

  • Having the same issue.  The icon will appear on the taskbar but never launches.

Never mind, I fixed the issue now. Turns out that my Windows firewall was blocking Origin so it wouldn't start up the game. Everything works fine now.
