    The one I have issues with sometimes I can play for 5 mins or an hour before I lose conenction or lose because of the UDP error nonsense. The ones I can play in I play jsut fine for any amount of time.

  • To try and help you Ravensbro29 give this a try if not done.. Edit... Yes I understand it is the one server but still worth trying this... 

    When I had this error what I had to do was ... Turn off PC then unplug cable box/ modem for 5 min as well as if you have router unplug it as well for 5 min. Then turn on cable box/ modem let it fully boot up then plug the  router back in and let it fully boot up. Now turn on your PC and test BF4.

    If this fails to fix it then try things below if not done...

    Run the game as Administrator:
    Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x64)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4) and find Bf4.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.
    Do the same with BF4_x86.exe as well.

    Run Origin as Administrator:
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and right click on Origin.exe and go to properties. Then go to compatibility tab and check the box next to RUN AS ADMIN.

    Disable Origin in game:
    In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game

    Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
    Origin, settings, General

    Make Sure BF4 is set to 64bit if your windows is 64bit
    1- open origin and go to My Games
    2-Right click BF4 and go to Game Properties
    3-Under when launching this game set it to x64 and check off disable origin in game.
    4- Hit apply REBOOT your PC and then test your BF4

    Reboot PC test BF4

    Another thing that may be worth trying: run a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
    This should ensure that no programs are interfering in the background.

    Check your firewall to be sure it is open to the game and not blocking it.
    Below are programs known to make issues in BF4

    Disable Mantle if you have it and try Direct X, Turn OFF Anti-Aliasing Deferred in video card settings in game. If you have page file turned off then turn it back on as this can make errors even with 32gigs ram.

    Others have said if they uninstall MSI Afterburner issues / crashing is stopped. So if you have this installed remove program and test BF4. Also look at other programs as Asus Game First Service, Razer synapse, Razer Cortex, Qualcomm Killer Service , Fraps, EVGA Precision, Geforce experience, be sure to turn off the streaming function that is enabled by default ,Raptr, RivaTuner , ASRock eXtreme Tuner, Steam, Skype, aero ,Overwolf extra program in teamspeak and xfire are known to make issues as well. And I am sure more programs not in my list yet turn one off at a time and test BF4.

    Uninstall the HD Audio Driver from the video card driver install add/remove programs. This silly thing makes issues in BF4 for some. Reboot then repair BF4 to be safe.

    Another thing to try is re- install origin only not your game just origin.

    1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
    2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
    3. Download the latest here: http://origin.com/download
    4. Install Origin You should not be prompted to update.

    If all this fails to fix it then try this...

    C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield 4

    BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.

    1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
    2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
    3-Repair BF4
    4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF4.

  • Killer I got disconnected from all those.

    Zorlacc I have done all the reinstalls and changed settings around and all that nonsense. I only get booted from some servers not all so the installs and stuff shouldnt be an issue but I did them anyway. I have also restared my routers and modem and things many times to no avail

  • Okay so it would seem you MAY have a timeout issue with EA but you also probably have an error with the Servers located in Chicago.

  • Fair enough as I had the feeling you had done it all already but I wanted to be sure :womanwink: If you know the server admin ask him to check his server cfg as one wrong setting in the server cfg could do this as well.

  • I had the same issue when our server was located in LA. I can play on URock servers, ML servers and SOC servers just fine. We have tried bare procon, no procon, all kinds of settings for the server. Only a couple of us have had issues with the server and we are on completely different sides of the country.

  • Strange issue :womanfrustrated: this second I need to think on this more on what you can do to fix it. I also passed your topic to a good friend of mine to see if he has any ideas for you.

  • I think I may have narrowed a lot of the issue down to Gameserver servers. I have sent them an email to see if they can give me any insight

  • Nice , I used to rent my servers from them in many games over the years, the only issue I had with emails/ ticket  with them is...... I ask a question and they ask more questions and it was not fixed :womansad:. A few times I just moved my server to fix a issue like this or due to lag on the server from them having to many servers on same box. That is once I was sure the issue was not in my server cfg.:womanlol: It could well be due to the server box they have your server on.

    Fingers crossed for you Ravensbro29 I hope you get a good staff to respond to your ticket with them as they do have some very good staff.

  • I hope they can fix it. We moved it from LA to CHicago to try and fix some lag issues and high ping for most people

    Hi There!

    I've bought your product recently called Battledield 4. This games was liked by me. So I decided to buy. But when I have downloaded it ant started to play on servers with the best ping for my area I was beset with a problem of a connetion break. It is indicated as 4 squares in the right top corner of a window.

    As a matter of fact, I am asking you how to solve this problem for comfortable gaming taking into account that it is in all servers which I chose and I have a PC with high enough technical characterists for a gaming.

    I'll appreciate you for the fastest answer.

  • The 4 squares is paket loss not neccesarily connection break, but high packet loss can be a bad issue. Set your PC to have a static IP address and if the problem stays then talk to your ISP as there may be an issue with your lines or connection there.

  • See if you can get the server moved to somewhere else or find a new host as thaty would seem to be your issue.
