When I get weird issues like that doing a hard reset of my xbone usually clears it up (your data will be fine this is a hard reset and not a factory reset). To do the hard reset while logged into your Xbone hold the power button until the console turns off. Then once it's off simply turn the Xbone back on - you'll know the reset was successful because your Xbone will go through the long boot up process with the Xbox screen before going to the login screen. Then log in with your account and try to join a ballroom blitz map.
